@@GOAUTOWORKSRU-vid awesome but what size of the bit did you use (ie 7/8, 1/2, 3/8, etc)? I plan on taking your advice here and applying the same technique you used on my LS engine. Thanks!
efcivic4life they are called “soft jaws”. They are used to go into a vice to hold the AN fittings while you tighten them together. The aluminum jaws keep the fittings from being scratched
I am currently doing something similar, just wondering if I should cap/block the original vent? Previously I had a small air filter adapted onto it, in an attempt to lessen the amount oil going into the intake, but finally getting around to doing a full PCV delete Breather style oil catch can system. But yeah, just not sure what to do with the original valve cover vent hole
Thanks for the reply man! Do you know if there is such a thing as too much ventilation? The breather catch can I bought seems to have very good flow, but visually I quite like my little filter on the original vent, just not sure if too much ventilation can cause issues?
Way more oil, will exit through this fitting in that location... Best to bore hole within the factory baffle.... if its a straight car then it doesn't matter.
I'll add the part # in the next Civic Vid as the car is here for another round of upgrades (and the vent/cover/catch can setup on this car works great)
Damn makes sense thank god I read the comments before I did it. Without thinking it looks clean and you have your vent but your key point makes it pointless to do this unless vent is in baffle
