Walmart Spark finally deactivated me but not for any of the reasons that people thought it would be for. Somehow I failed a selfie check and my account was deactivated immediately following that verification check.
Walmart Spark won't give information about the deactivation and the appeals process takes forever to get an answer. There isn't a way to talk to anyone on the phone or by email. The only way to make an appeal is to fill out a form.

The same thing happened to me earlier today. Prior to being deactivated, every two days the app would ask for a picture of the front and back of my driver's license, but not the selfie. I only did the selfie my very first time Sparking, and after that it only asked for photos of my license. The app normally says 'can't verify photos' after I take photos of my license multiple times, then a few minutes later I get a message on the app saying 'your photos have been approved'. I have told customer support about this multiple times and I know it's an issue on their end. My driver's license is 100% up to date and doesn't expire until 2031, my insurance is up to date, and I don't have any felonies or anything on my record. Today I was able to do one delivery, and went back to Walmart to wait to do another after I finished the first one and that's when I get the 'your account has been deactivated' message. I was completely livid. It's my only source of income and now I am honestly well and truly fucked. I put in an appeal explaining what happened so hopefully something comes out of that.

same exact thing happened to me 6 weeks ago. First of all you have to ask to speak to a tier 2 manager. Who are in the USA not India. As far as the Appeal form you will never hear back from them. Nobody does. Let me Know how you do. I signed your petition! I spoke with an attorney Spark Can be sued for a Federal Civil Rights violation if you are willing or have enough people to take it that far.

I think that we all should get together and go against them because this is totally wrong accusing people for doing nothing and taking the rights away to work. Something needs to be done about this it’s called discrimination.

@@Yphrumyou should just steal from Walmart as long as you keep the one time total under $50 and your yearly total under $500 (at least in my state) they have a no prosecution policy. Statute of limitations for misdemeanors petty theft in most states is 6 months to 1 year so once it’s been over a year you can then hit all the stores again in the same order you did before. Just don’t park in the main lot where cameras can see your plate and wear a mask and different outfits every time they will never catch you

I’m a 69 year old disabled Veteran. Have been doing Spark since September 2023. Last week while Vacationing in Puerto Rico with my wife I checked the App. It asked for a facial Recognition. Did that and my account was deactivated. They denied my appeal.

Happened to me while on vacation in Mexico City Mexico. First, they said app manipulating because my ip address was out of Mexico (well yea I was on vacation). Next, during arbitration telephonic dispute resolution conference, they said sharing account. How the hell is that possible if my account shows no deliveries made and everything was from my Samsung phone. Ive now sent a formal letter to walmart lawyers with my flight itinerary and account. It's real shifty on Walmart. Got the whole story on my channel. If I get any updates, I'll post it here and my channel.

Mark you can call support and ask for security personnel. And they will help you get back on. As for me they turned me off . They said I offended someone. I'm still fighting mine

Good luck to you! I’m not being negative but Spark does Not care about Delivery Drivers. My issue was a legitimate safety violation and no matter what the customer is always right no matter what. It is pure Greed!

I have been deactivated since Sept. of 2024. I as well didnt pass the verification id process. It had just started in my area when this happened. I have not heard back about my appeal still. I have tried calling them again on several occasions and now they tell me they cant find me in their system but I cant start a new account

Believe it or not, they will not return any emails or calls. I was fired last February 2023 without any info at all. But today almost a year later, my app just started back up and I did the ID check and it is allowing me to Spark. Ow. I called customer service and they don’t have my Number or Account info at all. It’s totally weird. I’m calling an attorney tomorrow for back pay

How many orders have you completed if you dont mind me asking im petrified of deactivation i got deactivated on uber bc somebody said i had someone with me when i did not but they wont reactivate me either and seems that gig workers dont get reactivated ever and they never provide reason smh

Hi I was approved in January and was setting up my profile and got deactivated for no reason I have not even got to make my first trip so there was no reason for the deactivation I have sent in many forms and all I get is the same response that it will remain deactivated!! Hi, out of nowhere I got deactivated last Friday. I have not worked since January 28 but I continued to receive notifications of incentives and also I uploaded a photo of my insurance that is about to expire in March and I got a notification that they received it, but then last Friday I get THE text. I’m sure it is the generic text that everybody has been getting. I have also filled out the appeal form and I’m just going to wait. I certainly do not understand why I got deactivated. I have not done anything wrong or done anything that is mentioned in that text. I do appreciate your video; hopefully this will get resolved. I should mention that one of the people that I talked to at the SPARK Walmart line said that it may be because of lack of use?

