Could this be why that one Syntec building was on fire? Is it possible Scott started it cause he couldn’t handle anymore experiments? This would help Chloe leave and try to start a new life. He might’ve blocked that memory out because she was still in the building after he started the fire, but knew it was improbable to save her.

Here’s my take on this. Scott is not our enemy, he can have very valuable information for us. If we think that he may be responsible for the murder, what would his motive be? It was obvious he didn’t like experiment on humans, so what makes us think he would be capable of murdering someone. I think that if we can get in contact with him, maybe if he shows up again, we could get very valuable information from him. We can even ask him if he ever took serum. If he did, then it would explain him being “asleep” for so long. It was obvious he was one of the good guys in this and I think we should give him the chance for us to gain his trust.

Getting this "Scott" fellow on board might be good for information. But remember, if this really is Scott how likely is it that he'll talk? Remember, he was part of a company that did a lot of private and confidential things. He knows to keep his mouth shut to outsiders. Plus, in the video it's stated he's close to a lot of higher ups. I don't think Wes and the others would put him there if they didn't trust him to keep his mouth shut.

Scott could possible have been traumatized by all these experiments. Maybe that could be a reason he could murder Deb. He did seem a little unstable mentally when he was in the studio.

In the footage he already was starting to seem unstable. Sure he didn't like the experiments, but not because of the nature of the experiments. It's because he actually became close with one of the patients and developed an interest in protecting her. This seems to have put a strain on his mental stability though since he was already seeming to become unhinged a little when talking to the other guy in the footage. You'd be surprised what even good people are capable of when they are pushed to the breaking point, and it seems like Scott was very close to the breaking point already in that footage.

I think the motive of him possibly killing deb was she was a main person in experimenting in people. This is really important, the other guy who was in the room called the patients lab rats, the patients are mistreated and Scott might of felt sorry for them.

Here is an idea: If ever down the road, Scott turns out to be legit and actually worked at Syntec. Ask him about any hidden compartments in the Mountaineer. He might be able to find something you can't.

I like how this is the first time they questioned how young the someone looked. Like when Ben showed up he looked about the same age as Scott does but they didn't questioned how young he seemed despite the fact he should be in his like 50's or something. I think maybe the serum might slow down aging or something cause everyone from syntec that we've seen looks exactly the same after 20 years or more.

"That's funny, Wes said the exact same thing" Hearing that and how the other employee said "you get used to it" makes me think that at one point, everyone had some sense of morality and humanity, but maybe they were eventually put under the influence of the serum. They could have been all on one "wavelength" of thinking and morality, perhaps. Or maybe not, every employee could have just been desensitized to it to such a high degree.

Years ago, Deb said something about different time lines. She had seen the end of this time line before or something along those lines. What if this "Scott" dude jumped across time? Syntech was experimenting with some crazy stuff, time travel isn't that far off. The fact that he could get into the car, he was in that security footage, he was confused about everything going on. It's the only explanation that makes even the slightest bit of sense.

Theory: what is Scott fell in love with Chloe or knew her closely (a cousin or family friend) therefore he didn't want her to get experimented on, so he told Wes what is going on and Wes told him that he shouldn't get his feelings involved, maybe Deb was in control of this project and he'd have to ask her to release Chloe but that would be to risky so Wes and the mystery guy in the tape are trying to convince Wes that Chloe isn't important enough and he should forgot it. That's why we find the passport in the briefcase and the note, cause he smuggled her out of Syntec and has her phone number to try and contact her when she get away.

The suit case fits between both the time travel AND coma/similar theorys, the touch screen thing fits the time travel theory as its as if the last 22 years have been skipped, but in that case how is the chocolate bar old/oxidised.

It's possible that the organiser ran out of battery around 12th April 2000 and Scott replaced the batteries after he 'woke' up and checked it. The chocolate bar would imply that time passed naturally, no time travel happened. On top of that, Scott's hair in the CCTV recording and now look completely different.

