Mr. Goodpliers and Joe check out an old salvage yard in western Nebraska, and take home the worst vehicle there! For inquiries, please email rustranchkansas@gmail.com
THE WHITE FORD PICKUP WORK TRUCK CAME FROM A FRIEND OF OURS WHOSE BROTHER HAD PASSED. I KNEW THAT BRINGING IT TO THE RUST RANCH WAS THE RIGHT MOVE..... GLAD IT RUNS GOOD. HIS BROTHER DID TELL ME IT WAS DRIVEN INTO THE QUONSET BARN AND PARKED ... PUTS A SMILE ON MY FACE... THANKS JOE!
Problem with a Salvage Title is that if you put full coverage Insurance on the vehicle, and then it is wrecked again you won't be able to collect. A Vehicle can only be considered a Total loss Once, Once written off its over. Just like everyone drives a "Used Car". Only New until it rolls over the Curb at the selling Dealers Lot. 48 Years in the Automotive Business. Always enjoy watching You and Joe at work!
Greetings from Ireland! Lovin seein Joe chillin with a few of his own projects. I lived in the states for a while in the ‘90’s and owned an old 78 Ford Galaxy 351 that I bought at a police auction, drove it thousands of miles and that thing loved fuel!! Those 460 Ford pick ups would be great but soooooo thirsty!!
Also watching from Ireland ,your username has me curious, is it a reference to an opel rekord? Bizarre question I know but I owned a few and still like them.
I had a 72 saloon and broke a 72 2 door estate for the engine and headlights 😢, I shudder a bit when I think about that. The coupe is a rare car which I've always wanted but as you know, they were always thin on the ground in paddyland.
For all the train geek’s, that locomotive cab is Burlington northern 6396. An sdp 40 locomotive. Cc trucks, built 5/66 at gm electro motive Lagrange (McCook)Illinois. A freight locomotive that could be used for passenger service hence, the p designation, having a steam generator to heat the passenger cars.
Of 7 of us raised on a farm with a salvage yard like that 5 of us started and ran our own companies, construction, machine shops etc because we learned how to use tools, solve problems and not afraid of hard work. Nothing we can't do. That kid should do well at any career he goes for.
I think there were many good cars and pickups there, but the Bronco was the best choice.Really enjoyed the part after the wrecking yard.Love your show.Great deal on that camper.
The Bronco tub is remarkably rust free and would be excellent to replace a rotten one. I picked up an early 50s military Jeep tub a few years back but based another rat rod project on it. However I do have two stock to the hubcaps, my former daily driver 73 C30 with the Stahl work body that survived tucked away in a Lakewood CO warehouse for 20 years. I also have a 53 Plymouth Cranbrook club coupe with overdrive currently in storage. I have several 53 only wheel covers but like the 51-52 covers better. Great video, a lot of tin still out there
Nice Fords. Shame they were alcoholics in a previous life, I call the last part of the video a 'sweetener' for a Joe's Rustranch walk around. We are all salivating at the thought! Also great that you are still finding Old Car Supermarkets out and about. Got guys in the comments wanting a price on that flattop Mr Goodpliers?
I was amazed how rustfree many of those forgotten junkers were. There were a lot of good parts cars and things for the right person. I own a 63 Belyair 4d sedan like the one you showed here. Wish I could part it out. The location and the problem of transporting the stuff seems to be the the reason why most of those relicts will be unceremoniously scrapped. The parts of the Bronco that are still there are amzing. I remember the piece of crap the poor bastards of gas monkey garage had to work on.
@javierdenardo2607 No, the Duel truck was an old, narrow nosed Peterbilt. However this Kenworth is of roughly the same vintage, and why it looks similar.
Hi tim the 58 merc 59 galaxie the green dentside the red white bumpside an the bricknose are my picks i like joes olds an f350s so many i wish was in my garage thanks for the tour . Cheers mate🇦🇺
They really aren't that bad on fuel for the weight of the vehicle and how much they can tow/haul. Not that much less economy than today's gasser trucks of the same size, WHILE towing. The newer trucks do much better when on the freeway unloaded. I have a 1990 F350 CCLB SRW 4x4 with the 460 and the 5-speed manual. Just picked up probably 2mpg from towing-in the front two tires (apparently the eyeball-alignment along the sidewalls isn't accurate enough). It will get up to 12mpg empty, 7-9mpg while towing 8-10K lbs.
Must be around Gering. Loco cab 6396. I had a connection with that engine. Originally a Great Norrhern RR passenger engine. I wonder what they did with the bullet proof glass.
Did you see the one that Gas Money Garage Built n it was Rusted worse than your n they sold it for $40,000 or $50,000 n that was when Aron was working for him
That 1970 ford truck behind the dually the 71 utility one and the 67 thats my favorite year bumpside ford i have one the ranger f100 white red white all original with the 3 on the tree 360 but its a shortbed😒
Whatzit corner 🤔. I almost thought that was an aluminum Dodge slant 6 used in passenger cars from 1961 to early 1963. R, S, &T series blocks (corresponding to 1961,1962,& 1963). But I'm not sure. That Bronco is not that bad, from the video, be cool to drop an old '67 427 side oiler in it! (Not Joe Approved I'm sure 😂😂). Enjoyed the video!😎🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
SOME OF THOSE TRUCKS LOOK LIKE A KOOL GOING TO TOWN RIGG. IF I WAS A MILLIONARE . ID BUY ALOT OF THEM. N HIRE THE RIGHT PEOPLE TO HELP WITH ALL THE GRUNT WORK. THEY CAN BE HOT ROD BLACK PRIMER. ANY KOOL JUNK YARD WHEEL WOULD BE AWESOME. NOTHING FEEL AS GREAT AS AN OLD CAR U BUILD YOURSELF. N IF NO ONE LIKES N ONLY YOU LIKE IT ITS ALL WELL N GOOD.
The Datsun you called the Datsun looks more like a Nissan 300ZX to me I wish you showed more of it because that was one heck of a nice car and it's day back in the late eighties I drove one when I was dating a someone in the she happened to own one of those brand new and it was really an awesome vehicle I'm surprised you didn't go over and take a good look at that you must not like Japanese vehicles
