That spawn fight was a headache simulator, WP's measly boss dmg isn't even the annoying part of him, it's his lack of range imo. Well played and good video dude
Yeah lack of range is his single biggest flaw, just like Slayer & Grail Knight. But that’s exciting - good game design is about parameters, about what limits the player has within which they can play. Because it’s those limits that force you to make choices & take risks. So a character like WP that has so much going for it, but is also kneecapped in the biggest way possible in this game. Is fantastic. FatShark did a really great job here.
@@fredslipknot9 I disagree entirely. I now have to entirely rely on my bots to kill Monsters/Lords for me, because I have no DPS. This to me is a game breaking flaw with this character, I don't want to be relying on my bots to beat a mission. He needs some serious buffs to his monster DPS or I simply won't use him as a playable character, it's no fun letting your bots do all the hard work while I take out the trash.
I generally agree with you. However, WP seems to me to be fairly balanced overall, and I think it differentiates itself well from the main melee carriers like GK and Slayer, so I think it's finally time for an interesting support carrier.

I have no interest in playing IB for instance, doesn’t mean I think it needs changing. Not everything in a game has to suit the taste of every single player of that game - that would make things incredibly bland. Let it be as it is for the people who like it that way - you can (and should!) be happy playing Slayer or Grail Knight for dps with someone else playing a Warrior Priest to back you up. Because that’s how this game works, if nothing else.
Lmao at all the complainers that can’t wrap their heads around characters having roles and specialties because this is a team game. Every character should have weaknesses, nobody should be good at everything.
Love that the most. I personally main footknight, but have fallen in love with this WP. God i hate to see so many bad WP about, crying how weak he is, when he is one of the hands down best classes out there... they just better off playing the nuker kerillian at this point.
I love what for what he is, a good support with nonexistent monster damage, but atleast he can revive people and heal somewhat good if you take a chunk of damage in 3s and that make for last man standing easier if smakced by a monster for a ress
Yesterday a bought the Warrior Priest DLC + the cosmetic upgrade. This is my first DLC in this game, and I don't know how to equip this and the other DLC weapons. Can somebody help me please? Thank you!
It is always funny to be a class not well equipped to deal with armor and then you see a grail knight or a warrior priest next to you cut them down like they are regular infantry
0:56 Did you change the swing animation? Because I use the Holy Great Hammer, and the 3rd strike has a circular motion (almost like a reversed "C") which happens that make it weird. But in your video, it looks like a normal wide strike.
Man idk how you do it, whenever i try something like this even with bots, i get swarmed by multiple specials. 2 hook rats 2 sneak rats 2 leeches all at the same time. ill dodge one just to have another right there waiting to get me.

3:10 this voice makes me anxious xD 3:46 lol, best solo class confirmed. I was thinking about system that would allow trade Ult charge for throwing off special if you play solo, without bots. Maybe give debuff, so you cannot use Ult for 5min or something
its wp baseline talent, that meter you see is called fury, fill it with kills, when its full atacks do more damage, and every kill resores hp for the whole party imagine like using a lifeshare and lifesteal potion together
I do believe that it was difficult for Cataclysm packmaster to cut down on his strength. However, if your ally is grabbed, I think it's a good idea to give him a shield if you can afford it.
The perspective in this game is really weird. It's like your melee attacks reach out 10 ft in front of you. The enemies attacks seem to do the same thing. Watch at 2:49 the big guy shoves you with his axe but he's like 5ft away. How the hell does that hit you?
Finally a counter for assassins making no sounds whatsoever sometimes and clipping through a horde to hit you. If only they bothered to address that and the WEIRD hookrat timing with this update.
How is it a counter? You cant activate after youve been hit and you cant predict its coming if you dont hear it. Its nice when it works but the randomly missing soundcues are as much of an issue as theyve always been.
I know he's not bad. But it is jarring how much better sister of the thorn was at launch. Fatshark seems to have a pattern now. GK = Stupidly strong even without range Engi = kinda meh and requires the team to change his diapers in order to work properly. SOT = busted WP = actually balanced properly so he seems underwhelming. If this pattern keeps up Sienna's new career will also be OP. Incoming Battle Wizard version 2.0.
I really can't get on with the new 2H Hammer for Victor. The swing pattern just doesn't work for me, it's unnecessarily complicated. I want to like it, but I just can't. Why they changed it compared to the other 2H Hammer I don't know.
Wait, what? Its literally just H1/H2/L3. Compared to Heavy spam sure, but if this gets you stuck then I think you're missing out on a lot of fantastic weapons. You can even do H1/H2/Push if you take the Unstoppable Force talent (half push cost if you hit 3 enemies in 1 swing).