Theory: what if that conversation with Scott and the other dude about autumn and talking to Wes and deb if it was some kind of “time travel” it took place after that conversation. When Scott walked into spellbound he asked to talk to Wes, in the video he talked about needing to talk to Wes. Same thing with this Autumn person. If it was some kind of “time travel” my theory is it is taking place after that conversation if that makes sense.

Here are two theories; One: You guys are stuck in some kind of loop until you break the chain Two: The "New" Mountineer is some kind of time travelling car (If that makes sense) And it would explain the slow wear on the car and The movement on the briefcase. In the beginning of the video when the person said Scott “woke up” it wouldnt have made sense because in older documents, Scott was in his 30s in the 90s, so he would be in his 60s by now. This is why time travel would make sense. Time travel would also make sense on why everything in the mountaineer looks so new. Everything in the brief case also makes sense for time travel. The thing that said the year 2000 could mean it was the year 2000 or he thinks it is. The wrapper of the chocolate bar too. The passport 2000-2010. The footage is clearly old yet he looks the same, this would explain the time travel.

As a former engineer, I have a slight knowledge of Quantum Mechanics, more importantly, in the theoretical side of Quantum Mechanics - TIme Travel. It is possible Scott is caught in a time loop or was sent back in time as others have theorized

I am SO exited for this but I just have something to say. Syntec closed/shut down around 20 years ago am I correct? And Scott looked at least 30 when he came into the studio saying he worked there, which I think 20 years ago (around it maybe before Syntec shut down) Everyone at Syntec would be around 30 years old too. And also he didn't look 50 when he came into the studio. Which to me I think he either accidentally went back in time because Syntec was like a lab, and maybe they accidentally made time travel and Scott accidentally went forward in time and didn't get to put it out that they discovered time travel out to the world or they didn't get to maybe? Or just like- the Serum did something to him to make him like- fall asleep for 20 years and maybe it didn't make him age or something? I don't know it's a big theory and that probably didn't happen and I'm just assuming things. But I just hope they figure out who murdered Deb because I loved her! She was amazing and smart and she definitely needs to be avenged!

Here's a possible connection. So we know Mountaineer 1 and 2 both have the same VIN number. Mountaineer one (the original) is confirmed to belong to Wes and #2 is heavily implied to be Scotts (at the very least we know he has used it). This makes me think that they could be the same car (this is assuming we have some time traveling thing going on). It makes sense because of VIN number and I think the germs/liquids we saw under the black light would line up with the shooting in Mountaineer #1 if they would do a deep clean of the car (it would be impossible to get every bit of germs/blood out of the car). The timing would also line up since the paper in the car said that Wes was dead.

I was just thinking about the "cleaner" who stole the absalate, what about Autumn or Jordan, they both worked at Syntec but Jordan could have changed sides or been manipulated to change sides but we also haven't heard about Jordan in a while and idk but I've got this nagging feeling she is going to come into play soon

My theory: When he came to your studio he clearly asked for Deb or Wes, then again we all think he has been with serum and i think so too but looking at that footage he was mad / furious to whoever he is talking to. But he could possibly be the more humane guy like who doesn't want to see the people in pain but serum might be in him but now gone because of the antidote. But I got to say for all the people who you guys have met / encountered he could possibly be one of the friendlier one but I say don't trust him as much, because in the footage he states to have a project under his name

I have a theory like woods was saying, along with many others, he may have been in a coma and while he was in a coma obviously for over 20 years his family may have died and his friends too so he had no one to tell him what was going on especially that syntec was gone so that is why he is so confused.

One key thing to notice, at the end of the dvd video, it seems as if scott looked at the camera, knowing that chloe would see this to warn her of whats going to happen to her.

I think that scoot can be an ally. We can use all the info that he has if he time traveled or was in some coma and still thinks that syntec is still a thing. And it shows that he didn’t want to experiment on humans so what makes him want to murder somebody? I think that if we gain his trust and scoot comes back again he can give us valuable information that we can use.

