This my first VW as well...dont have to worry much... Service costs are higher but service interval is higher as well (15000 Kms)... Also take extended warranty for more peace of mind... If you want to own any German brand, you have to take the plunge! 😁 Expect 8-9k annual service cost as opposed to 4-5k max for Hyundais and Suzukis...👍
For any car manufacturer, for the parts covered under warranty, depending on running distance you have to pay some portion of money.. if vehicle had covered only minimal distance then you have yo pay almost no amount.. But if you have covered say 10000 kms, then you might have to pay for example 20%of the amount...this is same for all manufacturers. And labour charge ( there will be discount there as well)...
Hi Guys booked a POLO GT TSI AT, Flash red colour any suggestions on the seat cover colour and brand..I will travel often long trips so ergonomics wise need a good seat cover with comfort
I bought this ....1.0 ltr TSI highline automatic in sunset red, great car, fun to drive and very comfortable. Only gripe I have are the headlights.......should have had LEDs like the GTI or the Vento. Otherwise great purchase.
Congratulations!... Agreed, headlamps should have better intensity and throw.. I'm planning to swap stock headlamp bulbs with Orsram Night breaker or some other alternative..
@@ReviewingIndian would appreciate if you could tell me what kind of bulb it uses H7 or something. I will use the Phillips diamond vision 5000k. Trying to get my hand on it.
I live in Kolkata.please confirm me whether I can buy polo for my occasional weekend country side road trip with its low ground clearance.Shall I have to face for it.
Nice review . Just booked my highline plus grey . Any suggestions on the the color of seat covers that would go well with it considering the interior is all black ?
Planning to get this on my birthday. Red color Test drove this few days back, it's a rocket. Just worried about rear seat space, is it too bad ? Any feedback would be great mate.
Except ground clearance, you've my clearance on it bro... Gonfor it. .. There's no car which comes closer in any aspect! Except for comfort, gr clearance, space!
She didn’t have any issues! for your info she is of average height, i feel that people above 5’9”-5-10” might find it slightly low on leg space, that said under thigh support is pretty good
Currently in dilemma as to which one to buy polo or some FE diesel cars like altroz or nexon, So I m pretty much curious to know one thing “since polo is fun to drive and makes one to drive at 140 easily on higways, So in this case what would be fuel efficiency!!
If you ever have driven Petrol Freestyle, then make a video on difference between them. Also include night visibility of your car. Headlight throw ?? Also ground clearance experience.
Headlight throw is average! I'm gonna definitely upgrade to some high power bulbs like night breaker or something ☺️.. I'll work on freestyle video soon..
No ground clearance issue so far! Ive driven with 3 people and full luggage...maybe it could be an issue when it comes to huge speed humps and massive potholes
Freestyle has better gc. Rear seat comfort at par in both these car. VW tsi is leap and bounds ahead of freestyle. Steering response is so much better. If you are going by the badge work remember thi sint the same ford we had 10 or 5 years ago. It's more of mahindra now and doesnt have much to offer in terms of dynamics. Yes riding and handling is good and car feels solid.
@@ReviewingIndian slipping the clutch will be problematic in the long run, so it is advised to cross at 1st gear. Speed breaker size would be steep and stands at a decent height.
Better go for 1st gear as suggested...but that shouldn't be a problem...i suggest you test drive the car and decide..itll make you smile every time you press the accelerator hard 🙂
Bro is it true that 3people cannot seat comfortably at the back because of the space and the leg space is also very less at rear seat. Keens get touched to driver seat?
Hi dear hope u doing well ... recently I visited the vw showroom near my home ℹ had test drive GT version polo / automatic torque converter ( I love it 😻 performance and handling ) but my concern is service, engine reliability , because this engine is new in India 🇮🇳 and it has 3 cylinder and only 1000 cc .. do u think this engine is peace ✌️ of mind for long lasting ? Pls suggest me Thank u
First of all stop worrying... 1.0 TSI is world famous and is being used in even Audi models so no issue of reliability there! Turbo Stratified Injection (TSI) is being used in many 1000 cc engines nowadays to generate similiar power and torque...so no worries there as downsizing (small engine and more power) is the current trend used by most of the car manufacturers! Take proper care of your vehicle and get the service done at a good authorised service centre and you shouldn't have any problems...you can buy extended warranty for more peace of mind... Service cost is slight higher at Around 9000 rupees per service but service interval is also higher at 15000 kms compared to 10000 Kms for other companies so actual cost /km should be very similiar... If you want a proper drivers car that can make you smile whenever you drive it. Get the Polo TSI
I believe this car recommends min 95 RON petrol (check backside of fuel tank). That is not much available and it is generally 91RON in India. What are you filling and any idea on what should be done?
