Check out this video of these walnut charcuterie boards I made from a live edge black walnut slab that was harvested here (Ohio) locally! These were so much fun to make and I can't wait to make another batch!

really like your video, i have made some boards, but not with the live edge. I think your approach offers a much nicer finished product.

Beautiful boards. I like the way you came up with your own handle designs. I always raise the grain in a three 3 times. No matter what grit you sand a cutting/charcuterie board to, if you do not raise the grain it will feel rough after the first washing. Walnut by far makes the best live edge boards with the strong contrast front heart to sap wood. Keep up the good work and videos.

Thank you and thanks for the input! I did a little more research after this video and will definitely be raising the grain on any future builds. Can’t agree more with you on the contrast!

Excellent job. I would also pop that grain. I like to buff the wax after it has dried. Really gives the board a shine.

I love working with walnut, that smell (snnnnnifffffff mmmmmmmm🥰) Your boards turned out nice👍 I've been thinking about making some too but the market here is saturated with cutting boards, serving trays, and such. Keep up the good work my friend

Thanks Michael! Best advice I have would be to just dive in and go for it! Try to find dry slabs if you can, that help prevent them from warping!
