My problem isn't even that challenge mode is a limited-time event rather than an additional rotation, it's that it's like... Splatoon 1 Testfire limited time.
@@drdewott9154I think they should make it AT LEAST a whole day long if it HAS to be a limited-time thing, but preferably Two whole days. Of course the best option is to just make it permanent.
The challenge modes should be permanent and rotate between the 3 modes every 2 hours imo. It really would bring some extra flair to the game, it would really keep my interest personally and Splatoon should have casual party modes, this would be perfect

You said what I was gonna comment, and I’m glad that someone else agrees with my take on this. I am seriously so sick of Nintendo only adding new gamemodes as limited time events. I just want them to add SOMETHING different that we can just play whenever instead of arbitrary time gates.
This is a game that revolves around ALL modes having an equal amount of players. If they keep adding PERMENANT modes, then they are spreading the playerbase thin. Modes such as turf war, salmon run, and the lower ranked anarchy modes would have less people playing and take a lot longer to find matches.
Another bit of precedent for them potentially fixing this is Eggstra Work. They've revealed that next season they will be adding the ability to queue up for it solo instead of having to use the Pool system. I suspect the reasoning is that they probably saw fewer players participating due to the extra (eggstra?) steps required to even play. With how limited the time windows are for Challenges, it won't be too much of a surprise if not very many people even show up. It feels like this is bound to blow up in their face and they'll be forced to realize it regardless of whether anyone speaks up or not; they'll see it in the numbers. Anyway, hopefully they fix it soon because they look like a lot of fun and Splatoon really needs these party modes lol
Can Splatoon 3 stop with everything being so timegated?! *THE* new mode in Splatoon 3 (tricolor) has only been playable for a total of 9 days! Just put challenges in a new party playlist where it changes the map and mode every 2 hours just like everything else as well as the “challenge” modifier so people can just have fun with them when we they feel like it rather than the FOMO and having to rearrange your schedule around a video game because you might not be able to play the challenge you want for another 3 months if you dont
Honestly, seeing as Nintendo loves to attempt to persuade us we are wrong about hating things by doing it 4 times over and over until they make one people tolerate, what we should instead do is play stupid and act like this is inaccessible (which it is) but complaints like "I (/my kid) wanted to play this mode and everyone is talking about it online, but when I open the game where is it?" after they're done, will be far more likely to get them to fix it because it becomes a bad PR problem to fix, and makes their FOMO advert more of a people have missed out, not play this or fear you might miss out. Otherwise we just look like we're filing complaints and feedback, for them to consider. And everytime this happens it is immediately met with more of the same problem. - To make this clear, this is the difference between them adding single player Eggstra work because people missed out on their idea of fun, but they are not changing their flank-less S block map design because they want to convince us their map ideas are fun. One they see as a problem, the other they see as an opinion complaint, so we need to raise concerns in the right way.
Honestly, the one thing that would make it fun is having it replace Turf wars on the Weekends (similarly to Splatfests), during the weekends when Splatfests aren’t happening, they have the challenges take place from 5pm PST on Friday to 5pm PST on Sunday. Giving us a nice little time frame on the weekends to do the challenge modes and earn rewards (like a special badge and extra money) for completing the challenges.
In splatoon 2 salmon run wasn't always available due to the devs(as stated in a interview) likely fearing that it would split the playerbase too much resulting in the pvp becoming way less active, this didn't happen however so thats why its always available in 3
a whole season later this is still a problem ive genuinely not gotten to play like ANY of the challenges besides like the first few bc its such inconvenient timing 😭😭😭

We can definitely convince them to change how limites challenges are. The Missile nerf we wanted took one more game and years to get implemented, but it did happen eventually. They also started changing maps and are now actively trying to rework some maps. If it's not because we spoke up, then I dunno what did At times, they listened, so we have to try
I want it to be a permanent mode that rotates maps like Turf Wars/Anarchy/X Battle and challenge too. Not even sure what the lore for this even is. Inklings and Octolings are so serious that they don't even want to party every now and then besides really time-sensitive slots? Idk...I don't buy it. Not everything has to be a time limited event. They're going to clash with each other fighting for your attention with all the events on weekends now.
I'm going to be at work they need to change the limited time. Nintendo has to understand that hay people work. Put it more time cause this is soo unfair.
@@donovanjoseph737 we have also not have gotten a new species, dlc storymode, a new unique weapon unlocked through storymode, and more since splatoon 2 or even one. not saying these should be added at this moment, but sometimes you gotta get what you get and stop crying to a company.
