This video guides your through a Hip Mobility Routine. Follow Along as I guide you through these 3 hip mobility exercises. These are Bodyweight Exercises that will help you to develop both strength and flexibility through your hips.
These moves will help to get you to get strong, fit and mobile ... and all you will need is a little bit of space and a desire to move. Follow along!
0:35 --- 90 / 90 Hip Mobility

6:08 --- Diagonal Stretch

I do yoga but these compliment all my exercises to feel supple and especially being at a desk job Lisa’s teacup movements are excellent! Love her channel

Thank you for this routine! Of all the connected parts of this middle-aged body, I sense my hip area as the most frozen. Years of weight lifting, martial arts, and still heavily involved in kettlebell protocols, and alongside insufficient stretching, have left me with some chronic left hip pain and *dramatic* differences in right side and left side hip rotational ability. I say stretching while also recognizing that I have only relatively recently started to see significant differences between stretching and mobility. Thank you for your work!

@@LisaChavesBeachDancer Thank you for sharing this primal squat link! My primal squat is not all that great. I currently still have to hold onto something in front of me. I also play around with a lighter weight kettlebell in the goblet squat position. That helps me to remain upright. I have a much deteriorated right knee that, although I can go down into deep squat position and hold it, hurts a bit (also hurts if I try to go any longer into a seiza sitting position). But I'm working at it. The primal squat feels so very therapeutic.

@@robertw2953 great variations Robert. I always encourage we listen to our bodies first and respect where we are at in the present moment. To find modifications that feel therapeutic is a huge part of the process, as we develop our own unique movement practice, and connect with our bodies. 🙌👍😀

Yea brother I got some chronic pelvic tilt that created an uneven distribution of weight and weird knots and rotations in the musculoskeletal system. But if you keep working at it diligently, it will even out.

Thank you very much Lisa. I have been doing these very exercises for some time and I find multiple reps on the same leg really aggravates the Arthritis in the hips, leaving it sore and stiff the next day or so when walking outdoors?

I wish I could practice these exercises. I have had full hip replacements on both of my hips. So I can't or I probably would pop them out of their sockets. Although I may experiment with some modifications that would be safe. There are some very mild PT exercises that are recommended for hips....But I have always pushed the envelope when exercising and they leave me wanting more of a challenge. I do know my limits so any modifications I make to your exercises will be done with caution. Thanks and please keep posting your powerful video's.

Isn't it nice to see an instructor who doesn't mind getting down and dirty (sand-wise I mean)? So many RU-vidrs and Instagramers have makeup seemingly applied with a trowel and are perfectly coiffured.
