2023 has gotten off to a slightly stressful start because, WE'RE MOVING HOUSE!! Now that everything is underway, I'm back with another weekly vlog - this week featured some much needed updates, the unboxing of a very exciting debut and a book unhaul as I started packing my shelves away - enjoy!

Wow what a thing to have sprung upon you that you have to move so quickly, but it looks like you've dealt with it admirably. Good luck with the move! I loved some of the ones you unhauled, but of course we all have different tastes. I really hated the Harry August book, so I was glad to see you unhaul that one though!!

A Town Called Solace was actually one of my favourite books of last year! I’ve now read all but one of Mary Lawsons books, I think they’re phenomenal but I do understand why the blurb would mislead you into thinking it’s more of a mystery❤

I told my sister a couple of years ago to watch Happy Valley and both she and her husband stayed up till four in the morning with the first season.😂If you don't mind subtitles you should love the Swedish series The Bridge.The main actress is excellent as the socially maladjusted but brilliant cop,and I liked the guy who plays her partner in seasons three and four.❤️

I relate so so much to your moving experience. We went through something very similar last year. I unhauled 18 boxes of books 😭 Sadly there isn't a lot rent in this area when you have a cat and kids. It took us about a month to find a place but it ended up being in the same neighborhood! So we still get to love on the same neighborhood kitties on our walks and somehow have 5 new kitties that come up to our door for food daily.

Ahh can definitely relate! We struggled to find somewhere with a cat, so can imagine it’s harder with kids as well! Glad we both managed to find somewhere! And I’m hoping for lots of new local cats at our new house haha

Hey Ciara , Lovely to see you back vlogging again ! NOT what you need at the beginning of the year ,letting agents and landlords arghhh and the chances are they wont sell and will put the rent up and carry on letting it out !!! BUT - however - its nice to see you taking it all in your positive stride , and whilst home has been where you have been for the last 2 years , a new chapter with a new door opening , with adventures abound await you , jay and Oscar . You Can Count On Me, Kinky Boots, The Big Chill, Crimes of the Heart, Calendar Girls, About a Boy, The Good House and Waking Ned Devine. Ohhhh and I’ve been obsessed with The Ice Storm recently. I saw it years ago but what a film!!

Yes, I quite understand. A local cat here: grey, slightly overweight, about 3 years old; has been making overtures to me lately. He's certainly feral and I'm not allowed to fed wild cats, so I've no idea what the next step is, or should be. Well, lately we've been blessed with fine weather so he should be okay on his own but it must be a difficult life - tho I don't imagine he's aware of comparative discomfort. However, cats - as I'm sure you're aware - are very protective of their freedom. Perhaps had they the words they could express that in language? idk, well I hope your new home is a lovely place.

That is exactly the kind of cat I’d be keeping! Oscar was a stray when we found him and gradually through feeding and spending time with him, he ended up as officially ours! He had a snipped ear which meant rspca (or similar) had trapped, neutered and released him as stray but he was so friendly and was definitely meant to be a pet - he’s much happier and healthier now which is great! It’s tough to know what to do with stray or feral animals but my inclination is always to try and take care of them!

I’m also not a huge fan of zombies BUT it’s 4 episodes in now and it hasn’t been too zombie heavy, in my opinion - it’s got some incredible story telling and character depth rather than being just about running from zombies!
