The video, despite being short, was still able to obtain its aim - speaking for myself - which is to entertain and intrigue. The best part is the caveat at the end which is actually what the younger generations sorely needs: to not just believe what is told to them but to conduct deeper study and research on matters they are told about. To understand that reading materials opposing the things taught to them or indoctrinated to them is also important to better understand if what they were told were true like what Rene Descartes did. The video is a perfect representation of an Italian proverb which states that "The translator is always a traitor."

In a world of vampires where it is a safe bet that all kindred lie, twist, embellish and manipulate using all kinds of mind and reality altering abilities...question everything. On this exact note, far too many kindred are portrayed as believing the myth of Caine as standard basic fact. Behind the scenes, I always like to let the setting to be much more gritty in that the further back you go, the harder it is to know what was 'real' and what is the chosen reality or rashomon or Mandela effect of some other kindred or group that they want the masses to subscribe to and accept as truth. The Caine mythology may be the leading religious ideology, but that does not mean it is correct.

One could tie that with the idea mentioned of "Odin" actually being the Son of Odin not Odin himself. Certain actions were Caine/Odin, while other was the Gangrel vampire who used the name, possibly acting on Caine-Odin's orders/on his behalf, possibly just using the name for clout.

The Gangrel (specifically the Norse) know Cain as Canarl, Odin being a descendant through Gangrel

Disciplines can be literally taken as magic, communication with animals, shapeshifting and we don't know his discipline spread he might have Blood Sorcery, Baba Yaga is the 2nd best at Thaumaturgy only being surpassed by Tremere its creator while Baba Yaga is a Nosferatu.

@@TheCourtsOfLove fair enough but my annoyance was less that he doesn’t have the Blood Magic discipline and more that he’s a vampire at all. Magic was one of his primary divine domains in norse mythology, heck he is one of the big mythical inspirations for Gandalf, Merlin, and Hermes, the dude who the Order of Hermes is named after. Feels like a bit of a missed opportunity to make him a vampire.

@@364dragonrider I don't know for me making Odin a Vampire was perfect because if he was a Mage...it wouldn't fit, mostly because how Mages tend to work if he was an Archmage or an Oracle it loses the history of the actual NPC, Odin being a Werewolf Hunter who takes every few centuries after dominating Scandinavia before Christianity usurped him forcing him to work behind the Shadows with the Aesir and Valkyries building their network across the world via the blood. Vampires offer the blood-descended connection that a Mage wouldn't, the only Mage I could see Odin being was Tremere but they're Vampires as-well as of now.

@@364dragonrider Archmages and Oracles are fitting for Odin as a Methuselah unless you nerfed him beyond all hell and that wouldn't be right, the reason why it wouldn't work is the established Lore of Mages, with a Vampire you can fit in the idea of a Methuselah of Gangrel in particular with Gangrel descending from Norse Vikings and breeding different bloodlines...than a mage, for One Odin is a warrior as much as he is about magic, Vampires are magic too a mage is a mortal, Having Odin be a Mortal who just had the powers of a mage feels extremly lazy compared to him being this Methuselah of Clan Gangrel who ruled the domain of Scandinavia and build his pantheon entirely off his own childer with them making up Aesir posing as Gods themselves with Odin, the All-High at the top directing his childer to protect their homeland and to eliminate his enemies while Hunting the Lupines specifically the Get of Fenris as his swore rivals, having the Valkyries be his childer and have the whole Norse Pantheon be interpreted as a Vampiric Cult is way better written than just having him as a mortal mage> It's why Mithras, Set, Baba Yaga, Sybil are all interesting as their taken from the perspective of a Vampire methuselah with modern vampires of differing clan descended from them giving them internal traits derived from the antediluvians.
