Really pleased to hear you're back on it, man. As someone who also battles with weight and goes up and down a lot, I really appreciate these videos. Rooting for you.

I've lost 22lbs since end of May. Not quite your speed but a loss is a loss. Now I need to keep it off and tone, I want my defined tummy back. Well done Ant. Keep up the good work 👏 ❤

Les goooo. I actually started my weight loss journey because of you starting one. We were around the same weight and i took you starting yours as kinda a kick in the ass. I also fasted as a way to lose weight. Cause i didnt trust myself with cutting down my portions right out of the gate. So i just decided to cut them entirely. I did it in a much less healthy way then you are tho. I started 224 last year and now Im 171. Ive been 171 - 174 for all of 2024 and it honestly was so worth it. I hope you stick to it this time. Best of luck Anthony!!!

Great job, Ant! I’m on a similar journey myself. Like you, I reached a point where I had to change my habits. Since Monday last week, I went from 235 to 226. Videos like these help motivate me to keep going ❤ Keep it up, you can do this!

Great job. From experience, going too intense doesn't give enough time to rest and risks burnout. You could try 2 days on, one day off, 3 days on, 1 day off etc if that starts happening.

Watching this video late, but fuck yeah Ant, awesome to hear you're back on it. This whole health series is one of my favorite things you do, I love your TLOU content of course but I think you offer good advice and perspective for anyone trying to change habits, dietary or not. I'm trying to gain some weight and get a bit more fit as I'm a skinny twig atm and a lot of the core ideas around habits are the same. Glad the fasting is working for you, but be cautious with it as the more weight you lose the more difficult that day may become. Though I'm not an expert on the topic by any means.

LETS GO ANTHONY!!!!! Its important to rely on discipline instead of motivation. (although motivation helps). That being said, as a gamer as well, its hard to stay focused on the grind sometimes. I will stay rooting for you sir!

The Stoic approach towards virtue changed completely my view on working out and eating healthy. When you stop focusing in the external outcomes (having a healthy body) and rather pay attention to the process of developing the virtues of courage, endurance and discipline through exercising you'll find it's easier and way more rewarding to keep it up with the hard work. You should give it a try Anthony. It works.

Awesome to hear you’re back into it! Have you considered starting a lifting program? Or another suggestion to keep things interesting is get a real bike or walk outside. Listen to music or a podcast and get fresh air is always nice!

Cool stuff, man. If I understand correctly, what you're doing is intermittent fasting. In theory, if you push through the second day of fasting, the third day will actually be easier. But what's important with IF, just like with diet and exercise, is finding a routine that fits you and I'm glad that you found yours.

Nice job man. I think I'm also going to try a fast day, to see how it works for me. I've been losing my way with food the past month or so and eating a lot of crap. But ive been jogging everyday. And lifting weights. I just need to have better control when it comes to food. I was 220 at the beginning of this year and at the moment I'm 194 Ib. My goal is to get to 180 or 175 by the end of the year. So keep at it man, and I will too

Hopefully you dont burnout with the weights. Doing 2 then a rest day, then 3 ans then a rest day. You could time it where it lines up with your fast day. Glad to hear you back working on your health. Its hard.

That's awesome, bro. I find one day at a time is key (though I realize it's much easier than done!). Very cool

Dude Monday no food full fast is actually very unhealthy so atleast eat atleast 2 times a day that also good Btw again very good progression be because it also inspires me also Edit - ok so a lot of you are replying me that fasting is good yes I agree and as a Muslim I can totally relate because of Ramadan where we fast every day straight for 30 days where after 4 or 5 AM every day to 7 or 7:30 PM we have to do fast so I know what it's like but what I mean is exactly this Ramadan routine because atleast eating once is not bad and don't affect especially if we eat healthy food so hopefully it clarifies you all and thanks for replying i learned a lot.
@Kdsheridan102
@Kdsheridan102 Месяц назад
Fasting is not unhealthy at all, and in particular when your body has a lot of stored fats (sorry ant haha) it’s easy for the body to use those for energy and as ant said he doesn’t train on fasting days. Also another thing is that fasting can also reset appetite, for people who have trouble with eating this can make it easy to stick to diets.

@@Kdsheridan102 yep i agree as a muslim who do fast 30 days consequently in ramadan month i can understand but also when it's like you feel something unhealthy then atleast we should eat lunch or healthy stuff 1 time so atleast the body have something for the all day that's all.

People do intermittent fasting where they don't eat past a certain time. It's difficult when you start but it gets you trained on when you're eating so you're not craving much during those times. Not everyone is good on diets and not every diet is good for people. Try what works.
@Kerazzy.
@Kerazzy. Месяц назад
I do intermittent fasting and it has curbed my cravings so when I eat, I don't over eat. Doesn't work for everyone but it's working for me.
