If LucasArts' Monkey Island has taught me anything , its that ALL chickens are heretical servants of the chaos God "El Pollo diablo" and are not to be trusted. They make for good eating when cleansed with fire though so perhaps a standard issue Mars Pattern flamer is more in order

Sora Dawson astartes helmets incorporate targeting systems. Range finders, trajectory, infra red, etc. I think of it like a HUD in a jet fighter cockpit. Like when they had old armor where they couldn't turn their head, I imagine they like turn their head inside and were able to see behind them.

Lasguns also lack a recoil, or have a negligible one. And since they are used in mass volleys usually, accurate fire is not always required. In case of meltas, you don't really need to aim them as they are very short range and the target (tanks, walkers) are unmissable.

a stock does help accuracy compared to a pistol without a stock with airguns in my experience at least.

It's probably an artistic decision on how to depict the weapons rather than a tactical one.

In lore, mostly the above stated reasons. While it could help with accuracy, it was most likely decided that the increase in accuracy was not worth the material... Despite the fact that it would be a relatively negligible amount of material... But oh well....... Out of lore, I feel it was because designing the weapon with a stock would make the model production slightly more complicated. Making the guns too large would make putting the models together harder for the player/give the player less options for poses and would force gw to be slightly more precise with the mold.

@@A_B_1917 Not Serving it Warm. _Brewing_ requires heat, and if I were to hazard a Guess? The enviroment was cold, so it needed to be warm to prevent congealment within the Container. I am pretty sure the Emperor Of Man would find Congealed Alcohol to be an even Bigger Insult to his name.

A flamer shoots a combustible fuel compound similar to napalm. A melta gun is more or less a much more powerful short range laser.

And in gameplay terms Melta is basically your best anti-armor weapon, and you will want to take one to deal with things like Tanks or Larger Tyranids.