It's definitely not because of lack of use. I didn't use mine for 6 months last year and then could get back to doing deliveries with no problems. It's something with them deactivating drivers that have been delivering for a long time and also the verification system is flawed. I wish you the best. I'll keep seeing what I can do to get reactivated and then make a video on how to do that.

@JustinMaxwellbiz My fiancé was deactivated April 3rd for the same thing you was deactivated for with the drivers license issue she sent in 3 deactivation appeals and requested pre-arbitration phone conference and after 40 days she heard back from the arbitration department who only took her statement then told her she would her a decision in 5 business days and then on the 8th business day she was told her deactivation remains

Dude this just happened to me. The same exact thing. Right after I already lost my best friend of 10 years, went through a break-up, and was in a accident that left my car totaled when some lady hit me. Now too, I’ve also lost spark when I needed it more than ever and feel so defeated and lost beyond words. Any help would be much appreciated by anybody

I went on vacation to Costa Rica and the day before I returned I wanted to check out my stats for the 1 day I got to work. I did not know or read anywhere in the FAQs that opening the app in another country would be cause for deactivation

Honestly, is it really worth it to reactivate your account? I'm finding myself declining 99% of the orders in my market because they don't really make sense. The miles to pay ratio is just not worth moving my car. Luckily I have a good paying W2 that keeps me from being desperate but I dont believe these orders are sustainable or worth even logging in.

I was deactivated and given no reason or notification as to why …. I found out my account was deactivated when I was going to do spark and tried to turn it on …..and also called the number that you did …. I tried to do an appeal to spark many times ….. unfortunately it wouldn’t let me submit it for some reason! This is happening at the beginning of December ‘2023 ….. now I’m not going to be able to get my children Christmas gifts and won’t be able to pay the rent! As this was my only income! Something needs to change the drivers need to be cared for as well as the customers! #WalmartSparkTruth #StressedSingleMotherOfFive 😢

You would have to hire the arbitrator pursuant to your state laws. They will most likely reactivate you if you do this, BUT, they can find a reason later and you’re back at square one. Also an arbitrator charges 600-1000 per hour.

I work in a school system school have ended in May 24 of 2024. I decided to do the Spark. I was doing well with it. I have been driving about two weeks they sent me a text message saying they couldn’t see my insurance and I needed to upload another one. I don’t understand how if I’ve been driving two weeks so I upload another insurance card that’s deactivate my account same my account was deactivated, suspicious of false information. This been since 6/14/24 have not heard from anyone yet any telling you don’t send multiple appeals it was slow down the process

I'm assuming that when you started you didn't do the process of opting out of arbitration within 30 days. Do you think that they would be forced to be transparent if you had opted out of arbitration? Asking because when I joined, I opted out.

Hey brother. I was just deactivated today from Spark. I have no idea why. I have an idea why, I made a delivery late due to a flat tire. I didn’t tell Spark but I didn’t think it would be a problem. But again, they haven’t even sent me an email that I was deactivated. I just looked in the app and it says I’m deactivated. I’ve been doing it full-time for 1 year 3 months. Clearing $1,000/week. 4.7 rated driver. And now I’m stressed . . . Hopefully I get reactivated 🙏🏽

I had this happen also regarding not being able to verify due to the app not effectively processing my photo. How can they do this for something that isn't the fault of a driver. I am attempting to take a photo of myself to verify myself! This takes away my ability to make money for something that isn't justified. I had no idea that if one attempts more than three times the app automatically deactivates you...crazy for deactivation for trying to follow guidelines!

Contact support it's the verification it can take up to 2 weeks I got deactivated with no reason but only got a not delivered as a notification hours later it's common.

Mine has been deactivated for 1mo and it was because I canceled a ghost order that continued to come through to my account 28times in one day. I notified spark and Walmart staff. Told to cancel because it was an app error. I am PISSED AS HELL

This is the weirdest thing that can happen. Just dropped an order and have been asked for a facial scan which I did. Then I got the message “your account has been deactivated “ and there is nobody that can provide a clear reason why. This is not serious.

Don't lose hope?? I was deactivated 3 weeks ago for "failing to contact customers before initiating returns" ... Problem is, I never made any returns!!! Literally never made a return. Never mark the return. Nothing. Yet I was deactivated for making too many returns?? Help me make sense of it.. I filled that all the required forms, and I've sent out 12 emails. I've heard nothing. Think this happens when they have way to many people working in one area, because Everytime I go to Walmart there's a group of people just waiting on calls, I also was deactivated just the other days after updating my car insurance info, after 4 days of them rejecting the images I was sending of my insurance. had to call and get it fix. Then went to log on and was deactivated.

