Congrats again on 100 lbs down! That's amazing! I hear you about the comforter. I definitely add extra blankets to my bed in the winter, much to my husband's chagrin. Haha. Also, I remember hearing a lot of people mention the arm pit thing and that just hasn't happened to me, at all. I'm a little disappointed haha. Also, I'm the same way with drinking while I'm running. I have to stop completely and I feel like since my heart is pounding, the water just doesn't go down. But then after my workout I'm somehow able to chug, and never else can I chug. I think that's kind of strange. And finally, thank you so much for your support, always, and such kind words. It really means the world to know that people out there care about what I'm doing with my life. :D

Haha, that's funny about the armpit thing not happening to you! That's actually why I've tried not to set my sights on specific body-related NSVs, because everyone's bodies carry the weight so differently, and I didn't want to be disappointed if I ended up not experiencing it, if that makes sense? I'm glad I'm not alone with the running & water thing, but it's SUCH a pain in the butt. Wishing you ALL the luck on Sunday!

Woohoo!!! 100 lbs down!! That is awesome!! Congratulations!! I actually really like shopping for new clothes, but generally go for the clearance/cheap stuff. I like the shopping part, but not the spending money part - lol! It is fun to actually find things that fit in the cheaper section now! But I feel you - I don't want to buy a ton of stuff when I am not done shrinking. I love that Foodie turned Sleevie has worked so hard and is really doung it - she is for real doing that triathlon and that is amazing 😃 Your dad is an avid runner too?! We have more in common than I thought! I am still thinking we should long-distance train for a marathon together! Seems like an impossible feat at this point, but if we can slow and steady work to get there, who knows?! Always love seeing you!

Thank you so much, lovely! Yeah, my dad is definitely a runner! Which was...interesting, growing up fat. But yes, I would SO be down to long-distance train together! That's definitely one of my ultimate goals, and it would great to have a buddy!

Congratulations on hitting 100 pounds since surgery!!! You are truly killing it! I can't allow myself to have French's onions either. I lack any control with them! lol

Those french fried onions are like crack! I can't buy them because I eat the whole container! I found after I hit goals, I have to be careful not to relax then. It's tempting to have a break, but I need to be diligent; especially during the week because I tend to eat more and differently in the weekend. My weight can go up as much as six pounds on the weekends from not enough water and too many carbs. If you have a Costco near you, they have beautiful, named brand inexpensive clothes. Also, Kohl's clearance racks are good if you have the patience to dig. Last summer I bought a $200 beautiful winter coat online at Kohl's for $28 with the sale and coupons. Good luck. My weight management team has clothing swaps each season. Ask them about this. So many things to give away! I brought a big bag last time and still grabbed a Lands End lavender sweater! Buy an electric blanket or throw. In winter, I use a heating pad on my back and an electric blanket on top of my covers. I call it a Katie sandwich. Yes, I have the underarm caves too. So odd. I started my journey around the same weight as you. My surgery weight was the same as yours. At 218, I had to work really hard last fall to get to Onederland. I did well October to December. It was good because that's the toughest time of year with food and holidays. I went to the gym pool an extra day each week in the winter (3 days week). It helped. If I can't swim on weekends, I go shopping and walk around the stores to keep moving. Cleaning and trying on clothes and purging clothes l found helpful. It would have been a chore if I hadn't thought of it as constant movement (calories out) and a time when I was too busy to eat for a few hours. Stay strong. You're doing great. 💟🌞☺️

Yup, those French fried onions are DANGEROUS! Ugh, I have to purge my clothes this weekend and I'm not looking forward to it, but I know it'll be a good thing.

