The Salamanders are by far some of the most experienced experts of weapon crafts. They forge both their armor and arms, but their Primarch Vulcan was a weapon smith with near no equal among even his own brothers. The Relics that their Primarch spread across the Galaxy are some of the most powerful and dangerous pieces of technology that even in the Imperium would consider to powerful.

The only ONLY time I have heard our scribe rise his voice due to frustration.

In the Imperium of Man's darkest hour a fortress of unbelievable strength and size controlled by the forces of Chaos travels toward Terra. Along its path a space hulk emerges. It floats dead towards the Chaos fleet. As the 2 draw together the space hulk transforms. Huge parts of it swing and turn. The form of a giant Ork stands in space now before the Chaos Fortress holding the largest most powerful DAKA ever created. It fires, and in an instant the shields of the fortress are striped away. Massive figures emerge from teleport in the heart of Chaos's fortress, and The Beast of Armageddon, Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka bellows "CUNNINGLY BRUTAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" His Boyz respond "BRUTALLY CUNNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!", and surge forward. He then gives a little chuckle, and leans over to The Primarch Vulkan, "SEE I TOLD YOU IT WOULD WORK IF YOU PITCHED IN!" That's right Vulkan helps The Beast make the Macross so that he can do what he does best in the pirate attack to end all pirate attacks. At least that is my head canon.

The primarch teasing doesn't help that they also hinted at agron and the return to Armageddon. Here's hoping for a model for grumpy old commissar Yarrik and the red angel (honestly really hoping for a world eaters codex but don't got my hopes up too high)

The Forgfather is one of my favorite characters, the first novels I read after studying the setting for a looong time were the Tomes of Fire. He'stan is just pure badass, the little speech he gives to veteran sergeant Tsu'gan is to this day still bookmarked for me. I don't play the table top, yet I have a plan of comissioning a certain pro painter for an Alpharius model converted into the Forgfather. I also believe that the Unbound Flame is the gene seed Hazon Dak'ir consumed during the Tomes of Fire, essentialy he himself becoming one of the missing artifacts (he is MIA ). The reason for him being MIA with a discontinued story could be that at that point of the story he just simply became waaaay too powerful (I mean, like Mephiston powerful), and BL simply didn't want that.
