Thumbs up for the realization that detatchment is very important when building your own stuff. Sometimes you need an external person to guide you. When you design something for a client you ask "What's the business about, what's your goal, give me a KPI". When you build something for yourself you might not even remember to bring that up, you just wanna build stuff based on emotions.

What?!? Get the popcorn. This channel just keeps crushing the content marketing! Q: Is your currently live site the one featured in this docudrama or are we getting a big reveal at the end of the series? Also: Has anybody out there found RU-vid content similar to this? Loving this reality show explainer-tainment vibe. It would be amazing to see some more studios and agencies catching this wave! On a personal level, having worked for years as an in-house AD at a big company and recently gotten laid off, thefutur has been indispensable in helping me quick-study some of the skill gaps I need to fill right now and pointing me in the right direction for additional resources. I have been teaching my students at the university level to learn to “see” and “separate” as they design anything. You need to train yourself to see the details in your own work and that of others to improve. At the same time, separating yourself from your work and weighing your decisions against the original goal(s) must always be top of mind throughout the entire process. Love this series already and can’t wait to try Webflow too.

Finding our self is harder than seeing anothers true self. When working with a client we have a set objective and we financially detached but emotionally invested, we only go half way in. When doing things for ourselves we worry about not being good enough. I think for a designer their story is important but as a marketer I believe customers or market is the end all be all. Can't wait to see what comes next.

You should give examples of detaching the creative process from the critique. This is something i learnt through the years and it pays off when working with clients. It can also teach you that your opinion about design isn’t the only right direction.

Do you think the Design Benefits of Webflow outweigh the SEO Benefits of Wordpress? I love both Wordpress and Webflow for various reasons but I can't get over the fact that "basic" things like AMP, NextGen Image Formats and various other SEO related Options are not available on Webflow.

Wordpress is heavy too. It will need a lot of optimization, same as the webflow export. The best towards speed will be a proprietary CMS but they can go with a headless one too and work on top of it. Will be the best in cost/benefit.
