This is one of my favourite animations in youtube because it blends a lot, its really funny and good.

I only recently finished this game (I know, bit late) but the ending made me actually cry. This video just makes me happy and i relive that feeling of "YES I FINISHED THE GAME"

The year is 2011. You just finished your second playthrough of Portal and went to listen to the ending credits again. You happen across this video, a smile forming as you see the animation and recognize the efforts to make it. You go off to play some games on ArmorGames, smiling as you think about the video one last time. It's a simpler time.

This feels like the animations playing at the end credits of an early 2000s Disney movie. I’m nostalgic for this animation even though I didn’t get into portal until this year and it’s the first time I’ve ever seen this video.

Twelve years passed by, here i am again. Smiling like i used to. It's reliving hearing this vocals while watching this beautiful masterpiece of animation.

This reminded me of a stand up comic talking about how the writer of "to kill a mockingbird" only wrote one book and that if they were asked if they wanted to write another one they would respond with "did you see the first one? FUCKIN NAILED IT!" this is what I think this video is

I have first watched this video when I was 9 or 10 and with English not being my home language, this video really helped me understand the song a lot better. Every lyric was brought to life in a really charming and beautiful way and it moved me a lot back then. It’s really one of the cutest and most precious things I can remember from my childhood. I just wanted to say thank you for that. Thank you for the joy. Thank you for bringing me to tears... in a good way.

It's almost been 10 years to the day since I played this masterpiece of a game for the first time, and I've recently done a full playthrough of the game again. And here I am, coming back to this very nostalgic animation. You really did an amazing job, to the point where I don't think 13-year-old me could have appreciated all those years ago. I remember being in like 5th or 6th grade watching this and now I have a full time job with a nice little truck and am about to buy a motorcycle. I remember playing the heck out of Portal 2 with my friends and mainly my Dad. We beat co-op together and made lots of memories, and because of this I remember so much more. After beating everything Portal I got into an obsession with the franchise and this is one of the first things I found of it. Hope you're also doing well these days and hope you continue to do well. Love you random youtuber who made my childhood just that little bit better.

Holy crap I remember watching this so long ago

i used to play this game back on my old xbox 360 - but the disc scratched before i could finish the main campaign recently, the portal companion collection came out on the switch and i immediately bought it, remembering the good times i had with the game despite never finishing it it took me nearly a decade but i finished it for the first time on the switch a few days ago i was so overjoyed that i nearly cried of happiness as the credits theme played because my journey to finish portal 2 was complete - and now i just f33l empty inside its one of my favourite games of all time, not my favourite game but top 10 at least

What I've always loved about this song is the emotion it brings. It truly feels likes saying farewell to someone important you've known for your whole life, you can almost feel even though how unwilling GLaDOS is to let Chell go, she still has to do it for Chell's own good. Till this day I still don't know if the Chell Johnson theory (Chell being the daughter of Cave and Caroline) is correct but I would like to believe it's canon.

This song gets me well when I think about the lines, the line "they woke me up so I could live forever" is sad because she would be in the laboratory underground for eternity. And according to a line near the start of portal "so I had to relive you killing me over and over" even if she gets destroyed she will still be processing the sight of the last 2 minutes of her life. And then after wanting Chell dead for trying to kill her, now that she understood Chell after not having the itch to need to test she simply wanted to Chell to just leave

I actually think GLaDOS is the best well-written villain I have ever seen.

Coming back to this after years has me in literal tears, I remember finding this song probably when i was like six or seven? On my ipad and just singing along to it without even knowing where it was from or what this animation was about because I just loved how it sounded, I'm 17 now and now I'm literally crying and sobbing because I still know the words and it's so nostalgic, I finally watched the whole gameplay of portal 2 because I wanted to see how this song came to be and honestly it makes me cry even more knowing glaDOS hates you but at the same time can't understand why she misses you, from my understanding of the game, I'm still trying to understand it fully! But this song just brings back so many memories of me and my sister singing along to it on our bed and it just makes me tear up 🥲
