Okay. Chloe was the deepest love of Clarks life. Lana was an infatuation, challenge and fantasy. Lois was just somebody who bugged him and eventually they grew close while the other 2 were out of the picture. The deepest love his character had with the most passion, intimacy, understanding and courage was his with Chloe. And you'd never have to worry about her stringing him along like Lana. Or pushing all his buttons just for her own thrill of the hunt like Lois. Lois sucks. Period...
Ah, and poor Pete ... at least Chloe got to kiss Clark. Then again, Pete didn't have to watch the person he liked chase the wrong girl for seven seasons the way Chloe did.
It's been a long time since I've seen this scene but holy shit it's just as stupid as I remember. This was horrible writing. I really don't think Chloe would really sabotage her own romantic relationship with Clark. Even her explanation made no sense. So out of character. I think her and Clark could of really had something because he showed obvious intrest in her. I don't think it would of been permanent because Lana was always lurking around in the background(ugh) but it would of been nice to actually see these 2 date for at least a season.
Clark is worse at picking up silent messages than a guy with Aspergers! Anybody with half a brain could tell that Chloe wanted him to fight for her. Which she should have known that he wasn't going to pick up on her silent messages.
@ButtCrackSally yeah seeing that pete was clark's best friend in the comics, you would've thought he deserved more screen time but they were too caught up in clark's powers and the love triangle between him, lana, and chloe to do that.....its odd because pete had the distinction of being the FIRST one besides mr. and mrs. kent to learn about his powers and kryptonian heritage....in most episodes, he was barely given a scene.....the most exposure he got was probably the season 7 guest spot...
@alice111100 the ironic thing is how chloe caused the whole breakup yet everyone is making it out to be "stupid clark's" fault...and i can see it from that viewpoint because he did seem kind of thrown back by it like he didn't mind continuing the fling to see where it went...but then again, if he ACTUALLY had some feelings for chloe, he would've jumped in like he did a gagillion times with lana and say "WTF??!! I love you bitch!"
He went off and saved Lana but he loves chole in a best friend I can understand that now but I have to Say I do like chole and Oliver together they are so different but they are great together Clark did not like it at first I mean Oliver and chole and he wished it was him with chole she loves Oliver not Clark anymore
I know it's 12 years late to reply but this theme ran through their relationship till the end. They kiss when the world's and then ah well it's nothing. He puts the world at risk to break her from Brainic for tht lil chance and still it's nothing, she runs away with a criminal to save his life. He say stuff like we're more than just friends, you mean a lot more to me, I'll never give up on you, and many many more tht only ppl with feelings would say. So does she. But none of tht gets acknowledged cs they're "friends". I think the writers took it to their advantage and kept tht theme going so they could wipe it off completely when they needed without having to answer anyone. througIn s9 and 10 they recycled a lot of scenes, a lot of dialogues between Chloe and Clark from s 4 - 8 with Lois and Clark and suddenly they were treated romantic, acknowledged romantic. Not telling your guy best friend that you got engaged cs you don't wanna hurt his feelings and him in fact truly getting sad over it isn't NOT romantic

PiazzaGurl OMG I know.... Not to mention when she fell for Lex,even tho Clark told her he was bad news-.- I felt like Lana should have left the show after season 3
+Charity Rich she needed to. All her crying and whining drove me off the wall. To be with the Man of Steel you've gotta be able to handle his life, that's why Lois won his heart. She was always willing to jump into battle with him.
This might have something to do with me being a guy, but why does Chloe breaks up with Clark if she wants to be with him...? Oh, and Clark x Chloe forever. cyber151 put it nicely.
