Warm Audio WA-47F | Test & Review | 

Thanks for the kind words! No contract but I hope to put out some original music next year. It's just very hard to find your "voice" in terms of genre etc. I don't want to sound pretentious but I do like to do something that is my own not copying something that has been done, Still within the commercial space/sound though since I always been a fan of catchy choruses and strong melodies. Well I had to adjust my singing angle otherwise it was a bit on the bright side on my voice too. You can always try to sing like an inch under the capsule center and back off a bit. I never record super close to the mic, that can help. Good luck

I thought both the 8000 and 251 soundwise was quite nice. The build quality not so great heh! I'm always up for mic tests haha! Cheers 😁✌️

@@Christian_svedin yea the 251 did sound best of the Warms but it looked soooo cheap! Not tried the 800. What I've seen from Warm is very suss quality and inconsistent sound. I'm probably going to try the United 47 and additionally try to get my hands on a GAP 47 at some point, very enamoured with the GA47. It's a mic I didn't think I needed but I regret that and wish I had a big gooey sounding tube mic for when my 49's and 269 are not the best choice.

@@gmichaelhall yeah, it's just it would be a tiny cost increase on their part which they could just put on the price for their equipment to look and feel a bit better. The Wa47f was definitely a move towards the right direction. Hopefully I'll be able to try out their new C12 as well. It's nice with options especially if you take on clients. If it's for yourself you can be a bit more precise with your selection:)

@@Christian_svedin totally. As it stands, I would be mortified to put a client in front of any Warm mic. They're embarrassing looking, if it were just for us, maybe I would care less but even for my wife, I want her to feel enchanted and confident in a mic I put in front of her. We have decent mics so I can't trick her, she knows what a quality mic sounds and looks like, and I think subconsciously, many others do too. I won't risk it, we are only ever as good as the most recent thing we do and lining up an artist in front of a dodgy looking happy meal mic could echo for a long time in the small world I have to try and make a living from.

* I really appreciate this video. It helped tip me over the line and just bought the United FET47. I'll keep an eye on Warm but I don't think they are making products for folks like you or me, we are harder to convince that any compromise in sound being offset by a price point is alluring. It's just not, to me it's a red flag. ✌️🎶🎶 Be well dude, great work on these videos and performances

@@Christian_svedin I'm not seeing it mate but good on you for claiming the music use! It's too much work to go it alone in the costings man, I'm sure many will give what they can to make sure more content continues. Eating overhead costs is a fast track to burn out ime
