I do agree that Fujifilm needs to release some updated versions of the existing lenses, especially with the new high resolution sensors in some of the new bodies. However, the Viltrox 75 mm 1.2 pro is a phenomenal lens and Viltrox has told me that they have a 27 mm 1.2 pro lens that’s coming soon for the X mount.
Yeah 75 1.2 Viltrox is a beast as is the 13mm 1.4. 27 1.2 promises to be same but will be a chunker obviously so holding off. Viltrox lenses are equally as good performance-wise as Fuji. Can't speak for their resilience as haven't owned for long enough!
I’d love more fast super telephoto primes like a 300mm f2 or a fast super telephoto zoom like a 100-300 or 100-400 but constant f 2.8, but I would settle for f4. Those would be perfect for wildlife on the XH2 and would put Fuji on the pro map. A longer macro would be appreciated as well.
Rather than cameras and lenses perhaps fuji should focus more on improving their tech via software updates. For eg. Most cameras these days give video timelapse feature. Fuji doesnt. Even smal action cameras like gopro gives that feature. Secondly fuji should work on their "stabalisation" i have tried sony, canon and fuji cameras and fuji lacks far behind in stabalisation.
Agree with you .I for one was disappointed that having a Flagship camera the XH2s and the 150-600 mm fuji lens [which cost a nice packet ] was not even mentioned for AT LEAST----AT LEAST ...... some firmware update regards better tracking especially with cluttered background when the camera LOOSES the subject [birds in flight] completely [while other cameras around are still bashing their shutters ] the disappointment at that moment is heartbreaking to say the least.
Wow. Love your hike. Mine is a lot more flat. I completely agree. There are not enough lenses. Fujifilm have some amazing lenses, but (for my use case) Fujifilm are not competitive with supertelephoto lenses. I shouldn’t have to adapt a canon, Nikon, or Sony lens for a longer reach with brighter aperture. The 150-600 filled a huge gap for me, but it has limitations, namely the very limiting f8 aperture at 600mm (f11 if using the 1.4tc). I would love one good supertele prime or zoom that competes on price.
Another effect of the road map that could be viewed as an upside as well as a downside of having an official roadmap is that 3rd party manufacturers can use it either: 1- to release lenses that fuji doesn't intent to make in the "near future" of their roadmap. Wich is an upside on the short-term for fuji by making the whole system more appealling but a downside long term if they intend to make those later on. 2- to release competitng lenses before or at around the same time as fuji. And that is a clear downside for Fuji.... Maybe one of the reasons they did not release the road map this time.
Nikon's newly announced 24mm 1.7 lens for their DX sensors is even smaller and more compact than the fujicrons while being faster. That probably has something to do with the larger Nikon Z mount I guess. But still.
Which lenses do you miss in the lineup? Still I'm not hearing examples of lenses. Fuji has a trinity of f2.8 and has a lot of primes of different focal length.
@@FujiRumorsOfficial Ok, i saw it. A list of focal lenght already covered by current lenses and also some combination of focal / Aperture that are exotic and niches. People need to be aware that the manufacture need to sell a quantity of a lens to recuperate investment.
I don‘t say they will fail. But hey, everybody hears what he wants to hear. All I said that with publishing a new roadmap they can only gain and have basically nothing to lose
