According to the Pew Research Center, the number of unauthorized immigrants in the United States has actually decreased since 2007 and has remained stable since 2017. In 2021 (the most recent available data), total immigrants in US was 45.3 million. Unauthorized immigrants numbered 10.5 million (just 23%). The vast majority of immigrants 34.8 million (77%) are authorized.

No president, as long as immigration has been a problem, has been able to find the solution.
