Good evening Dr. Ed. I am trying to find out how to help my 88 year old dad apply for an electric scooter with Medicare. How much does Medicare cover and how do I begin the application process. Thanks for all the valuable information you provide!

Thank you Dr. Ed! You're a great guy doing very appreciated work! Thank you sir! A quick question with a little background- Waiting for initial processing of SSDI application for 14 months.. WI sucks.. Anyways, I worked 40 years, am 55yrs old, Bilateral knee replacements and severe pinched nerves in 3 places with associated MRI's and EMG's and X Rays. I assume getting SSDI wont be difficult, as my lawyer believes as well. My question is realistically, if I felt well enough after finishing knee replacements to go back to work for three years, reinstating benefits afterwards, will it be guaranteed to reinstate? They make it sound like it but its our Gov. so I know better. Is it a risk to future benefits? Logically, of course it shouldn't be, but ..I know our Gov. Anyone have any experience with this, or if I am lucky enough, Dr. Ed see this and answer it?

I'm turning 65 in March of 2025. I'm leaning towards Medicare Supplement along with Plan G. Not sure what other options are available. Does this cover prescription
@user-TM59
@user-TM59 День назад
@debbauer4241 Plan G just covers what part A&B doesn't pay. It Doesn't cover prescription drugs. You Have to purchase a stand alone part D plan. To avoid a late penalty fee a month you need to purchase Part D no later than 2 months after your 65th birthday. Also once you turn 65 and sign up for Part B you have a 6 month window to sign up for a supplemental plan you automatically would get plan no matter what your health condition is,,, But if you pass that 6 month window you would have to go thru a medical underwriter they may ask you up to 30 medical health questions, they could deny you a supplemental plan.
@MyGovExpert
@MyGovExpert День назад
No, you will have to get a separate Part D plan. My Medicare team can go over all your options. Give us a call after this crazy enrollment period...late December. 888-817-0446

Original Part B premium in 2025 be 185.00 a month,, stand alone plans needed part D- drug plan, a dental plan, vision plan, supplemental plan/medigap, Depends what state you live in the amount on all these plans a month 500.00 or more.😮
@threeftr3349
@threeftr3349 23 часа назад
No, you would need to sign up separately for a Part D drug plan. You can change your Part D drug plan every year.

Since it took 5 years, were you only eligible for SSI Disability then? If so, dependents under anyone drawing SSI aren't able to receive anything.

Yes, because your spouse has a history of being married to you for 31 years. Divorcing and marrying you again after you retire in 2014 does not impact her benefits.

Yes it was stated a month ago that Advantage plan insurance companies was going to drop some of their coverages/plans. Reason being is the reduction act drug plan of oop cap of 2,000.00 year for us plan holders. Plus government cracking down on advantage plan insurance companies healthcare practices , insurance company upset about losing profit revenue especially from the drug reduction act they have to pay more for prescription drugs pay outs.So they drop some of their coverage areas which means less prescription drugs pay outs saves them money. Profit for them. It's all about the money folks!! 😢USA GREED.

Medicare Advantage plans are required to cover urgent and emergency care needs nationwide, at in-network copays, when travelling. But it needs to be coded as such by the provider when billing the Advantage plan.

Some of them pay for some of your utilities and some even pay for some food for you. It might be $300 on utilities for each month and you can of course choose the utility it is. I lived in a house that was all electric so that was an easy one to figure but it often could pay for your phone or internet if you wanted it to.

I am happy with medicare advantage through Aetna Eagle plan, of course i,m healthy with only 1 med , ( which i doubt does any good) LOL. but get discount ($50.00) on premiums every month, get quarterly free supplements and aids and stuff from CVS, a generous dental stipend , good vision stipend every year . silver sneaker is offered but no one honors or offers it in MY neighborhood. so no complaints for me with this company . next year i,m still the same , as per the anoc letter. so we''ll "let it ride" one more year.
