Gabriel is passionate about working with other cyclists to help them ride longer, stronger, and with less injuries. Gabriel has been teaching yoga since 2001 and is also a specialist in Core Conditioning and mobility for athletes. Gabriel teaches around the world and takes his road bike with him where ever he goes. Gabriel leads cycling, hiking, and yoga retreats in the mountains in America and Europe.

Lots to like in this video. I feel like core work, plyometrics and weightlifting all play a part in making cyclists better cyclists.

I love core work videos, and actually doing the core work. What helps me is if the instructor shows the "wrong" way to do something compared to the "correct" way. For example, when Gabriel says "tuck the tail", I don't see a difference in his body position. It may be too subtle for me to notice, but exaggerating the right and wrong helps me (and of course, these videos should be geared towards only me). I'll hit this up today, as Monday is an off-bike day, and I do core work and stretch.

I have my FIRST cycling team practice starting this coming Thursday night! At my local Military Base! And it actually takes place inside the military base! At their training track! I'll be sure to do these core exercises on a daily basis!🙂❤️💪🚴

Fantastic! The yoga video that you and Gabriel provided earlier this year has become part of my weekly rotation, and I'm really happy to have a bit more core work to go with it.

What's the best way to integrate this with a training plan? Should you do it on easy training days, avoiding rest days, and if so before or after workouts? Does it even really matter as long as you do it at some point?

I would do this on recovery days but anything where you don’t have high intensity.

I agree with what Phil says and add that it depends on the training plan. If you are training 20-30 hrs doing this 1-2 times a week on easier days is ideal. If you trained 8-12 hours you could do a little more. In the off season 4-6 times a week is great... it'll keep ya warm through the winter!

hey. just found these great videos! i have been cycling for 3 years (gravel bike) on average probably 10 hours a week on my bike (a decent amount of climbing). had some weird perineum issues (odd feelings down there, at times difficulty peeing after riding for a few days). not really pain just odd sensation/feeling. so i had a bike fit (2 sessions) last August and a couple of saddle changes, but the sensation continued. so, i decided to take 5 months off until today. i did a super simply hour ride today just to feel it out. that 'feeling' was still there, very very slightly. any thoughts/tips on this? btw i'm a 48 yr old dude and went to a urologist, nothing wrong down there. uggg