95 RoN is general recommendation ( German standard) and it's not applicable to our conditions!, Generally auto makers tune/detune the vehicle for Indian conditions ( for Indian fuel). So don't bother much about 95 RON as it's just a sticker. I use general fuel available (but from best fuel pumps) and if possible 95 octane from Shell or Special BP pumps (rare)...if I am right even MPI had same sticker on fuel filler flap.. So try and fill best fuel available
@@ReviewingIndian thanks. Though I feel so too, that sticker stating a minimum 95 is misleading in our country. Also, do you fill up the normal or the higher one ( eg for BP - normal vs speed)
Brother nice Vlog. Can you let me onow how is the low end torque for bumper to bumper city traffic. Pickup at low rpms. Also can you please tell me how is the suspension in terms of ride comfort for rear seat.
Low end torque is moderate below 1500 rpm.. You can take vehicle on 2nd gear a bump with a bit of effort... That said you have to put it in 1st when you are really slow for better pull... That said any speeds above 15-20 in 2nd gear will get you instant response... Vehicle pulls like a rocket above 1500 rpm and overtaking is pretty easy.. Ride comfort is surprisingly good, even in really bad roads you wouldn't here suspension thud or crashing with 2 people on the back...it feels more composed and doesn't shake too much
@@ReviewingIndian Thanks. Yes, I heard from many reviewers that the suspension is now tweaked to be more comfortable than Before. Planning for Polo TSi this december from Chennai.
Congratulations in advance... You can try VW Mount road as that where I have bought and they did remarkable job during delivery..Ask for Mr Gokulnath and you can mention my channel name
My tsi just got delivered yesterday, I'm loving it but I'm unsure about the claimed 18kmph mileage. For me the MID shows around 13-14. I've driven around 100 kms. What do you think about it and is the Avg fuel consumption accurate?
First of all congratulations! Mileage is mostly accurate...I got close to 17 on a 500+ km road trip while during short drives I'm getting 13-14 and inside city around 12-13...it all depends on driving style...spirited driving as well as very slow driving will reduce the mileage...keep the engine revving sweetly ( not hard) and you'll get some good numbers
Confused bw polo colour Flash red like it but not sure in long run how. Its going to luk Candy whitte sober decent long lasting Carbon steel luks premium but dont know how gud it is in reality n might catch dust
Hi Bro, I got a POLO GT 1.0 TSI Recently as well. And I did notice the coolant tank, boiling/bubbling post a drive. Is it normal/ common? Should I be worried about it? I hope you must have had your vehicle for almost 6 months now, approximately. So just wanted to ask you if I should even be worrying about it.
I don't have any issues so far..Usually it could be normal, but if it's excessive ( bubbling ) , it could be due to trapped air...trapped air can reduce cooling efficiency..so if it's serious you would have already noticed over heating warning in the dashboard..but it's better to take it to an authorised service centre for a quick check
@@ReviewingIndian Thanks for the swift response bro. I will definitely get it checked. I will keep you posted if I find anything. Great content by the way, will follow your channel for more updates.
@@ReviewingIndian Hope so bro, I read a few people having the same issue in Team Bhp. Link: www.team-bhp.com/forum/official-new-car-reviews/224809-volkswagen-polo-1-0l-tsi-official-review-9.html
Bro it gives 12-14 in Blr city which is vv decent for a hatch. And you'll get used to the gearbox within a couple of drives, the best one after you get used to the vehicle❤️ polo anyday
Hi i am planning to buy polo tsi getting it for 8.9 on road in jaipur Rajasthan should i negotiate more this cost does not include extended warranty. Or should i wait for i20
Polo for 8.90 looks like good price, maybe you can push for a bit more discount... New i20 will be getting 1.0 TGDI on sportz variant and might be a bit more equipped, but dynamics wouldn't be nowhere near to that of Polo which is a better drivers car...
I am pushing for more discount but they don't have stock and there is only 1 dealership in jaipur . And they are saying that i have to book the car & it will be delivered during diwali . 8.9 they said is last for this month . That they can do
Both are equally good because basically both share same platform/engine/suspension etc.but...Polo is lighter so expect slightly better mileage and better performance.... But Vento has a better rear seat space/boot.. So its up to you 😁
4 people upto 5'9"-5-10" Will be comfortable... Above that it'll be tight... 😁... If rear seat space is your priority get Skoda Rapid Rider... Or Honda city base variant 😉
I paid around 8.9 after discounts and offers! Including one year extended warranty! But prices will be slightly different as it varies from state to state and also VW made some pricing changes after I've bought
@@ReviewingIndian I'm being charged around 9.1 for the same color as yours And without the extended warranty I'm getting VW standard accessories for free Is this a good deal?
