Honestly there is no words for people who believe we have been to the moon. It's truly mind blowing. They are otherwise intelligent people but very, very gullible. I like Ricky's comedy but he's either misinformed on many subjects or a paid stooge.

Problem with your theory is,,,there is a mirror on the moon placed there to be used for measuring and it is used by observation stations to this day....if we never went there then how dis the mirror get there?​....(Actually there are 5 mirrors and the measurements are taken using lasers) the mirrors are used by more than just the American government so why do other competing nations lie for the USA? And why did even china (who are anything but allies to the USA) use the info collected from these mirrors to plan their mission? I can understand being dubious of things but not when they are so easily and casually proven. The temperature on the moon's surface was not 100 C during any Apollo mission, instead the missions landed during the equivalent of the lunar morning, hence long before the sun was at its maximum elevation and therefore the surface was not at its maximum temperature for that location. The Dutch moon rock was a mistake made by a Dutch ART museum, who incorrectly assume a rock donated to them was from the moon, an error that would never be made by a SCIENCE museum :-)

Dust clouds and floating dust particles occurs here on Earth due to our atmosphere trapping the dust particles. There is no air on the moon to trapped the dust and so particles blasted by a rocket engine travel away at great speed to land some distance away. That Collins quote is his answer to the astronomer Patrick Moore asking them if they could see stars in the corona (atmosphere) of the sun in spite of the glare! So context matters my friend :-)

@@michaelb8758 - A classic movie, except the moon scenes in "2001" are packed full of errors and false assumptions about the moon that are never seen in ANY Apollo footage. Also, to this day, it is impossible to fake in a studio with actors the perfect 1/6 gravity seen in hour after hour of Apollo footage, much less fake it back in 1969-1972 :-)

In particular, notice how the spacecraft that landed on the moon is NOT the spacecraft that returned the astronauts to Earth, instead the Lunar Module was used to take the astronauts from lunar orbit to the surface of the moon and then back up to lunar orbit (just like centuries ago when rowing boats took those exploring the oceans from their anchored ship to the shore of a newly discovered land, and then took them back to their ship to continue their journey).

We've literally taken minerals and rocks and samples from the Moon that are verified by qualified scientists. Not only that but we have literally bounced a laser off the Moon via the Lunar Laser Retro-Reflector we left there. Google it. It's just so sad people still need to believe in conspiracies. I was the same in school, I was sceptical of the Moon landing. Then I grew up.

The USA sent men to the moon 9 times from 1968 to 1972, landing on the moon during 6 of those missions. So Ricky is correct.

There is much of this world and beyond that we know nothing about, indeed some say we could be living in a computer game.

The USSR tried and failed because they couldn't get their 'moon rocket' called the N1-L3 to work, instead it blew up during every test launch. In comparison, the USA's Saturn V rocket worked every time, allowing the USA to send men to the moon 9 times from 1968 to 1972, landing on the moon during 6 of those missions. Had the N1-L3 rocket worked and the Saturn V rocket kept blowing up, then we would be here talking about USSR's moon landings instead :-)

The coke bottle claim has been debunked years ago (and if you looked into it then you would realize why it never made any sense in the first place).

If someone covered your car in crumpled up foil and tape to reflect away the heat from the sun, would you now think your car is made out of tin foil and tape? If the answer is no, then why apply that same 'logic' to the Lunar Module? :-|

Hence Concorde is lost technology, it will never go into service again and we have no supersonic passenger planes in service today. The Space Shuttle is lost technology, it will never go into service again and we have no spacecraft like the Shuttle in service today. Likewise the Apollo Saturn V rocket is lost technology, it will never go into service again. And so on. *If we want that technology back, then we will rebuild it using modern technology and modern techniques.* The recent Artemis 1 mission that featured the record breaking SLS rocket and the Orion space capsule (designed to carry FOUR astronauts) that recently returned from a 25 day mission to the moon and back to Earth... is the USA rebuilding the technology that was lost. As a result, the Artemis 2 mission next year (or 2026 if delayed) will be a manned mission into lunar orbit and back to Earth. Later Artemis missions will land people on the moon once the lunar lander is ready.
