SIMPLE SALAD DRESSING:
juice of one whole lemon
1 tsp olive oil
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
salt and pepper
* add dried apricots, parmesan cheese, and plantain strips to salad it is so yummy!*
SHOYU SAUCE: recipespy.blogs...
FOR FISH
I use tilapia fish
season fish with salt + pepper, garlic powder to taste, and
add about 1/4th cup herb seasoned bread crumbs or panko and rub onto fish evenly
air fry on 375 for about 15 minutes
FOR CAULI RICE
Sautee cauli rice and add an egg to scramble it helps so much with texture
FOR VEG
cook after done cooking chicken to add flavor and season with salt + pepper, and garlic powder

You know I think it’s so hard because unlike if you had a smoking habit you wanted to quit or drinking alcohol you could just eliminate it and remove the temptation… but to live you have to have food so your temptations are always around you and you have to push through them … so that adds an elimination that can cause it to me more challenging but doable I am not completely there yet but again we are all a work in progress we just have times when we give ourselves some grace and try again …. We are here for each other and that really helps

I believe food is an addiction like nicotine and alcohol none can be overcome by mear elimination. It takes alot of work, determination and mindset changes.

I totally agree! And the thing is food is an addiction in a way it sends chemicals to our brain that says yes more more just as smoking and drinking does but like you said it’s apart of survival is to eat and our options around us is mostly lower quality but taste super good food that is higher in calories and fat which is also usually higher calories. So yes it is hard to navigate through that reality but it’s possible and we are better of for it 💚 I’m cheering you on through your journey also 😊

I did Keto four years ago and lost a ton of weight in about four months. Then I took a break from it because it became too much for me and I got tired of not being able to eat rice and beans, etc. it wasn’t sustainable for me with having a large family, six kids. I gained it ALL back plus some. I decided to continue with my intermittent fasting and continue with two meals a day. You’re not consistently thinking about food! IF helps with that! Now I’m just doing that with low carb where I’m enjoying all the foods and I’m feeling 100% better! Weight loss is slower, but my body is loving it! I’m cheering for you! We can do it together! I love your videos! ♥️

Honestly, intermittent fasting is what helped me gain control. It doesn't work for everyone, and the first month or so was hard, but it helped me be much less food driven. That being said, most of my weight was lost with simply calorie deficit, but the IF helped me gain a new perception (and appreciation) of food.

I totally understand! I feel SO much better when I eat better and drink water like I’m supposed to. It can definitely be a struggle though 😩 we can do this definitely!!! 🙌🙌❤️❤️ I have been working on my weight loss for a good 2 years. I wanted to add that years of eating this way and the relationship we have with food is essentially years of a bad habit to break. Breaking bad habits take awhile but with dedication, persistency and a little grace it can be done! Can’t wait to get over my laryngitis so that I can get motivated again, too!

That drink is a macchiato lmao that’s actually how it’s supposed to look even Starbucks does. And you can tell them the exact measurements of Milk you’d like. For instance I get 4 creams 4 vanilla shorts and 4 sugars

I feel ya....😘 the time frame you "Should" compare is that you have been living this lifestyle for a "longtime" you should see that as a Good thing... ..your still here, your still trying, your doing good, you never quit trying...and that's a true accomplishment👏congratulatations your living a "healthy lifestyle" That's The correct Goal. Most people can hurry and lose all the weight...but they can't find balance and then a year later they gain it all back! You my beautiful queen have found balance. Finding balance and learning healthy habbits is the hardest part ...once you figure that out and can live that life, the rest will follow with a little consistancy!😘You Got this, I got this, we all got this! Such a great message! My weight loss is happening slowly but it's still happening. I had to change my mindset about fitness and weight loss to make it work for me. While I want to look better, being in good health and making sure I have good mobility as I age are what are driving me now and has definitely helped me stay disciplined.

At some point… aldi had these key chains to hold your quarter. It’s a life saver lol cause you can never find a quarter when you need it… I have had those days too many LOL. Then one time I forgot to put my quarter back LOL… but haven’t forgot since LOL

I love that Joey is so supportive and does this with you. You both are so inspiring. My husband is supportive but he is on the opposite spectrum. He has trouble gaining and keeping his weight up. Well… you definitely put this out at EXACTLY the right time. I binged a little on pizza last night, and man, it’s so easy to beat yourself up instead of just accepting it and moving forward. I’ve been stuck in the most frrrrrrustrating plateau for a couple weeks which doesn’t help. Great video. Love your vibe so much.

I really had to realize it’s not the one night that slows things down it’s truly letting that guilt carry on for days or weeks that does it. So one day it’s done and move along for the rest of the month and changes will show ✨

I feel you so much! I lost 30 pounds and have 20 more to go but I’ve been stuck on the same weight for 4 weeks. Going on 5. I don’t even know what changes to make at this point. So frustrating. I guess all we can do is stay consistent. And pizza never hurt nobody 🙌❤️

I honestly related to everything in this video. It’s amazing how much better we feel both physically and mentally when we eat healthier and have some movement every day. I feel like I’ve been losing and gaining the same 20 pounds now for the past six months and I know it’s because I’m not doing what I need to do. Snacking a little too much lol. So yeah, not a total reset, but definitely time to tighten the reins a little bit. Last Friday a close online friend passed away from complications from being overweight so I want to finish my journey in her memory and make her proud. As always I just want to thank you for your openness and willingness to be vulnerable and your constant positivity! And you are right, we can do this!

