Nope, never had any water come in there. I have since re-wired those and ran the wires just to look more tidy. I now have them come out of the left tail light and up to the roof there.

@chappelle121
@chappelle121 2 года назад
Hi mate, thanks ! I don't have plans unfortunately, that one was all just off the cuff figuring it as I go. Basically just got a bit of wood for the divider and cut it in a shape that would work combined with the angle off the cargo barrier, couple hinges and carpet and its done! the shelf was the same deal, just got some wood and carpet and cut to fit in the space

Hi mate, yes - 1 hole is drilled and just a nut on the back of the plastic, and then got 1 longer bolt of the same thread to go into the original threaded car body mounting hole.

Hi Mate, the titan draws you can actually buy vehicle specific, mine is a set specifically for the Prado 120 series - then it has everything you need to fit and the wings suit properly.

Mate… that’s a setup to be very proud of ! 👌🏻 Maybe a dumb question but have you done something to make your kings air compressor stop when it pressures up ? I have one but I don’t think it stops like that at a high pressure. Maybe it does 🤷‍♂️
@chappelle121
@chappelle121 2 месяца назад
If its a kings thumper max dual compressor, it should have an inbuilt pressure switch, you don't have to do anything it just cuts out when it reaches a certain pressure, which if your trigger is closed and it's not leaking anywhere it should reach that pressure very quickly and just cut out until you open the trigger or whatever again which will turn it back on.

Hey mate neat build! Just wondering how you go with water crossing given the pump and inverter is in the engine bay. Also do you have diff breathers?
@chappelle121
@chappelle121 3 года назад
Hi mate, have since moved the air compressor inside of the car in my drawer setup instead - in saying that I did a few small water crossings and it was not a problem for me - must of kept up enough momentum to keep water flooding the engine bay too much. Only stock breathers which actually run pretty high up already - one of those jobs on the to do list though!
@roocrew86
@roocrew86 5 лет назад
Awesome build man, how did you make that air comp switch off when you don't pull the filler trigger? I've got a similar compressor and its fast but isn't smart I have to manually turn off to check gauge pressure
@chappelle121
@chappelle121 5 лет назад
This particular air compressor has a pressure switch built in. You can modify another compressor by adding a pressure switch fairly cheaply if you are bit of a handyman and not scared of a bit of wiring. Should be able to find some info online about adding a pressure switch im sure.

Hey man, that's a sweet looking rig! Quick question, hopefully getting one of these myself in the coming weeks (120, LC3) and I really like the look of your ARB bar. However it seems to be a grey area as to whether they are legal or not. Have you had any issues with the legality of your bar?
@chappelle121
@chappelle121 3 года назад
Depends where you are, here in Perth Western Australia there are definitely no issues, a very common early mod for most 4x4 owners here. Most 4x4's here have bull bars here. You will need to check with your local authority on local laws and regulations.

Hey bro, first of all have to say great job bro.... tidy, clean, functional, just great mods.... secondly how you 2nd battery setup goes? I've been told AGM does not like the heat from the bonnet nevertheless I was thinking how it does performed if someone install it there.... how is your experience with that battery... thanks mate for sharing.... Nice job!....
@chappelle121
@chappelle121 5 лет назад
Yeah you see that a fair bit, AGM's ideally should not be in the engine bay, however for me I didn't have another good place to put it, but it is working just fine... I run my lights, fridge, charging phones etc... while camping and in the morning the voltage is still like 12.6V so plenty of juice by morning. the DC DC charger I use gives it a nice full charge and its temperature compensated - it has a temperature probe to help it charge efficiently so if its hot it wont pump so much current into it I guess. (its a Projecta Inteli-carge) On the Prado the battery is right behind the headlight too so I don't think it gets that hot, there's probably some decent airflow there.
@BambiCorroIII

Hey like your set up. Wanting to put a shelf and divider like yours in my Toyota prado 2018 150. Just wondering what thickness wood did you use? Also how exactly did you attached it to handles. I can see the O bolts on the actual shelf but could t quite see how it attaches to the handle up top
@chappelle121
@chappelle121 5 месяцев назад
It was so long ago i don't remember to be honest, wood i would guess around 18mm. Attached to the handles by getting some threaded eye bolts that goes into the same thread as the handles. then another eye bolt on the shelf, and then a turnbuckle that goes between those eye bolts. and back the back just bolted to the cargo barrier.
