Wait. Isn't that abuse? 

So, what’s the point here? The point isn’t to invite abuse. The point is that you don’t add evil to evil. If someone slaps you and you slap them back, all you’ve done is double the sins. Instead, do good for them. And in the case of abuse, that means getting away so they wake up to the sin they’re doing. It may mean protecting those who cannot protect themselves. Jesus is not encouraging abuse. He’s discouraging evil.
