Here's my slightly customised PS3 60GB launch model. Modifications include 500GB HD, passive watercooling with Zalman Reserator 1 V2 and power supply transferred to an Xbox 360 case :)
that mod looks AWESOME. most mods involve taking off the cover and running water tubes throughout it, which this is doing too but with an enhanced cover. i wish i had this
YES they are necessary (NOT) but they do help transfer heat from one side of the system to the other. A lot quicker and more efficient than the standard PS fans
this is amazing. Did you had to make holes in your ps3 case ? I have the Big Water i750 ? and I was thinking in modding my ps3 :P The ps3 fan is too loud...
@oRedRaider wait i dont understand, i have this same system in my xbox, and one tube simply goes into the one waterblock with cold coolant, and the other takes the the coolant out and back into the system, do you mean im harming my system? (please respond)
PS3 fan's are loud as hell. You can get a pretty quiet pump. He probably uses the PS3 for movies and netflix, and doesn't want the obnoxiously loud fan.
I see you are rolling a Zalman Reserator. You do realize it is made of aluminum, don't you? I truly hope you are not using copper/brass fitting or blocks. If so, Mr. Galvanic Corrosion is about to pay you a visit...
You should NEVER have your watercooling system (pump + reservoir) mounted below your blocks/system. Sorry but all this vid shows is lack of knowledge in what you are doing.
