Just bought the Arteon (partly as a result of this review). These "comprehensive" reviews are outstanding in detail and presentation. First class and the best on You Tube.
This would make sense as a purchase if the dealer offers a huge discount, but other than that you've to be looking to claim depreciation as a form of tax avoidance.
Personally, I like driving a car that not everyone else drives. I love my Passat GT with the VR6, and I love my Arteon SEL Premium R-Line 4Motion. Yes, they are a poor man's Audi. But at least they aren't another box-like SUV blending in with the masses. And I'm poor, so that just fits me just fine. As far as people go, I don't like the majority of those things, so I don't let their opinion of my vehicle selections affect me. It's my money, so I'll spend it the way I want to... and you can spend your money the way you want to. Drive safe... or don't... let natural selection take its course.
It's a sweet car but a little too high on the pricing considering the massive depreciation this model suffers in most countries. Just not a great financial decision and I don't think there's anything to truly love here.
VW seem to be a poor persons Audi. Why buy a VW when you can get an Audi instead for not a lot more ? At least they have some appeal, although im not a fan.
I really don't understand the need for VW to be in this market, they just don't sell enough and the Audi can be a bit cheaper since the quality is nosediving with the new generation of models.
I just cant get excited about VW cars. Ive driven many models but nope, they have no character. Dull, bland, washing machines. Even the Golf R. VW vans are the best thing they make.
@@matthewsmith2787 In my opinion is a VW everything except 'premium'. VolksWagen means litteraly People's Car. But i have to admit Vw and FrAudi are good in marketing. But it's still boring and blend to drive and i don't want to drive a cheatingsoftware brand car
