In Asia, we don't have a prom we just have a farewell party where we eat play different games, and go back home even though we can not bring any outsiders but still, those days are amazing and memorable

My prom was in 2019 and in Puerto Rico, we usually do the prom in a hotel, and invite whoever we want. In my case I stayed at a hotel for three days after prom night with my whole class and by the way we were by the beach.

My school's prom is always in May. At my school the dress code was pretty strict. You couldn't have high slights, cut outs or low necklines and you couldn't have ultra low back. The school was concerned about the students having sex, but that would have happened regardless of the dress.

For Prom in my school you could invite anyone under the age of 21. It reduced the chances of alcohol being brought to the venue and people getting drunk...now the after party haha

I got to go to three proms. I got invited to prom when I was a freshman. Then I had my Jr and Senior Prom which I got asked too but I had a boyfriend so I went with him. Hated the dress I wore for when I went to the one when I was a freshman. Was in love with the dress I wore for my Junior prom. Everyone kept coming up to me telling me they loved my dress and everything and I should of worn it for my Senior Prom instead. Liked my Senior Prom dress but I was also pregnant with my oldest at that time yet I looked amazing. Now she is 28 and married with two kids 😁 Proms are wonderful and great time to dress up and hangout with all the friends you made in High School. As for after prom...That could be anything from going to after Prom Parties or other things. I don't know nothing about those things, (All kids don't read the last part). Anyways...Not all my kids went to Prom unfortunately. My oldest went and looked absolutely beautiful 😃 my Autistic son didn't go unfortunately but a few years after they had a big party and had the kids in his program dress up like it was a Prom and he loved it! My 22 year old daughter went to Prom and looked so stunning that her ex boyfriend almost got in a fight. Then my 20 year old lost out on Prom because of Covid which was horrible and she was so sad. Now my youngest will be having her Junior Prom in 2023 and i can't wait so then I will cry 😭 They grow up so fast 😭 Ooh and to answer your question Ryan. You can invite who ever you want to your Prom. No matter what school the other person attends or if you want to bring a friend or cousin. I know one person who invited her mom because she never got a chance to go to a Prom and it was the sweetest thing ever and the girl had a boyfriend. Yet he understood and was completely OK with it. So it's really a magical time where anyone can feel like a prince or princess for a day and know that everything you have done for those four years of High School has come to and end and now it's time to celebrate and have some fun!

Ehem, prom queen here 👋 I got my prom dress from a second hand store with less than 5 dollars and my sister wore that same dress to my graduation party, I think 😂 And I don't know why I'm telling this story... just wanted that prom queen flex probably 😆✌

We tried asking for a prom and school was like ok sure we will give you a "prom" and rented a tiny place in the middle of nowhere and it was horrible in every way because nobody felt like it was a prom, it more felt like they just wanted to shut us up by shipping us off for a night into the middle of nowhere for a few hours. Nobody danced. I've had new years eve with relatives feel more festive than that.

Here in my country we call it farewell party and in this party boys wear suits but girls wear our traditional dress that is a saree 🥻 But I was so unfortunate that my batch couldn't attend this party becoz of corona and it hurted badly when I saw my junior who got this party this year 🥲 Btw we cannot bring partners in this party so it is not exactly a prom😄😄😄love u Ryan☘️

For school we were all girls, we had a weekend break at a hotel. We did have a party like a prom but nothing too fancy Tbh it was really fun, because I got to my first weekend break with my friends.

We don't call it prom in my country, we call it a matric dance, and we only have it once only in grade 12

In my country we have this ball in 2nd year of high school and we have to learn like 10-15 formal dances and we wear prom dresses and suits. That's the most equivalent to prom. I didn't go because I wasn't interested in learning the dances and now I kinda regret it because I never got to wear a dress like that.

We were also supposed to only have prom dates from our own school, within our grade. Additionally, everyone was allowed to invite a few family members. I went to school in Germany. My dress was a really simple, black, ankle-length dress. Think back, it was not the perfect fit but the cut was really nice for formal dances. I don't know about the US, but in Germany (in my experience), prom is about ballroom dancing. Our entire grade took a course once a week for almost a year and prom was basically to commemorate having finished the course.

Our school has 2 proms. One for the seniors and another for the juniors. And.. we're not allowed to bring someone out of school. The worst thing is that everything we do was GRADED. Especially the amount of people we dance with.

When I went to prom….I did wanna have a dress that was extra…but me being a shy outcast also didn’t wanna be in the spotlight..but I said screw it and got a big princess dress because all of those other dresses, you could wear to like a fancy dinner or something, this was one of the only times I could dress like a princess and it would be ok, so I’d rather do that than have one of those normal dresses that all looks the same

Prom was not worth it, only thing that caught my eye was the chocolate fountain other than that we were bored and not dancing either lol. By the end we were on the floor playing cards cause there were no chairs to even sit. If we were eating it was at a restaurant that was not even close to the prom venue lol.