Difficult to say!.easy thing will be to check against actual price... When I bought actual price was 9.4 on road.. So I got around 50k discount + extended warranty (cost 13k and I paid only 3k)
@@ReviewingIndian I've made massive recommendations and references and the least price was 9.1 I've been into the back office and checked the old prices(which actually is confidential 😅😅😝) and the least for which he has given after the price changes was around 9.25 As I'm going for finance Thought that a diff of 10k wouldn't make much of a difference
The detailed review is really nice. Some questions. How would you rate the carbon steel metallic color ? Mileage in city traffic and highway? Feedback on steering response and ride stability? Audio System? Will be really helpful as It will push me to purchase polo over the upcoming i20.
Color preference is mostly person dependant... Carbon steel is subtle/evil, not very common, gives different hues in different lighting /surroundings So if you like these points its your color! City 13-14, Highway 17-18...can stretch to 18-19 depending on driving style Steering is heavy and feedback is good, ride stability best in class! (slightly hard suspension but not bad) Audio system supplied by Harman! Do I need to say more? Upcoming i20 will be more comfortable, spacious, modern, loaded with features and you get may be turbo gdi engine also.. But if you want understated style, solid build quality, supreme driving dynamics and gem of an engine, get Polo 😁
All the best for your purchase! Try and get extended warranty which will help you after 4 years. Also check with multiple dealers so that you get best offer! Unless necessary, do not visit dealership and ask SA to bring documents and test drive car to your place. Dealer can do home delivery ( which i opted for) Keep sufficient distance and after home delivery immediately do full sanitization before driving
Will try it.. as it is difficult to do 600+ Kms in these covid conditions.. 😁 Moreover overall efficiency shown is usually pretty accurate compared to real time mileage numbers
Shocking to see that Polo doesn't have so many modern features like push button start, keyless entry, automatic headlights and folding mirrors, projector headlamps, LED DRLs, rear USB port, rear door bottle holders, wireless charging and most importantly reverse camera!! And this is in 2020, with BS6. Why is VW neglecting Indian market so much, seems like rocket science really
See that's the whole point... You don't buy polo if you are purely looking for features. Polo is bought buy a group of customers who are looking for performance, handling and excellent build quality...that said next gen polo will have most of the above mentioned features ( including digital cockpit)...🤞
@@ReviewingIndian You are right sir. Car enthusiasts will certainly not need these features as mainstays. But the global version of Polo which was updated 3 years back has the excellent engine plus these awesome features too. Hopefully next gen Polo in India is launched asap, if it ever will!! Now, Hyundai and Kia already have DCT turbo engines too in similar price
The problem is that MQB platform based polo is more than 4m long and will cost much more the current gen Polo... Lets wait and see what VW is going to do ☺️
@@ReviewingIndian Yes. Them adding a manual variant for the TSI engine is brilliant. I feel they had the perfect opportunity to update the BS6 Polo with atleast a reverse camera and LED headlights along with manual TSI for the existing platform itself. Definitely a missed opportunity
Hi..!! Have watched your vlog..really like it. I have also watched your detailed review video about the VW POLO 1.0 TSI. What I have not found in these reviews is the long ride experience in the rear seat. There is a lady in the rear seat in this video. Pls. convey my regard & respect to her. I am very much curious that what she had the experience after covering 500 kms and spending nearly 9.5 hrs. at the back seat during the journey. As POLO 1.0 TSI is certainly the best driver's car around but I am also having family so her experience regarding this long journey would certainly help me to take the right decision. Please let us know the rear seat experience of her during this long journey. Thanks in advance !!
She didn't face any issues during the drive... It could be a bother if you/family members are above 5-9"-5-10"( especially if a taller person is driving).. And also rear seat is more comfortable for 2 adults and a kid...rather than 3 adults... We travelled with my wife in the back + 7-8 bags on the other seat... So If you are planning for a 5 seater (tall) family car it wouldn't be suitable...
Maybe it's the driving style! I'd like to keep the engine revving 😈😈.. Also mine was overall mileage... Whatever 23-25 mentioned is instantaneous mileage which is shown only during a very efficient drive cycle... Like when you are in 6th gear doing 80 on a highway
For the price Polo will get you more kit... Alloys, steering mounted controls, superb leather wrapped steering, steering mounted audio controls, automatic wipers and cruise control... For the same price you can get Skoda rider plus which has climate control and touch screen infotainment. But it offers better legroom and boot... So its upto you about your priorities 😁... Polo is lighter so expect better performance also
I decided to buying Polo highline plus 👍😊 it's really you guided gave useful information to me now my confusing cleared!!! Bro my choice is polo highline plus 👍👍☺️ 😊
