This is a very well thought out quad. Long Range, DJI, under 250 Grams, Beeper, crossfire, GPS. I would like to see how it performs in mountains relative to a 7" - if it gets blown around or has the same range. Great job!
As a young person in college that loves flying drone but also doesn’t have money this is the perfect drone. You really gave me motivation to get back more into flying. Thank you so much!
I’ve just finished my 3” long range today Dave i have hover tested in my front room it flys beautiful. Thank you for your lovely frame. 250grams bang on. Running 4s 850mah with f7 stack and 4k tarsier cam . I love it. 👍🏽😬
Awesome Dave! I was gonna do your build from thingsverse, but now that this came out. I'm all over it. Glad to see your frame get some recognition and highly produced! Go Dave C & Flywoo!
This is incredible. I have been working on a similar project for several years, but I am really glad to see that someone pulled it off because I have not had the time to develop it as much as I wanted. I have never been more excited about a drone. I ordered two. Thank you for creating this!
Excellent. I've not flown for 5 years. Last set up was an blackout quad. I got frustrated with the poor quality of fpv, I had skyzones. Now it's time to get back and these flywoos are just what I was looking for 5 years ago.
Well done mate , amazing flight time 👍 sometimes i luv just flying around and exploring , this will be perfect for that. You should be proud of yourself ☺
SO. MANY. THINGS. IN. THE. BOX! Extra props, extra screws, extra arms, extra tools, extra stand offs, extra everything! Thanks for this one! Worth the wait!
Congratulations on your outstanding work! I have been wanting to build the DaveC Micro long range for sometime but my building skills suck and I was concerned about the 16 x 16 stack. I’m going to buy two. Thank you!
Congratulations on your product! I was thinking of building a 7" DJI long range system but didn't want something so big and loud to deal with. I will be adding this little beauty to my DJI fleet so I can have a 2", 3", 4" and 5" in the fleet. I just need it to come back into stock.
Smart concept, clever and efficient design, high quality components... quite logically makes an excellent overall product. I hope you'll get the credit and reward you deserve for this amazing work !
Found you on Joshua Bardwells' channel and I immediately subbed. I'm very impressed and extremely interested. Looking forward to doing this build soon. Thanks.
Just starting out with fpv and this is what I have been searching for. It look ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC and I can’t wait to buy one. Thanks for making it possible😊👌😊👌😊😊😊
Echt fantastisch, Dave!!! Your Micro LR was the first FPV and LR frame that appealed to me without reservations. So cool to get a BNF from the motor masters at Flywoo. Kudos for collaborating with them! Big thank you for details about the improved NIN 1404 v2 motors as well. 😎🤙
$176.99 for the analog with the crossfire nano is a great price also, probably cost the same or a little more building it and the time it will take to build it.
Great Job...!!! Dave, a very good high quality, well though out small digital quality long range drone, with a long flight time and a nice GPS in case you loose it flying at those long ranges... I will say this is the ultimate BNF drone out there right now... :) Well done...!!
Congratulations Dave! A great job. I have already reserved the analog version because I have the caddx seen and I will install it. I think I will not have any problem because they are the same drone. Could you make a video where you explain it? Thank you very much and good luck with your project!
I’ve built (6) quads, (5) Aliens and 1 Reverb, kiss and betaflight versions, all running crossfire and this quad is on my list as my next purchase! Cant wait to try it out, 10 minute flight times sound awesome!
I can't wait to the tarsier version... It's the best LR quad of the year for me. Thanks you Dave for your amazing project. A French noob fpv's in Normandy ✌️
thanks for your efforts, this frame is amazing, as i got a frame last year and modified it to get the xjb 145 guts in, with 3 blades hq it flew smooth like silk even my tuning skills are .... unfortunately it crashed, I finally ordered a analog version, since from the beginning I love the project you invented. respect and God bless
Congrats, Dave! Ordered the Caddx Vista version! Also, built your CNC Madness frames! Hope you can provide abit more info on Li-ion packs: 1) Any numbers on 4S Li-ion e.g. AUW, flight times etc.; 2) 3S Li-ion with 3650kv motors vs 4S Li-ion with 2750kv motors for 4" props 3) Flight times/efficiency/AUW difference on 4S Li-ion between 3650kv and 2750kv motors. Thank you in advance and wishing you continued success in being awesome!
Well I’ve been debating on what parts to use in your 4 in long range build. Since I’m in Canada I wasn’t in a rush to order the frame in advance. Well guess I don’t need to think about parts any more ORDERED one! think I actually saved money buying it built not to mention the time!!! and congrats on this deal.
I’m going to get one of these with crossfire and change out the vtx for 2.4 to use with my ground station. It will be fun to get one of these little guys a LONG way out.
Nobody needs yet another BNF quad. Not until something really special turns up. That's exactly what this little cruiser is. Congratulations, Dave. You've made me a few dollars short... Just pulled the trigger on the analog one.
I was horrified when I saw the Flywoo product, until I realized it was a collab. Congrats! Very well deserved. Will still build my own based on your original specs.
Any plans to do an update video in the coming weeks? It's been an amazing year for you and the Explorer LR. Would love to hear a bit about your journey, reflecting back to the Explorer what it lead to while the memories are still fresh. Mentioning the Explorer, as it was topic of 2 videos in you top-5 most viewed to date. Realize the last year has been about much more.
Awesome. Cool design Dave. I ordered one as soon as was possible ;) Looking forward to many long flights. Strangely my own design 5" main basher flies for 8-9 minutes doing freestyle WITH a DJI air unit on board. I'm sure you could explain why that is, but I have no idea why it's so efficient lol. I just say "it's efficient" to my friends who look at it with raised eyebrows when they get 3-5 mins.
A great example of International teamwork, collaborating, designing, and manufacturing advanced hi tech aerial observation tools. The Explore LR is a prime example of, "Jump Tech". Thank you and your team, for putting together this much needed Quad. I can feel your great passion for this project all the up in Alaska. Bucky would say that, this quad design is an, " artifact for humanity".( " Critical Path ") I don't think he would say , " Rock the fucX on! ", but i will. I think you did it, I mean perfection and completion of a dream. Please come to Homer Alaska and fly up the ice fields across K-bay us. This is the tool I'm be looking for with great desire. Fast and smooth Long Range Expeditions up in the ice field, and exploring Volcanos. A few questions if I might. 1) What do you program the FC with? That must be a custom Flywoo tune, spinning those sexy motors? 2) Cold wet weather protection for harsh weather missions in the future? 3) Inav or programable mapping of ice field flights? We want ice edge surveys with FPV drones like yours. 4) How did you get so smart?? My father was a Norski perfectionist, He was an energy estimator building big power generation plants, mostly hydro and nuclear. He would say at the dinner table, that when I was a family man, our electric bill would be just pennies a month. He had a critical eye for time, speed, and materials. The Explore LR design has integrated technology into a scientific demonstration tool for the masses. Seriously need in the USA, with this belligerent leadership on energy and climate science. 5)We are going to be sending these birds to explore in small boats at times. We use the term, launch and recover in the underwater ROV world. Has your team been thinking of a hi speed nautical recover operation? Just incase we have to chase down a few birds. That might be popular with all the near shore coastal surveys coming up. I have a vision as well. Kind regards, Carl
awesome review of a great project,,,, congrats.... I'm tired of going to YT channels and they bash "Cruiser" quad because they are not a freestyle quad,,,, obviously because it wasn't designed for it! Earned my sub,,, thanks Dave,,,, will be going through your vid library.... this is my style of FPV flying,,,, no flippy flops for me! This is an aviators UAV.
