I’d rather be single for the rest of my life then go through a relationship like that. My marriage was like this. No matter how hard I worked or how hard I tried to make my ex wife happy. She’d always tried to bring me down by comparing me to others. That just drained me emotionally, spiritually, and psychologically.

I dated a guy like this before.. always telling me to get a more 'high standard' job, to exercise more and become thinner, to make more money, blaa..blaaa..blaa.. even when I was already very happy with myself. It doesn't take long for me to walk away from him. Jokes on my ex though.. I heard that he broke up with his 'perfect' fiancee whose a doctor because apparently she thinks HE is not good enough for her. While I'm currently happily married to a husband that supports me in every way and says I'm beautiful however I become.

I work at a hospital very long hours . And the minute my boyfriend started complaining about my job I said to him . Before I met you I had this job and if you don't like that I work at a hospital then there's the door , nor you nor anyone can yell me when or were I can work so get out. He hasn't mentioned or complain about my job again. Now he has choice but to accept it . If not the door is always open.

Change is not a bad thing. Sometimes that change which ur partner wants in u..u may not realise in d beginning that it's actually gonna uplift u..n so u may think they r nagging (just like d guy in this video), but it may not always end up like these 2. There r instances when that change was accepted n d person later may have been so grateful for their partner/parent/friend/sibling for having pushed them to make it. Sometimes we need a push in life..n we may not even realise it. But ofcourse..it depends on d method. The methods used by this lady r very wrong. If..maybe she had convinced him in a better way..or tried to understand his dreams n ambitions better, this whole thing could have ended differently. So..it doesn't mean that if someone (who loves u) is trying to change u its always bad. It could turn to be really good for u too. Sometimes d intentions maybe right, method maybe wrong. Or d method maybe right, but they fail to understand that what is good for u may not be what u deeply desire. In any case whether we forgive them or not depends on how deep our connection is. But never strictly go by d rule that as a partner (or anyone for that matter) u musnt try to change someone at ANY circumstance..n just watch them waste away their life/potential/happiness just cos u r afraid u may come across as a nagging/controlling partner! Nope. It just amounts to neglect (intentionally or not) n it's equally bad. So d take away is..it all depends on HOW we do it..n HOW MUCH do we really understand our partners or ppl we love.

Michelle wasn't a nice person. If she really loved Adam, she would have accepted him for who he was and not kept trying to change him and been so rude and controlling. She also acted immaturely when she saw Adam's new girlfriend as she childishly said, "Enjoy thrift shopping!" instead of being happy for him. No one like Michelle deserves to have a relationship if they have a disgusting attitude like that. I'm glad Adam had a happy ending.
