And as #1 will be Spain, so many great songs will still be left out 💔

They are great, so relaxed so focused on what they're hearing and seeing

The countries taking part get to design the lights, led screens, the camera work, etc. Some countries invest a lot in it, others less. But yes the year's organizers have a huge responsibility creating the stage, planning the hosting and middle acts, the camera work during the performances, etc. It's an enormous production. Some years it's better, other years a bit less so, but it's not too serious as we're sort of used to it not being perfect every year and it's just the way it is. Awkward moments with hosts and unentertaining middle acts are a part of Eurovision

@@lovisalindstrom7920 the roots are not Old Norse, they’re Old English, which was the language spoken by the Anglo-Saxons. The reason they are similar to Old Norse is because the Nordic languages are *also* Germanic languages.

And a lot of the mordern european languages derive from Latin, you can find roots from english and french especially and obviously Italian. Most European languages come from the same place :)

@@la.uralox not exactly, most modern European languages are either Germanic, Slavic, or Romance (from Latin), with a handful of other smaller roots. But Germanic and Slavic languages have very little derived from Latin. English is unique because it doesn’t fall into one family. Even though it is categorised as a Germanic language, over half of its lexicon is Romance (from Old French). It is a true mongrel language.

So much the better if you like it, it was made for it. The staging, the play of lights and the camera are super skillful and clever. But if I can give you my opinion as a Frenchman, I find that this performance is too caricatured French, it is really a production to please a foreign audience by activating the "nostalgia" of an idealized France of the 50s. And fortunately you don't understand the lyrics, cause they are quite weak, it's a "facebook" lament to have friends and be loved... As a Frenchman, I am really disappointed that it is this well-produced and well-formatted song that has brought the most points to France in recent years, our French artists are capable of doing so much more creative and more original...

I love France (especially Normandy / Bretagne / Pays de la Loire area) and we’ve been driving a lot around there. I often turn the radio on and I always find it interesting that basicly it’s really hard to hear anything but french hiphop on the radio 😄 Like is that all that everyone listens to? You should definitely send french hiphop to Eurovision!

As a non-french european, I find the anti french attitude of the anglo-saxons so irritating and arrogant

(UK here) I’d agree with you on this, I can see this doesn’t represent current French music but it absolutely delighted the UK. Why? Because despite all the tired old jokes in the right wing press that resonate with a particular generation, we are mostly suckers for anything French. Most people will put France up there as their favourite European country and have a lot of respect for the strong voice of the French people. It wasn’t just the French sound Barbara brought though, the passion and the performance were absolutely captivating. Stereotypes are infuriating I think for any country, and whist Voila might play on them a bit, it was a wonderful entry. Should have won!

In Italy trap is top streaming and selling, but when you see some entries and some song you can tell if it is ‘typical’ italian. This is the most french song the same way.

I believe the underlying reasons for the friction are based on a certain competitiveness between peers, opinions on who produces the best wine, the best cheese or the best bread. As well as the fashion and design competition. Then there are also some historical reasons, the acquisition of Corsica was a half-scam to the detriment of the Republic of Genoa, while the transfer of Nice and Savoy which were given in exchange for support against the Austrians left a bad taste in the mouth. to the inhabitants of the same regions. Мне просто тоскливо, что пыня тогда разрушил и мою жизнь и всех... но здесь , наверное, не место писать подробнее, здесь жизнерадостные люди, далёкие от всего ( чтож, их счастье 😏...) Ведь наверняка, они не будут слушать ни Måneskin, ни тот же Gasoline и разбираться в его содержании и антивоенном послании ( разве что, если им вдруг понадобится сотня- другая новых подписчиков) Так что, это были только мои эмоции, возвращение к тому, чего никогда больше не будет 😑...

Well, Eurovision fans must be very young then because in many Eurovision videos on RU-vid the comments saying that 2021 was one of the best editions.

Loved Fulenn... Although I did think the grand final performance was significantly worse than their original one sadly.
