I love "Hocus Pocus"! That was a movie my daughter and I shared together - that, along with the 1996 movie, "The Little Princess", were movies that were special just for us. :) In fact, it's funny that you have this posted up today, because just yesterday, I saw "Hocus Pocus 2" - and I felt that one was just "okay". But yeah, the original "Hocus Pocus" is definitely a fave!

After finishing the book I immediately found your video to see what you thought. I agree completely. I loved Part One (which isn't surprising since it's basically the same as the movie) but couldn't stand the "sequel". Thankfully, the movie sequel was great.

OKAY YAY. Happy that we are both on the same page but sad that that second half was such a disappointment! I want to be in the room when people made the decisions they did with that second half. I have a hard time imagining that Disney would allow one person to make such a huge decision on their own regarding such a popular and beloved franchise, especially with the movie sequel being SO different.

I know this video was posted a while ago lol but the book came out before the movie. Lol I was actually disappointed that the movie itself was very different from the book.
