Love every minute of your videos. So glad you are getting ready to do another biggie. Will be right there with you in spirit. Blessings, Teri Hope and my dog Maddie
Beautiful area! Thank you for sharing that it's hard - sometimes people make things look easy. But definitely as I get older, it takes more grit than it used to, to do the same hiking. Worth it!
In my younger years I used to ride and hike in the same day too.....at the end of the day I would say I was so tired MY HAIR HURT!!!! And I was only 16! LOL!
Ahhh- cold water soaks for feet and body! Such a treat after hiking! Nice video of the snake - I have not seen one with the striped tail before. Re-starting my treadmill hike-alongs with you! Thanks for the inspiration to keep moving!
Ah, two great boot camp videos. So fun! I love seeing the beautiful flowers in the spring desert. Glad you heard the snake before walking too close to it - ha. Love the hat, Kristy and Annette, awesome AT tattoo! As I'm typing this my weather app says its 23 deg around 5:30 here in CS. We do have a nice warm up coming in several days though and hope to hit the trails :)
Awesome video. The flowers were so beautiful. That big rattlesnake gave me goosebumps, yikes! That cold plunge looked so refreshing. Love all of your videos and thank you for what you do to bring us all along. I enjoy watching both of you so much on all of your adventures. Take care, stay safe and happy hiking. ❤️🥰
What a beautiful place for a boot camp! You both are looking strong and up for anything! Thanks for showing us how you all get your bodies ready for a long backpacking trip!! 😊
You're amazing! Those trails looked super fun, but you had so much weight on your backs. You're crazy strong and in-shape. Boot camp was a success! Congrats!
You 2 are amazing. I’m doing my own mini boot camps for the JMT this summer, but have to wait until snow melts before I can get in some real hikes. Dayhiking with my backpack and even bear canister though to try to get a better feel of where everything will go with this bugger on top. Definitely a conversation starter wherever I can go right now.
This is why people should NEVER hike our trails with earbuds ~ you will almost always hear a rattler before seeing it (they blend in so well on the trail). Good hike!
I bought some of those Shocz, that are just outside your ear to hear surroundings. Not sure bout rattlesnake though. Don’t use them all of the time, just on tough climbs or areas when I need a distraction from my own thoughts.
You guys are amazing. I’m always impressed with your commitment but also your positive attitudes. Love it. You inspire me to do more. Hope to meet you one day. Keep smiling!
Another great video, thank you. At 71 multiday hiking, I never underestimate the power of a rest day and hiking differently at this age, reducing the miles and expectations!
Old Timer rattlesnake paying you homage for making the long drag for 7 °+ .It couldn't believe it's eyes as it looked back.Your strength and training are outstanding, but no matter what weather wins over everything, hope you don't get the crazy snow storm and sudden drop in temps.Wow what a treat to find that cool "bathtub" Chilling really does help.Wishing you the best as you prepare in every way.Yes,yours is a rough n tuff boot camp ladies.Kudos !!!
I'm writing in green ink today......it's called ENVY. I miss biking so much but I do take my walks. The "bathtub" looked refreshing but how long did it take to dry off and what was the temperature. Love your hikes, the scenery is beautiful. I always wondered if you run into many snakes especially in the rocky areas. Take care of your foot, Kristy. You two always do what's good for you. Take care, be safe.
That rattlesnake was awesome! What a beautiful creature -- I saw him on facebook and he's getting famous. I saw one the other day on a local hike at Torrey Pines, but it was just a cute little baby or juvenile. Spring is here for sure. Happy hiking!
Hi ladies! What a workout at boot camp! Hiking, biking, weight lifting. You deserved that day off on day seven. Catalina SP trails were so pretty with the yellow flowers and cacti. Love your videos and adventures! Take care.
Brilliant, im starting my prep for rhe Tour de mont blanc in 13 weeks, taking tips from you, love your hats, going to search for one in the UK, i know the Alps will be hot in July x
Thanks for that! You 2 are so inspiring to watch, I am living vicariously through you with these videos. I love to see the workouts with weight lifting as well, that helps so much with preparation. I'm doing that too. I've only seen rattlesnakes on trail maybe 5 or so times in my life and I live here. That was lucky. Also, Romero Pools are actually about 1/4 mile further down, but don't worry I won't tell anyone. Wait a minute... Whoops.
Boot Camp looks like it’s working. Liked your soak - nothing like snow melt to remind you about being a package of senses to experience life to the fullest. Liked the poppies and could tell you did too when you took time out to focus on them toward the end of your filming. Views of the mtns and flora were stunning and satisfying. I really liked the pictographs/petroglyphs; in the PNW, we chose to scoop them up and display them in certain public settings; otherwise, they were lost to rising waters from the dams. I watched your video while dining on pretty much the same things you guys were eating, only, in soup form. Thank you for the ride along and peek into your outdoor life: keep living it all to your fullest. Me: I am ALREADY FULL-ON FERAL!
It's sooo beautiful there! Love all the poppies and cactus and waterfalls. Cold soaking Lol haha and a frog 🐸🤣🤣🐸Wish I was there doing some hikes with you guys. Watching is the next best thing. Cheers!
You are both such an inspiration! I’m struggling with plantar fasciitis and wishing it would go away so I could do some spring training. Have you guys ever struggled with plantar fasciitis ? Thank you for taking us with!! 🙏💜🙏
OMG - we almost did the petroglyph hike yesterday but I wasn't sure how to get there. I read one may need a state land trust permit or hike longer? Would love any info you can share. Where would we park? We did the canyon loop and then the bathtub hike yesterday but didn't see the bathtub. The poppies are so beautiful! Wow! That rattlesnake! Wondered if we might run into you gals!
Ah ok. Started to check AllTrails. I’m not camped there but have family in Tucson and I’m south of Tucson. My sister and I hiked there Saturday. I was telling her about your channel!
I have been watching you ladies for years now. I especially love your videos of the Appalachian CDT and PCT. On those hikes you were a threesome. I have been curious why we never hear from Lynn. Could you please give us an update on what she has been doing. I hope she is alright.
Sutherland trail to Petroglyphs on all trails. We found it doing the 50 year trail to trail link to Sutherland trail. It's off of the Trail Link section.
