You notice how many times the Dead Man's chest gets dropped, shaken around or hit against a tree? Just imagine how many times the heart had to have been bouncing around inside; with Davy Jones clutching his chest acting like he's having a heart attack, like, "What the f*ck is going on over there?!"

Fun fact: The jar of dirt scene wasn't scripted and Barbossa's return was hidden from the other actors' scripts, their reactions were genuine.

The Idea of Barbossa hovering around Jack and whispering lines in the Movie like he’s Ghost Nappa from Dragonball Z Abridged sounds amazing.

My favorite trivia of this film is when everyone saw Barbossa, their reactions were legit. They were told it’s Zoe Saldana but weren’t expecting Geoffrey Rush.

Yooooo I love Dead Man’s Chest. Davy Jones is my favorite movie villain as well. I have NO IDEA how they made the CGI look this good all the way back in 2006.

Say what you want about the rest of the pirates series, but the villains are always so well cast. Geoffrey Rush, Bill Nighy, Ian McShane, and Javier Bardem all are so underrated in these films.

"Do you fear death?" is one of the most chilling lines in the franchise. BTW, you guys never disappoint with your commentary!!

I'm so frickin glad that there are people out there in the world that love this movie as much as I do, the curse of the black pearl might have a more natural pacing and whatnot, but this movie is far bolder, swinging bone cages, a sword fight on a mill wheel, PIRATES STABBING TENTACLES FOR LIKE 15 MINUTES, there is so much more to remember! Davy Jones is my favorite villain of all time, and I heavily doubt that my mind will ever change, and now thanks to this video he's tasty! HE JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER!

I honestly forgot that Bootstrap was also cursed when the Black Pearl’s crew threw him off the ship. He even said that he was stuck at the bottom of the ocean unable to die. Just imagine the conversation him and Jones had, serve on the Dutchman or go back to the bottom of the ocean.

When I saw this in the cinema I always remember at the end my dad shouted: "YES! HE GOT HIS APPLE!"

This was the first POTC movie I saw as a kid. I was really scared of Davy Jones BEFORE I saw the movie and when I actually watched it, he became one of my favourite characters ever. But same...I rewatched this last month in prep for this video and thought- “Damn. I have anxiety. I how the HELL did I watch and love this as a kid?” I love this film but dang, it is brutal.

The only sad part of this movie is that you have to read about Jack and Beckets relationship, Jack was originally a privateer in the employ of Becket transporting slaves, Jack realized that this was wrong and set them free but in doing so was branded a Pirate and the ship he sailed on The Wicked Wench was burned down, Jack really wanted to be a capitan again so he made a deal with Davey Jones to raise the ship from the depths and be captain again for 13 years, Jack renamed the now burnt and blackened ship to The Black Pearl and sailed for two years as captain before being mutinied by Barbosa, this movie marks the final year that he was allowed to be captain and thus the movie unfolds with him trying to get out of his deal with Jones

The Pirates of the Caribbean series and Kung Fu Panda series are my favourite movies.

That "We have are heading" line paired up with the Peter Pan "here we go" line brings me so much nostalgia! I remember watching the Narnia movies on DVD and that ad would pop up every time before the movie. Aswell as that anti piracy ad. Those thoughts take me back to a time where everything was simpler.

This is probably one of the best Disney movies ever and by far one of the best trilogies ever

It's so nice to see a commentary that actually highlights the positives of the potc sequels. So many people just love to shit on them and while they were far from perfect movies, so much love and dedication were put into the trilogy and it came through in every amazing scene. They have a special place in my heart and I love seeing them get the love they deserve! Can't wait for At World's End, it was always my favourite!

The thing I love most about the Pirates series (the first three anyway) is that it is completely immersive and consistent with its tone and genre all the way through.

POTC was my favorite trilogy as a tween/teen. The third will always be my favorite, but I really love this one. Davy Jones is an amazing villain and I remember being shocked and shooketh when Barbosa showed up the the very end!!

When I was a kid, I always fantasized that Disney & Red Lobster would partner to open a Flying Dutchman or Black Pearl shaped restaurant in one of the Parks with rocking floors, and the house specialty was based on Davy Jones. Crab legs & claws and fried calamari, with maybe a nori salad to represent his green tinted outfit. Maybe some clam strips for good measure.