Changing your lifestyle at your age will truly make such a difference as you get older. Once you hit your 40s-50s it’s so much more difficult. It’s doable but tough. I’m in the process at 52. Not much weight to loss, just want a healthy lifestyle change. 🌺🌸

This was a great video! It reminds me that everyone accept me, isnt always staying on track with their weight loss journey & have to struggle to get back at it. I have been playing this game my whole life. Up & down with my weight. Just when I think I did it with a significant weight loss and I will NEVER let myself gain and get to that high weight I started at, ever again....It sneaks up on me and I have to start all over again. It is HARD, But as u were explaining, I just feel sooooo much better when I am focusing on being healthier! You fear you will always have to think about your weight, and sadly, majority of us have to! If we don't think about it and constantly work at it, we gain it back. It is sad that we have to focus on it so much, but hopefully one day it clicks and just becomes natural to eat healthy. That's the goal anyway. Really, this weight loss journey consumes over 60% of my day! And I have to say.....25 years ago, I didn't have RU-vid influencers to help keep me motivated And give me new fresh ideas every day. You are very lucky you have Joey to back u up & join you on this journey. I am always with thin peeps that just do not really have to worry about what they eat, and tell me I am beautiful the way I am, just come have a party weekend, eat & drink!!! or eat the damn cake, let's go out to dinner!!!! So, that makes it all that much harder. But......I am doing it and will continue to do it, till I hit my goal weight and learn to maintain it! Best wishes to you both! I’m exactly where you are…. Thank you for the encouragement! I’m sick with a cold and fever and that does not help my motivation because I just don’t have the energy …. but I can at least eat well during these days while I rest. I always feel better on the days that I get out and get a good energetic walk or swim, but I need to listen to my body and rest.

Thank you for posting this! I was so humiliated a few days ago when someone in line behind me at the store asked me how far along I was. It made me realize I need to restart my journey. I kind of been depressed about my weight over the last year and just gave up on trying. I need to make small changes and move more. I got this!

I am 63 yrs old and it is a CONSTANT battle.....trying to stay on a healthy eating train....but sometimes you do fall off and it is hard to get back on.....but honestly, when I do eat healthy and eliminate all the bad stuff, (my go to is candy LOL), I feel so much better and have a better mindset in daily life...you are such an inspiration and I love your food ideas.....keep up the great work and wonderful videos.

I dont go to dunkin donuts anymore, they never make my coffee right. So I go to Starbucks, I always have better experience and better coffee 😌

Great Video Amanda! I'm so on the same page EVERY day is consumed with Weight loss . I have lost 35 more pounds but every day is watch what you eat oh I can't have that if I slip up I'm panicking the scale!!! But I've come to that realization that I'm not like most and I'm okay with that I try!!! Im limited with my exercise due to feet issues 😩 I'm envious to watch you walk use to be my favorite activity. It is a journey and some times u need to stop for a rest. NOW u are ready to carry on the journey. Keep going and you WILL get to where u want to be! Do great food recipies at home for date night. Candles and special things to keep on track! U cna do it!

I needed this video , I do t know what happened been I have been a little off with both my diet and exercise , I will do good and not see results and get discouraged, it’s such a struggle , I have had weight issues since I was young, I’m 42 now and I just want to feel good , thank you for sharing it helps so much thank you .

Ugh preach it! I have been in a weightloss mindset my entire life. I'm not good enough if im fat etc. Even when I was thin my butt wasn't big enough 🙄 I was on track and not losing so I gave up. Now I'm frickin gaining. Grrr. Gotta make it about health for myself too. We got this!

I honestly feel like I needed to hear your message of being able to continue the process of losing weight. I have lost 30 pounds in the last 2 years. I have felt discouraged cause I haven't lost more, but watching your video really gave me the motivation to keep going on my journey. Thank you for your inspirational words.

Right there with ya! I decided to eat what makes me FEEL good and the weight has been coming off slow & steady! Food & nutrition can be so simple without the emotional parts.. finding that balance is key! Love that you're focusing on treating yourself to more fun dates too!

I’m on a very personal Dunkin’ Donuts strike. I have been to many DD’s and I can count how many times I actually received good customer service on one hand. Not to mention my coffee usually tastes like crap. Costumer service is EVERYTHING to me. So although Starbucks is more expensive it’s worth it imo. I can’t really recall them messing up my drink order and if they do they don’t make you feel like crap for asking to fix it. No more DD’s for me. Also I wanted to comment on the video where Joey got a haircut and they messed him up. The same thing was happening to my boyfriend when he would go to hair cuttery places. After a really bad haircut I told him to find a good barber and now his hair cuts are on point!