So happy for you and your 100 lb. loss!!!! That is my ultimate goal and truly inspiring that you accomplished in 8.5 months! Love how you're rewarding yourself with a Facial. That is going to feel so pampering and good. Sorry about your clothes drama. That's tough especially since you know you won't be at that size for too long. Maybe do some online shopping at ThredUP? I just sent some clothes that way and am still waiting to hear how much I'll make. I did order from there a few years ago and the clothes still had tags on and were super cheap and in perfect shape. I hear ya on being cold. I'm not looking forward to it as my toesies and fingers get super cold. Your winter comforter should help and then maybe get a super cozy microfiber extra one you can just cuddle with? My BFF swears by her heated blanket. Maybe I'll try that this year. I'll go check out Foodie Turned Sleevie. Love how you got emotional and love how your dad competes in triathlons. My dad too was a runner. Have a lovely week girly!

Thank you so much, lovely! I've heard a lot of positive things about heated blankets, so I think I may need to invest in one of those this year...And I'll need to check out ThreadUp, as I've also heard good things about that site as well!

Congratulations on meeting your next goal! 😊♥️ I used to be the same way, always way too hot, and now I’m freezing when everyone else is hot. Hot drinks make a big difference for me when I’m cold, and I like jackets/vests/pullovers over t shirts so that I can be warm when it’s cold, and take off layers when it’s hot. I also like warm scarves and mittens, I would definitely get those as soon as you can! I also love long socks now, which I could never wear before because I used to have really big calves. I agree about shaving your armpits! My skin has migrated down too in that area, like it seems like I have hair further down if that makes sense. Shaving everywhere else has gotten a lot easier though 👍 Your eyes & eyebrows are looking super lovely in this video btw! I feel you about the exercise thing and long term. I think just living a more active lifestyle in general, than in the past/ before surgery, whatever that may be, is the key to success/ better health long term, especially if you can find things that you enjoy and are sustainable, and you mix it up every so often to keep your body guessing ha ha.

Yes, gloves are totally on my "To Buy" list! And I actually have a few pairs of long songs that I've never been able to wear that I keep meaning to try on and see where I'm at with them now...I've also noticed by armpit skin has migrated down a bit, so I def know what you mean! And thanks! I wasn't wearing any eye/eyebrow makeup in this video, so I'm happy they were looking nice. :D

Congrats on hitting your next milestone. You really are doing a fantastic job! I really do hate shaving under my arms now. I never gave it a second thought before but you are right, now it is a pit and the more you lose, the more extra skin in there. It is pretty annoying.

Being under your calories might be why you went up. Eating less does not always result in weight loss, your body needs calories to lose weight. But wow! 100 lbs from surgery is awesome. I feel the clothes pain. I live in Mississppi and it is so hard to plan for clothes. It's in the 90s here. Crazy! I don't want to buy clothes that I know I can't wear next year or even all winter. Not even sure what size I am anymore. You may, like me, have to bite the bullet.

This might sound bad to you but my bff is obsessed with goodwill. You can get nice clothes for super cheap. And where I live they have half off Saturday’s every other week. So you can get clothes for like 1-10 bucks depending. Just an idea. I know that’s where I will be shopping once I’m sleeved.
@GraceGetsGastric
@GraceGetsGastric 6 лет назад
That's definitely something to look into. I often get a bit of anxiety when I go to stores that are a little disorganized/chaotic, which is why I usually avoid places like Ross/Goodwill/TJ Maxx, but it might be worth it if I can get some new clothes for cheap!

Sports bra... I was in Target yesterday and they have on clearance many very nice ones and sets. I'm sure if the Target here in Fl. is yours is too so you might want to check it out.

Goodwill has been my friend & Maurices if you need nicer low cost clothes. I can find nice jeans from Maurices for $10 each that fit great & i i find ones i like, i will buy the next size down. Plus nice work pants too I can always find. I am 5 months post op, had VSG on 4/16/18- i am down 96.2# since HW & 76.2# since surgery--- i cannot wait to hit 100# anyway lol i effed up my leg muscles and got Rhabdomyolysis and ended up in the hospital. My dr just gave me the ok to work out slightly after 4 weeks off--- i am 26# away from hitting 199 and i am ready for it!! Maurices has bogo alot of the time + coupons + if you use the CC you get an extra 10% off which is nice plus free shipping!
