Wondering how to get started walleye fishing? In todays Lake Life Adventure I'll take you out on the water and help get you started catching Walleye.
I'll cover how to setup your gear, how to install fishing line onto a new reel, how to jig for walleye, and even how to cook Walleye.
I'll even share a really tasty recipe for pan fried Walleye that everyone will love, and we'll cook it up right here on my outdoor grill.
As always my Lake Life Adventure Series takes place at my cottage on the shores of beautiful Lake of the Woods, in the heart of Canada's cottage country.
Hope you enjoy!

I was thinking the same thing! Especially when they're that size 👌🏼 he found a honey hole. I'll eat pike, perch, crappy, walleye, and panfish all day long. Find you a honey hole and enjoy! I'm one of those odd ducks that thoroughly enjoy pike though, if you know how to fillet them they're some of the best eating you can get! Firm, flakey, vaguely reminds me of shark cus it's almost meaty in a way.

Live in Michigan. Don't have a boat so I cast for the eyes off our local rock pier. Jig with a mean eye blade bait or jigging rap in the Fall. Cast Papala Count downs in the Spring and I do pretty damn swell every year. No special technique and I'm still using an $8 rod I bought at Walmart 10 years ago. It's not all the fancy gear that catches fish, it's being there at the right time!

Awesome video!! Gotta day, the Salt and vinegar Chip dredge was a pure mad-lad epic move! And thank you for teaching proper Walleye technique. Walleye and perch are bottom feeding jigging type fish... curly tale grubs and minnow swim-baits should work, right? pike will actively chase baits like spoons/jerk/crank baits and whopper ploppers. Depends who you ask, I only use leaders when going for the big stuff like Northern Pike and Muskie when there's a risk of teeth breaking your line and keep a more natural presentation for bass and walleye but it really comes down to personal preference.
