The track W a b i S a b i ( A Winter's End ) was written over the past few months. It was one of those tracks which took many twists and turns, just to get things to fit well.
W a b i S a b i is a Japanese term, which relates the view or thought of finding beauty in every aspect of imperfection in nature. It is about the aesthetic of things in existence, that are “imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete”, all of which is built into the nature of existence.
There seems to be a deeply significant reason for it, although we cannot grasp what it is. It like a higher knowledge that is aware of us trying to decipher its magic.
The footage in the video is from my walks in the beautiful Phoenix Park, Dublin, Ireland. It has a wonderful variety of trees and grassland which is fascinatingly unique in every different season of a year. It was shot during late winter season, during a particularly rainy week.
So all in all, with all its imperfections and W a b i S a b i 'ness, this is it!