My account got deactivated when I delivered alcohol to a bar and the owner that made the order was not there. Since I could not scan the id, Spark closed out the order. The next day, I was deactivated. I emailed them and waited 3 months to get a text from Spark saying the decision to deactivate remains. At least I still have Door Dash.

They probably will never get back to you. I've waited 4 months with no answer. The best bet is to email them and say that you want to avoid arbitration and would like a resolution. I'll make a video in the next few days about how to do that

Well this happened to me two days ago I’ve been driving for Spark since February 2022 and with point pick up prior to that for Walmart. I moved from Georgia to Alabama. I suddenly started receiving alleged incident reports for no reason at all. Then they deactivated my account . After deactivation I received another alleged incident . This makes no sense and they will not give me any proof of me doing anything wrong

I work at School and School had ended and me and I decided to do the Spark and I have been doing it for like two weeks. I got a text message from them saying they can’t see my insurance which I didn’t understand because if y’all couldn’t see how the world I’m gonna be driving for two weeks so I upload another one and as soon as I did, that’s when they deactivate my account this been I haven’t heard from anyone yet still waiting since 6/14/24 They say don’t send multiple appeals it may slow down process but it’s very frustrated because no one is not contacting you and there’s no number to get in contact with them

Day after mines got deactivated because insurance thing is my insurance and license everything is current they order these reports every few weeks to do background checks on us drivers it’s called checkr and it tells them all your information about your license and insurance and reports of criminal offense everything on my report came back clear they do this to every app instacart DoorDash every gig app

I was Deactivated the same way you were on Dec 2, 2023. I have submitted the form and called multiple times. I have yet to hear from anyone. Im a stay at home mom and depended on this little extra income. The night I was deactivated I had just recieved my first incentive and 15 mins later deactivated. My metrics were great and I've had no complaints so I really don't understand this. This all came from my ID verification. Good luck I hope you get reactivated I am still fighting mine to. Yeah I was deactivated for "suspicion of false information" on my proof of insurance, which is BS. I even re-submitted a new pic with the exact same insurance info and it was reviewed and accepted. They still denied my appeal and now I have requested a conference phone call, which is the last step to be taken before arbitration. I have yet to receive a text regarding the conference call and I will follow up in a couple of days. This is the worst customer service ever and drivers are not protected. Take this warning seriously. They got me 4 days into the job

I was deactivated on 10/16/23 during the identity verification process as well. Called immediately, sent the required email to the email address the support person gave me as well as completed the appeals form. I have called several times since, included today. Keep getting the same response that all I can do is wait to hear from the appeals team but that there is no way for the support agents or drivers to contact the appeals dept directly. There has to be someway to talk to a person who can actually help.

I got the activated the same day I signed up, I went through all the training videos and the same day as was getting ready to go and do my first pick up tryout this new gig, I see that the account is deactivated, I’m on week 3, of waiting for response, no answer yet. They said not to sent to many reactivación requests, but I have not gotten a response for at least 1, so now I have submitted about 8 more times. I just got deactivated yesterday after only working for less than a month. According to them, someone was using my account which is bullcrap. I made an appeal and they still stand by their decision to keep my account deactivated. I'm fighting this all the way. Especially since I have an infant daughter. Also, my husband had a motorcycle accident which he suffered a traumatic brain injury, closed skull fractures, subdural hematoma among other injuries and can't work. This was our only source of income at the moment. I'm gonna do all I can so we won't be struggling again. I'm beyond upset.

But being that I just got into a wreck yesterday where it was a hit and run cause the other driver ran a red light. I don't think it matters now. I immediately got an e-mail back saying they will call me within 30-45 days after the request. It's only been about five days so far. Still nothing else. this happened to me 9/11/23 and now I can't access the account at ALL. I did speak to someone that sent me a code to be reactivated and it worked for 10 min and then a total blackout with NO RESPONSE. They have a new system to try to get reactivated, so call CS and have them walk you through the process of appealing your deactivation. Since this is so fresh it might get you back on quickly. Has anything on your picture ID and what you look like NOW changed. This is a reason a lot of people have been deactivated per the person I spoke too. I wish you the best of luck on getting reactivated. I have given up on getting back on the platform. ONCE it's final you will NEVER be able to sign up again because they keep your information in their system.
