As a Wizards fan, I do agree that Ayton is better. Cuz Poole is literally taking most of the shots for the Wizards and playing like ass. Ayton was also given more shots on the Blazers than he ever did on the Suns and he is beyond more efficient than Poole.

9:57 DeAndre Ayton had a bigger role than Poole. First off Poole was like the 5th best player on his team, Ayton was the 3rd option on the Suns team that made the Finals. DA was averaging 16 and 12 on 67% TS in that 2021 postseason, compared to Poole's 17/3/2 on 65% TS in 2022. You've gotta value DA's ability to rebound, and as a defender he's at least average. Poole is a negative defender. But I expect Riv to defend a golden state player
dawg jordan poole was a key scorer(he averaged 24 3 4 as a starter 2022) for their team that showed up for em in that championship run. aytons motor is also the reason why they lost remember they was up 2-0 and ayton couldnt do anything to help. meanwhile down 2-1 jordan poole still managed to contribute his scoring to a win
And you know this how. I actually watched Poole play last season. Dude struggled because he was forced to play off ball in the beginning of the season. Once they put him at PG he played really well. Averaging 21ppg and 5 assists. By the end of the season he averaged 23ppg, 8 assists and 4.5 rebounds in his last 10 games. I'm a blazers fan and the only thing ayton do consistently around here is rebounds. Other than that we don't know what to expect out of him on a nightly basis. Js

The Blazer’s were noticeably worse without Ayton. The Wizards were the same or better wo Poole player. People love to hate on Ayton but he outplayed over half of the starting centers he played against

In Washington Poole had a hard time playing off ball. That's why he struggled. They moved him to PG after the All-star break. He was solid after that point and averaged 21ppg and 5 assists. Last 10 games his average was 23ppg, 8 assists and 4.5 rebounds! Dude talking about he's a terrible player. Those aren't terrible numbers. How does Ayton put up empty stats? Phoenix just got sweep their first year without Ayton. Phoenix don't make the finals without Ayton. They also don't make it past the Pelicans when Booker went down without Ayton. Also the whole Zubac is better than Ayton is wild especially when Ayton has played him off the court in back to back playoff series.

If you look at other podcasters like Kenny beacham him and his guys actually made it big time bc they don’t start raising their voices and pointing fingers and talking over each other like riv does. Nothing wrong w getting in a heated debate with the guys but if they want they’re pod to grow into the mainstream I’m just saying riv needs to show a little bit more self control.
