281. Would like to visit offline. My name is kevin. And then my number is 658427. That's one word. Do you remember that old soda called YooHoo?? Sheesh. Ain't talking in code fun??
There is a beautiful, brand-new trail system at the Texas Canyon Nature Preserve, located at the Amerind Museum in Dragoon. The landscape there makes for gorgeous hiking and the Amerind Museum itself is quite fascinating. The Dragoon Mountains are also beautiful, and of course Chiricahua NM is right there, so you have lots of fun adventures nearby! Congrats on your new home away from home!
Your new "spot" looks wonderful and so many fun things to do. It's nice you have a trail right there for hiking. I was putting off going for my 2 mile walk today but you always inspire me to get out and do it. So, I'm off to the park. Take care, be safe.
My wife and I were SKP members a few years ago and used many of their parks. Never did lease a site but enjoyed our stays at most of them. We thought Benson's was one of the nicer ones. Your spot looks VERY familiar, I think we may have rented that one once. Our fav restaurant was Mi Casa along the main drag through town just south of Walmart. Great Ice Cream shop too. Best of luck and congrats!
No clue why RU-vid offered me this video, but I'm such a fan of the movie "Dark Star" and it's song "Benson, Arizona" that I had to watch. Looks like you both are enjoying life to the fullest. It is hard to beat Arizona so I wish you both the best of luck with your lifetime lease there!
That place is awesome. I love the location and it has a hiking trail. What more could you ask for? I absolutely love your spot that you got ❤. We are considering doing full-time Rving now that we are both retired. We want to travel and go places. I'm so glad that you provide the information that you are. It's great to see you both again. Much love from Oregon ❤
Congratulations on securing a spot! I'm gearing up to begin the AZT in a couple of weeks and you're Arizona adventures have me so excited to visit the area for the first time
Hi ladies! What a nice park with all the amenities for you to use. The casita is a nice idea for storage and a place to hang out. Those benyays (horribly misspelled) looked real good. Here in Wisconsin, we have Paczki's (pronounced Patch-kees) on Fat Tuesday. They're similar to a filled donut, but not donut shaped. Rather they are puffy and about 4 inches long. The doughy part is really good and the kinds of fillings you can get are endless.
Fancy as a retired carpenter if I ever downsize that would be a great place for me. Not too much into the social stuff. Looks like you all will fit right in. I’m hitting the PCT for a section or two maybe I will run into you all.
🎉Congratulations 🎉 looks like a great place; I have so many questions, I’ll do some research. BTW, I noticed that Nettie got a lot more Mardi Gras beads than Kristy (11:39) what’s up with that😂
I love the creative ways that people find to live in community. I think a situation like that would be beneficial for me as an introverted single person. Privacy when I want it, but never alone! Plus, the relative warmth in AZ. Congratulations on your spot!
That park is incredible! It has pretty much everything you need right there. I could have some fun in the wood working shop. I used to love playing with my father's drill press 😂 My dog perked right up when the train whistle blew, she was very interested in that sound 🤭
Hi love your spot, hope you both enjoy this place. I had followed many of your adventures, but had a nasty fall Christmas morning which put me down, when my grandson set up my note book I lost a few friends. Was so happy when I was scrolling to find you again. Did re subscribe 😊
Great video. We’ve enjoyed staying in several SKP parks this winter and are in Saguaro this week. After our official tour today we also joined the Hot List. What number were you when you got the spot?
Love your energy you two. Congrats on the Lifetime spot. Just curious about the cost of your lease and the ability to expand on your casita to include shower, kitchen etc. If you do not mind sharing. Mahalo
Each lot is a different price due to what's on it. You can improve the lot but have to get approval first. A bare lot is 18,000. When you give up your spot you get all of your money back plus what you spend on improvements. It's a non profit so no money is made.
I think you hit the jackpot!! I’m so pleased for you. Have been looking at lane but no considering something like this. Why not? Do you make money when your spot is rented out?
Hi, Great video. We are interested in getting a leased lot. But, the waiting list is very long. If I may ask how long did you have to wait to get a spot ?Thanks
The yearly maintenance costs right now is about $2300. If something happens in the park that is a huge expense the cost for that year can go up. Everyone in the park splits the cost.
Seems like you two have landed in a gold mine. Congratulations on a home base so to speak. ???? I wonder about Lynn. Hope she is okay. I don't hear you mention her.
