I’ve never agreed more with Riv on something more than I do with this debate. Everyone else is being so disingenuous about how bad Ayton is. It killed me listening to them lmao
As a Wizards fan, I do agree that Ayton is better. Cuz Poole is literally taking most of the shots for the Wizards and playing like ass. Ayton was also given more shots on the Blazers than he ever did on the Suns and he is beyond more efficient than Poole.
@@NP-nt4hl I understand that, but efficiency isn’t the end all be all to a debate. If that’s the case Zach LaVine shouldn’t be on this list at all. He’s the most efficient player out of everyone mentioned.
If we’re talking about who I want right now, then it’s probably Poole. But with how bad Poole has been since last years playoffs with the warriors, he’s been really bad, especially compared to before
Not if you actually just watch games instead of trying to guess whos better. The undeniable answer is that ayton is the better player. Point blank. No debate needed.
Lmaoo this is wild. It’s obviously Ayton who’s the better player right now. Bringing up Pooles accomplishments are completely irrelevant since that was 2+ years ago
9:57 DeAndre Ayton had a bigger role than Poole. First off Poole was like the 5th best player on his team, Ayton was the 3rd option on the Suns team that made the Finals. DA was averaging 16 and 12 on 67% TS in that 2021 postseason, compared to Poole's 17/3/2 on 65% TS in 2022. You've gotta value DA's ability to rebound, and as a defender he's at least average. Poole is a negative defender. But I expect Riv to defend a golden state player
dawg jordan poole was a key scorer(he averaged 24 3 4 as a starter 2022) for their team that showed up for em in that championship run. aytons motor is also the reason why they lost remember they was up 2-0 and ayton couldnt do anything to help. meanwhile down 2-1 jordan poole still managed to contribute his scoring to a win
And you know this how. I actually watched Poole play last season. Dude struggled because he was forced to play off ball in the beginning of the season. Once they put him at PG he played really well. Averaging 21ppg and 5 assists. By the end of the season he averaged 23ppg, 8 assists and 4.5 rebounds in his last 10 games. I hate fans that want to voice an opinion don't know what they're talking about. You're such a loser.
I'm a blazers fan and the only thing ayton do consistently around here is rebounds. Other than that we don't know what to expect out of him on a nightly basis. Js
Jordan Poole struggled because he was played out of position. He can't play off ball. Once they moved him to on ball his average jumped to 21ppg, 5 assists and 4 rebounds. He then averaged 23ppg, 8 assists and 4.5 rebounds in his last 10 games. Stop it!
If you think poole comes close to ayton, never talk ball again. Hes a good middy shooter, an excellent rebounder, can finish well inside, and is a good defender. Wtf does poole do thay can compare to ayton?
The Blazer’s were noticeably worse without Ayton. The Wizards were the same or better wo Poole player. People love to hate on Ayton but he outplayed over half of the starting centers he played against
Ayton is basically trash but played better without pressure on the Blazers . Jordan Poole is good he’s just not a number option which is shown with this past season . Poole is better .
In Washington Poole had a hard time playing off ball. That's why he struggled. They moved him to PG after the All-star break. He was solid after that point and averaged 21ppg and 5 assists. Last 10 games his average was 23ppg, 8 assists and 4.5 rebounds! Dude talking about he's a terrible player. Those aren't terrible numbers. If you don't know what you're talking about, which you don't, you should probably shut up. 🤡
Is averaging 21ppg and 5 assists and playing 78 games giving your all? Cuz that's what Poole did after they put him in the position he's used to playing. Some of you loser fans have don't know what you're talking and have dumb azz takes.
Nah, Poole just a dumb player and takes bad shots. Ayton often doesn't play hard. Ayton has more useful team skills but it boils down to Lazy/a bit Selfish vs. Stupid/more Selfish
How does Ayton put up empty stats? Phoenix just got sweep their first year without Ayton. Phoenix don't make the finals without Ayton. They also don't make it past the Pelicans when Booker went down without Ayton. Also the whole Zubac is better than Ayton is wild especially when Ayton has played him off the court in back to back playoff series.
Ayton is 7 feet tall and averaged 1 free throw attempts a game last season. BC HES A BUM WHO AVOIDS CONTACT. Like genuinely he will settle for midranges or pass out instead of trying to finish through contact. Imagine Ben Simmons with less passing and slightly less aggression lmao
I don’t even like ayton on the blazers cuz I don’t believe in his march/April runs (even though he was cooking ngl). But Poole was really bad/mid all season.
@@chancethegamer. I’m a fan of the pod and riv but you just don’t see people on espn or fox sports debate or argue like riv. Hes proving his point by yelling and getting animated rather than pointing out statistics or facts.
@@jamesquinnelly5050 he did pull out stats tho? He pulled out pooles numbers and they wasn’t hearing him 😭 plus with riv reactions they shit grows more and more not everyone wanna be phoning reactions or “act professional” when they just bros chilling during a pod
@@chancethegamer. brother riv just crashed out. he was mainly referring to pooles stats and play on the warriors rather than what he’s doing rn on the wizards when they were talking abt current contracts. If you look at other podcasters like Kenny beacham him and his guys actually made it big time bc they don’t start raising their voices and pointing fingers and talking over each other like riv does. Nothing wrong w getting in a heated debate with the guys but if they want they’re pod to grow into the mainstream I’m just saying riv needs to show a little bit more self control.
