At one time in my life we showed Donkeys and Mules. My tallest Donkey was 17 Hands. Total gentle giant! You will love owning this guy❤️ He may need to be wormed. Your local farm supply store will have what you need.

Lil tip when using the t post driver. When you pick it up to bring it down on the post kind of give it like a throw down. But as you do take your hands off an let it hit the post. I hope that makes sense. Whole lot easier on your body and hands

Just a quick tip on the T-Post driver. Use your strength to lift it, use gravity to drop it. Do NOT PULL downward on it. It's not only ineffective and exhausting, you can cause a serious injury to yourself. It's way more effective anyway, to lift more quickly, and drop.

Awwwh he’s a beauty. He’s got a lot of years left. My horse is 18 yrs old this year and I’ve had her since she was 6 months old. She thinks she’s still a year old.. lol. Well there’s one thing evident in this video … you nor your husband is afraid of hard work! Putting up a fence is a beast!! My hat is off to both of you. I’m a super hard core animal lover too so this video does my heart so good to see that big boy is going to feel loved. God Bless your farm & family.

Thank you for your kind heart and rescuing him. I’ve done so much research and have come to find the Amish are cruel to all of their animals. They run puppy mills and they are Very inhumane. Shame on them. All the best as your farm grows!

Oh that is so awesome!! If you haven't watched him you will love Asher House Sanctuary while his primary rescues are dogs he also has horses, Llama's, pigs and I can't remember all the rest but he is fantastic he's in Oregon. I absolutely love that you are in to animal rescue it is my passion as well 3 or our 5 dogs are from shelters and we've had many other dogs from shelters in the past that have sadly gone over the Rainbow Bridge in the past 30 years. He is soooooo cute. I love what you said, you are frugal in other areas of your life so you can do what you love and care about. I'm sure Snuffy will add expenses to your life, but they are expenses that you have chosen. Also, I was thinking of naming my son Falcon! and giving him the nickname Cal. We still named my son Cal, but couldnt get my husband on board for Falcon. Wahhhh. Its such a cool name

I guessed correctly, wire too high for a goat or pig. So figured a horse or large cow. Not many cows are for rescue so figured it was a horse or pony.

I've seen tea baths used for dogs with skin complaints, perhaps there is a tincture or wash you could make to help his skin.

If you plan to use the manure for your garden, but sure to buy unmedicated feed. Most horse feed has antibiotics in it. The mule poops out the antibiotics that when used on your garden’s beneficial bacteria can lessen the amount of produce you get.

I remember growing up there was a farmer with about 10 acres of field where the cows grazed and that whole acreage was blocked of by wood posts that would dry rot snd barbed wire that would rust. Every once in a blue moon a calf would escape and wonder on the neighborhood.😂

We mostly RU-vid all the new stuff we do 😂 T-posts are not new to us, but running the electric fence was! The fence is pretty far from where we generally are with our toddler, so it’s really not a worry.

Snuffy is a mule not a horse 😉 We are going to let him relax for a bit first. He is trained to ride and drive … deeply trained. He deserves some rest and vetting before we work with him too much. He walks great on a halter and is obviously very broke (“broken”).
