i do farmer's walk and deadlifts and that has made my forearms jacked. You don't need these exercises to build them, heavy lifting, grip strength testing exercises will do the job.

True, for my first couple months of training arms literally it was my forearms that were getting progressively overloaded. I think direct exercises are fine but it’s like training core on its own, it will grow fine indirectly. If someone I knew was training like a pussy then maybe I would recommend trying forearm exercises. Just my perspective

Forearms heal so fast they're addictive to train. With rippers and wrist curls especially, those are both very passive too. You can work up a burn 5 times a week with no issues.

Handstand push ups while using hands and fingers squeezing to stabilize like you feet and calves do gives you wonderful grip strength and larger forearms.

Wrist curls have definitely helped me with my deadlifts. I can hook grip 485 easily, once you start doing 20+ curls with 60s you will see what I mean.

Also... focus on keeping your arm straight because this will focus more on forearm muscles [both extensors (on top), and flexor (on bottom].. and I have a specific way of doing Zottman curls to help too... nice discussion!!!

Thesr are really good exercises, several years ago I met a judoka who did this, and the man didn't only have forearms like Popeye, but also had an amazing grip strength....he taught me some exercises (some are in this video) and I could say that I got decent forearms ....

Grab 2 weights attach a string to the middle of both, grab a weight with arms stretched forward and turn the weight u til the string wraps pulling up the lower weight. Covers pretty much everything

EZ Bar curls with a hold at the top is insane for forearm development. Try it out!

@@PlaywithDaisy Both work really well for overall forearm development. The one I meant is supinated, with a slightly wider grip than normal ez bar curls. I'd advise testing out what grip feels good for you (due to wrist flexibility).

@@mootj3I'm a bit confused by your comments. 'hold at the top' I would interpret as meaning an overhand grip (palms facing down) - which is pronation, not supination. Also presume you mean wrist curls, not arm curls - where the main forearm muscle worked would be the brachioradialis which crosses the elbow.

Lots of people say farmers walks and heavy deadlifts will make your forearms big, but I got my size from wrist curling 135 lbs and behind the back wrist curling 185. Wrist curls work folks, but you need the strength to do them heavy with good form

You don’t really need specific ulnar and radial movements since the extensor and flexors for these muscles still have the same function and proximal insertions for the most part as all the other extensors and flexors

You are aware that a lot of this comes down to genetics. Having our bones too close together can cause our wrists to be smaller compared to someone who has bones further apart from one another. Everyone is different but anyone can grow them and improve :)

The last 3 exercises have more effect if you remove the weight from one side of the dumbbell to get some resistance. Or just use a kettlebell 🤷‍♂️

If you want bigger forearms all it takes is lifting weights with a good amount of nutrition. If any beginner is watching this? Don’t do isolation workouts… focus on compound workouts as a top priority. This is something you start to do when let’s say? You got hurt like shoulder most common then yeah isolation is needed.

I started doing 100 pull ups a day in back when the pandemic begun.. without noticing it, my forearms got huge and i got insane grip strenght now. There's no need for these exercises if you practice various grips in your other workouts.

Have done none of these exercises and have developed big forearms from doing dumbbel and barbell exercises which require grip strength. Barbell curls will definitely strengthen your forearms

dumbells have equal weight on the side in the rotations so use sum kettle bell which will be better

Nice man. Too many lifters sleep on their grip strength and forearm development. Seems weird considering how linked it is to strength in any exercise requiring you to hold a weight.

These are good for isolating but not entirely necessary. Just grip the bar or whatever youre lifting as hard as you can while doing your workout and your

My work has these like 4 foot long metal bars we use to pull around material. They're rufly about 15 to 20 pounds and ill granb the end of it and do these exact workouts, for the others where i couldn't have room to do these i have no other choice than to place my hand in the middle.

Buy “fat grips”. Start doing hammer and regular curls. Start doing dead hangs and farmer carries. Start holding heavy weight. Then buy one if those weighted wrist roll things with the rope attached, strap weight on it, and do rolls both ways. Do a forearm workout everyday to get lots of volume, be careful of wrist fatigue tho, rest when needed. That’s how you get bigger forearms.

For reverse wrist curls I grab a 10 lbs iron plate. Put my two fingers through middle the other straight on plate which looks like Spider-Man. However the plate ends at wrist which gives a natural lever feeling and some of the weight is further away which makes it harder, then do high sets of slow controlled movements with paused contraction. Arm is slightly in front of your body like your reving a motorcycle. Try em very natural smooth feeling. If too light can always double plates, but forearms tend to grow mostly from time under tension and contractions

If you want bigger everything get your forearms beast mode its a must. Grip strength = better posture and more reps
