in the future a nether portal to the cyberpunk city could be disguised as a backlight for a big advertisement board! add some "floating" text and symbols in front of it, and it'll create a weird but futuristic background

I dig the exposed redstone look of the door! Remember those semitransparent gameboy cases that let you see the electronics inside? A stained glass facade on the mailbox to show off the bits and bobs might be cool too.

Love at the end of the video : Skizzleman falls from a high place. I can't remember if it was a Beef or an XB video, but they were saying how Skizz doesn't seem to know how ladders work because he keeps falling off of them and dying.

It was mentioned in Limited Life, and referenced in a recent stream (I think it may have been the ancient-city-raiding one). Although I side with Skizz regarding that incident, they really left an unexpected hazard for him.

I think this episode really shows off how the hermit permits can lead to even more creativity! Anything not covered by a permit, like the post office and horse dealership, is up for anyone to sell. Even the XP bank could cost diamonds if Imp & Skizz decide they wanted to charge. Find (or make) an unconventional demand and sell the supply; really, there's unlimited potential.

Hermitcraft honestly still stands as the most diverse player base, every hermit has a different style and different builds taking it slow or doing a doc and going insane from the start this is reminding me of the old days watching tfc was play in his mines diversity is amazing love you guys

I had an idea for your mailbox. What if you hooked up the mail received sound effect to your door so whenever you entered your base, if you have received mail while you were away, it would play the sound to alert you. I don't know how useful this would be, just think it is a cool idea.

Oooh, dunno how Cyberpunk it'd be (not a genre that I've ever paid attention to), but "smart robot AI butler" that greets you as you enter with updates on what time it is, are farms/lights running, is there mail, how much of X thing is in storage, etc could be a fun redstone project now that they've got the custom records pretty fully integrated...

You might want to try moving the water in that drop shaft. If you place the water about 3 blocks above your landing spot and use a sign to stop it from flowing down you end up with the best of all worlds. 1. You don't have to crawl out of a water whole even an inch deep. 2. You can instantly tell if something is blocking the water (unless it is light blue glass). 3. It looks really cool to just plop out of a tube at high speed and be unharmed.

I'm not sure that design is lag-proof though. I have a bit of a potato and it's not 100% on singleplayer--I'm sure multiplayer can reach the same amount of lag.

For the cyberpunk city you could try drawing inspiration from lego cyberpunk cities made by people irl since lego has a similar ascetic to Minecraft so stuff that works for lego will work for Minecraft to. Also it’s just fun looking at what people can do with a limited building pallet, and what they can pull off when they have to make a structurally sound building with the materials they have, it just makes for incredibly creative but grounded designs.

Hook up the lights on top of the building to a day/light sensor, you don't need the flickering during the day. This way you also don't have to reset it with server updates

You could have it also have different buttons for floors, making a red stone signal all the up, so if you hit floor 2 it would go to floor 2 and give you 4-8 seconds of a block to stand on to go to the next floor.

For the lamps turning off after a server restart, I believe Xisumavoid has added some sort of redstone block that can turn on and off with the server restarts with some data pack magic. So maybe ask him about it.

The Mail? The Mail comes everyday! I look out the window waiting for the moment it appears. And then when it does, I rush outside to see what I got! Sometimes it's little pieces of paper. Sometimes it's BIIIG boxes! No matter what, I always open it immediately. My favorite new pair of socks? I got it in the mail! A letter from a dear old friend? I got it in the mail. An assortment of the best bugs the world has to offer? Well, that one just appears in my house. Mashed skunk-cabbage? In the mail! My neighbor stuffed into a box and shipped to my house?! I would have added one extra factor to open the door. Wire up an AND-gate to a pressureplate and your sculk sensor. Make it so you need to stand on that plate when activating that sculk sesnor.

X has a Netherite upgrade Template. If you can't find your own, you might be able to work something out with him. I think Doc has one too, he'll take your Sand.
