Thank you for being so real!!! Honestly, you’re one of the best vids I’ve come across. No drama haha. Love your honesty!

I'm glad you uploaded, I found you last month when I was doing my own initial research and I'm now in the initial steps for VSG. I appreciate your videos so much.

That's awesome! Do you have a surgery date yet?
@WarnerSisterDot89
@WarnerSisterDot89 3 года назад
@@1FatBeet no, I'm working on getting my nutritional and psychological evaluations first, hopefully soon, and then there is another set of appointments with the surgeon and a preop nutrition class after that. I'm hoping it will be end of May-ish.

@@WarnerSisterDot89 Yeah, the process is a bit more involved when doing it in the states. I think the extra steps are helpful, though!

Like Meghan I’m doing VSG. I’m done with everything except the nutrition classes. I have two more and a final appointment with surgeons office June 14. That is when they will schedule surgery. I started the pre op diet March 1st just to get used to it. I’m down 31 pounds so far. Thanks for posting.

Hey Steph, I can fully sympathise with you and the pup, while I was in surgery my two big dogs had a major fight and ended up at the vet. On arriving home I had to change dressings and put ear drops in, we also have another 3 little dogs. My son and his new wife moved in the same day with their pug, so 6 dogs all up. We also have a horse and 10 alpaca and after I had been home three days I was back to feeding them. My big victory was being able to put 3 eggs in each bra cup when I go feed the chickens , so no straining and the four boob look has gone. You look really good, I too am struggling with what to eat, especially when you don’t feel hungry. I struggled when my daughter in law bought home a block of chocolate, I knew I would get sick if I ate any but I was so happy when she ate the last today. This was another good video keep going. Lorraine in Australia.

Good to see you. Nicely articulated NSVs and your description of emotional eating with the Oreos was powerful. Keep up the good work and tfs :)

What I’m wondering about is if the hospital is not providing something to overcome emotional eating. Like sessions with a pysychologist e.g. I’m struggling with this myself and wondering if you don’t need additional support with this. How would you see the in retrospective?

What hospital did you get your surgery? Who was your doctor?

I love your videos! You are so delightful to listen to. I appreciate your humor and honesty. I have a co worker who could benefit from WLS. I am scared to approach her out of offending. Your videos may help!

Omg thank you, you're too kind! It's a difficult conversation to have and should be initiated by the individual for sure. I can also say that personally I was against surgery for years until one day I realized on my own that I needed extra help and I was ready to look into it as an option.

New subscriber here. Love your honesty..humour and commentary. Your nsv are amazing. I'm 3 months post OP and doing well. It sounds silly but one of my best nsv was having my bathrobe wrap all the way around me🤣🤷‍♀️. I'm starting the hair loss now and it's the thing that freaks me out the most.. saggy skin already which surprisingly annoys me less than I thought as long as I don't get rash..I was wondering if you ever struggled with constipation. It's an endless battle for me so far😱...really looking forward to your next video💜
@1FatBeet
@1FatBeet 3 года назад
Yesss! Being able to tie my bathrobe was definitely one of mine as well! It's the little things that add up to making a big difference. I definitely have struggled with constipation on and off since surgery. Just when I think I've found a good routine and things are normal again, it'll come back around. I take fiber gummies to help keep things regular, and honestly I'll grab some sugar free stuff sometimes to get things moving haha.

@@1FatBeet thanks so much for the reply and sugar free suggestion. I'm basically taking stool softener every third or second day lol..Continued success and look forward to next video. Enjoy your puppy!

I feel you about the leg Crossing I know I haven’t crossed my legs in over 35 years my surgery is May 26 I’m a little nervous but excited at the same time I’m ready to start walking into better health. I’m excited to start losing weight to be able to fit in a regular chair if I go to a friends house and they asked me to have a seat I have already scope the seat out to know that I can’t fit in the chair and I’ll act like I’ve been sitting all day and I don’t feel like sitting so I’ll stand but I was really too embarrassed because I know the chair wouldn’t fit or I wouldn’t fit the chair to say.. I have always been the biggest out there my friends and my siblings/ family I’m the biggest person always and I’m embarrassed about that I don’t know how I can’t even picture myself being anything under 300 because I’ve been here so long..
@1FatBeet

I FEEL this. I did the chair thing the other day - I was at the doctor's office and I gravitated to the wide chair in the room. I realized it's way too big for me now and I could sit in the normal waiting room chair without concern, but my brain doesn't register that easily yet. I still catch myself thinking I'm over 300 lbs. It's a lot of change but it has been SO worth it so far.
