We did it! This is something we have been wanting to do for awhile now and we took the leap. We found a good deal on some Ayam Cemani fertile eggs from Ebay and bought them. Watch us go through the process of hatching them.

opening the incubator when they are hatching can cause the eggs to shrink wrap and trap the chicks inside.

it amazes me how many people that incubate eggs ignore the fact you should not open the incubator while the actually hatching is going on.

I am hatching an exseprement Ayam Cemani cross between Cemani and some industrial hens High Liners. they will be black as long as the rooster had a dominate gene they will be some great layers and a nice black color I hope and I cant wait to see what we get. he put the scraps back in the bucket LOL

Your never supposed to open or disturb eggs after the 18th day. And always wash your hands good before touching the eggs. But I'm sure you know all this by now as this video is 3 years old lol. Nice video though. My kids love seeing our eggs hatch every chance they get. And never open or take out chicks until the last egg is hatched. Chicks can go up to 3 days without food and water. If it on day 3 and there is dried chicks then you can take those ones out.

21days is the average time it takes for a chicken to hatch, some hatch on day 18, 19, 20, 21, but some come out on day 22, 23 and 24 or more. Don’t interfere with the hatching

The Ayam Cemani chicken is from Indonesia not Thailand.

I bought a batch of AC & AC/Mix from Ebay and my favorites are the Ayam/Black Phoenix mix.. they are just stunning to look at. Mine came from Parents that came from Greenfire Farms but next year I plan to order directly from them.. if I can be patient enough to wait until next year lol. Also, I have the same incubator and it's my favorite out of all of my incubators, for sure the most reliable and gives the best hatch rates - aside from Momma Hen lol.

Where do you buy Ayami Cemani eggs I don’t trust any site to buy them from and I don’t just want to go to eBay and buy random eggs so does anyone know one is trustworthy?

Ayam = chicken. So if you say ayam cemani chicken, it means cemani chicken chicken. It's redundant. Btw, your kids are so adorable

Congratulations on opening up your incubator numerous times during lock down and hatching 🤦‍♀️. The number one rule every knows when hatching eggs is you never open at all during this period. your lucky you didn't shrink wrap them all, also they are better of staying in the incubator for 24 hours at least after hatching it encourages the others too hatch. It makes me so sad, although your intentions are meaningful you probably contributed too at least one of them chicks loosing their life 😪

You should NEVER open an incubator when the chicks are hatching. It’s very important you keep it closed or it could shrink wrap it. That’s like the main rule.,..? Please do your research.