There’s something about the video that concerns me. Other dude: “what’s the patients ID number?” Scout: “Chloe” Other dude: “so you’re naming the lab rats now?” Why does that conversation make it out that this patient didn’t have a name….like maybe the patient was a baby? Did anyone else catch that? I mean Scout was willing to throw his career away for this patient. That he couldn’t handle the screaming and crying. What are we getting into?

I didn't think of that! But it does make sense. I don't want to think about it though, I mean, Syntec was a bad place but to experiment on babies makes me nauseous to thknk of... The way I thought of it is that Scott sees the patients as people which is why he said a name and the other guy sees them as nothing more than lab rats which is why he asked for an ID number. As for the screaming and crying, well, there was that audio from that casset tape they found in the Mountaineer that Michael digitized and cleaned up that had all the screaming and crying on it so there was definitely a lot of that happening at Syntec...

I think Scott was preparing to give Chloe the briefcase as a sort of survival kit. But he got found out and put into an induced coma that he just woke up from. After finding the case he was concerned about Chloe so he went to the studio to check on her to find it was completely different. Then in his aggravation and while he was being overwhelmed, he lost hope and just left the case there.

If he had been in a coma for that long, he would need extensive rehab therapy as his body (muscles, joints, etc.) would have withered; surely during all of that he would have realized the time change.

Time travel needs to be more of a possibility. We just saw “Scott” on video from who knows how long ago appearing to be roughly the same age he is now. His planner was synced up to the day just the year was off. Also thinking the passport was for Deb? Scott and whoever he may have been conspiring with took it after they did whatever they did with Deb.

I wonder if Deb has her own versions of phantoms and Scott is one of them. The suitcase was locked when they found it and he would have had to set the code when he left the suitcase for it to unlock when they got it. Also time travel is not off the table. After some quick research on the interwebs, quantum physics can connect to time travel using equations for density states in the presence of a closed timeline curves. Guess what was in that book. Lots of equations. Equations that could have made a quantum version of time travel

THIS THEORY EXPLAINS THE MAJORITY OF PHENOMENA IN SEASON 4… Yes, that’s right, I have formed a theory. A theory of dubious quality, and extreme integrity… So, the Mountaineer showed up in the exact same spot again? Correct? However, I don’t think that this Mountaineer is owned by the same person (Wesley Nathaniel) as the first one they found. I think that the new Mountaineer was owned by Scott Clarick, who could have either 1) Been in a serum induced coma, woke up with no memory of the past 20 years of his coma days, and went to work as usual, not realizing that the year was 2022. 2) They are stuck in some form of time loop, probably what Project: Absolute or one of the other projects we have heard about. This time loop is making the Mountaineer and Clarick reappear over and over again, maybe every 20 years or so, making his life a living nightmare. The first possibility is more plausible. Anyhoo, that’s just a small theory about Season: Four, based off of less than substantial information. That’s just a Theory… A Spellbound Theory! Edit: I posted this before the premiere of this video, and before seeing Dark Mega’s theory.

I see a lot of people talking about time travel and stuff, but I have my own idea. What if he was put in some sort of cryo sleep chamber or something that prevented him from aging. This might also explain why he woke up one day and decided to show up at the studio, thinking it was still the past.

What if Scott didn’t want to test on Chloe so he tested on himself then forged the results for her. So when she escapes, Chloe, she has a new identity and such. There’s some kind of time travel stuff happening here with Quantum Mechanics involved. Either he was trying to go back to save Chloe and lost his memory going forward or the reason he was so confused and hostile was because he went forward instead of back. He had a plan to save Chloe and it failed as he went forward instead.

I do really think it is time travel. The papers in the mounteneer were fresh and so is the car showing that maybe he had just gotten it in that time and it came with him in this time which would also explain the same numbers on the car. It also explains how the car randomly appeared. My reasoning is it explains A LOT.

Woah so basically what we got from that is that Scott sat in his first human experimentation and couldn't cope with the horrors of it. But the other guy told him he will get use too it and that alot of people are after his job as he is close working with all the high up people. We also know now that Wes told him the exact same thing which is interesting as we though Wes also wanted to stop the human experiments.
