Agree on that OE(M) wheels almost always look better than aftermarket. Only some rare exceptions (and often given its high end) aftermarket wheels can look as good.

Very excited to have my truck back on the channel! Even more excited to watch you work your magic on the turbo and exhaust fab LT. I figured most would miss the pewter but black is my color and I love the Tahitian Black Pearl on the truck with the silver undertones in different light angles. Pewter was never the long term plan. The stepside bed was great until it started cracking above the wheel wells on both sides and in a couple other places, I don’t have the patience to deal with the polyurethane material cracking or blowing into a million pieces. Found someone that offered me $500 to swap mine for their fleetside and made it happen. The oe tahoe wheels have always been my winter set up and I sold the cosmis for a Bogart drag pack that really sets the paint and stance of the truck off and will help me lay the power down on the street. Have OEs on because the drag pack came in later than planned.

When you are using the tire machine, before you air it up, place a valve stem cap on the the side wall near the spot that it's going to pop on, so you can see how far you can send the cap across the shop.

Thats a huge turbo with a 4.8, especially with that stage 2 turbo cam. That thing is going to spool at like 5-6k

When you get the protouring S10 done, we gotta link up and test it against our Psyclone!

Single cab oval eye builds would gain popularity as soon as I consider it. Makes sense though, they're relatively light weight and very aerodynamic for a truck. They feel nimble on the road as well.

The trans cooler on that turbo truck needs to be rotated 180° so the inlet/outlet is up top. The way it is currently allows air pockets and ends up not using the whole trans cooler efficiently.

Those new wheels look great and I think that you guys will hit the 800HP mark no problem. One thing to mention, that part in the video where you were grinding on that new bracket (15:23) I noticed that you did not have safety glasses on. Please wear these!! Nobody wants to see you get injured and eye issues are never fun, neen there done that and never again. As always really enjoy your videos and look forward to seeing these all come together!! 275/50r17 nittos are perfect for those 17x9s

If I was building a track truck, I'd want that lighter plastic bed. But trucks are already light in the rear end, and I always figured especially for drag, you'd want weight back there more than anywhere else.

I love the S-10s. But they should’ve came with a V-8 from the factory like they did with the 2nd gen Dodge Dakota and Durango from the same era. I know with the S-10 Blazers I have, I plan doing a 5.3 or 6.0 LS and a Dana 60 front end.

Really big fan of the ugly truck and Colorado builds. Bout 2 years ago I came across an 09 canyon slt crew cab(4 door) 5.3. Traded in at my dealership with 49k miles. Had to jump on it! Seeing your build makes me want to go crazy on it. But can't really do much here in socal. We'll see what I can get away with 👀. Just a thought. Idk what you plans or intentions are for ugly truck. But maybe 4 piston calipers from 19+ Silverados? Always enjoy the content you put out. Keep it up🙌

Lawrence, is a turbo or supercharger better on these gm trucks? I have an 04 tahoe and have just loved daydreaming about doing these sorts of things to my truck.

I guess not everyone is as cheap as me. I never buy new tires for my project vehicles let alone expensive performance tires. I get used tires for cheap and then I don't mind doing a burn out.

The customers truck I’m afraid I agree with most of the others. It was gorgeous before and it’s ugly truck 2 now. Don’t have to be ugly to be a sleeper. People don’t expect a truck to be fast…aka…sleeper.

What tires are these I’m looking to get some for my 99 single cab I want good grip and and a staggered thinking 270/45/20 front and 275/50/20 rear

In my useless opinion most aftermarket wheels look atrocious. The O.E. Manufacturers knew that wheels should complement the complete look of the vehicle but 99% of aftermarket wheels are so obnoxious that when you see the vehicle you attention is stuck on wheels that obviously were never meant to be on the vehicle and instead of completing the vehicle they have become a distraction. That’s just my opinion expressed as well as my limited government school education allows me to.

I've got 305/35/20 all the way around on my 09 and that would look great on the ugly truck even just on the back.

When these wheels first came out I really liked them but then every kid in a 100mile radius of Houston had them so I can't stand them now

I have a good running 5.3 03 yukon with 140k miles you can modify to your hearts content if you ever run out of content 😅
