Hi everyone! I am Beverly and will be traveling with my side kick Cooper as we navigate life in our ford transit while seeing the beautiful country and having some adventures. This is just a brief intro and the adventure begins.
MAAM YOU HAVE NO NEED TO APOLOGIZE!!!! YOUR DOING A GREAT JOB AND ARE A VERY BRAVE LADY!!!!!! YOU JUST DO YOU!!! My son was hit on his motorcycle on thanksgiving. He was a MAN!! a husband..a brother..a son a daddy...2 babies!!! worked hard everyday!!!! He had severe traumatic brain injury... in hospitol 4 months!! Hes now BLIND..can barely speak..slowly...he can walk! He now functions at about 5 year old level. Still being tube fed!!!!!! So please dont be to hard on yourself!!!!! You are awesome!!!!!!!
I really wish I could just hug you, My heart truly goes out to you and your son and family. Such a horrible thing and as a parent myself I can’t imagine the pain that brought you. I was not injured to that degree not even close to it. I have joined some support groups through facebook that did help. It’s a very depressing, isolating struggle on top of all the physical and cognitive struggles. Your son and family are in my prayers. Thank you for watching and I hope you stick around on my journey.
Hi Beverly I just found your channel great video and great van.I am 63 been disabled since I was 51 after a work injury then I had an ugly Cancer battle but I am still here.I have a turtle top 1999 Ford E 150. I live with my mom to care for her not sure if I will do even local camping for now due to her health. My mom does the eye injections for macular deterioration my grandmother had it as well. I inherited my mom’s hearing loss hopefully not the eye problem later.Happy trails.
Sending you lots of positive energy! I understand when caring for others as well as your own person health issues becomes a priority and I wish you all the best best. Maybe you can’t get out locally now but perhaps just setting up a few fun things to have a “driveway” escape for the time being is an option. Somewhere you can gradually add things you love and just go out and dream while just recharging. Just a thought. 😊
I don’t know how you ended up on my feed it I’m so glad it did!!! I’ve always wanted to travel and am a total foodie too so I’m excited to see your journey. I haven’t had health struggles but I am very familiar with mental health struggles. Thank you for sharing your story and Cooper he’s adorable!
Cooper says thanks! 🐾 I am glad you are here to enjoy the journey with me. We all have something we struggle with and I am sending you positive vibes and hope you have a happy beautiful day! Yes I love food! Let’s travel and eat!!!
You don't have to go on some big grand adventure. There are so many of those! What I would like to see is everyday stuff. How and where you do your self care, morning routine, your meals and dish washing. Where you shower. What you do to pass the day. Where you go. But do be careful of creeps. Hopefully your routine changes day to day. There really is nothing about daily living in a van. How do you deal with the Summer heat?! I can't even imagine! Glamour is great for passing the time, but since I am considering this so I want real life in a van...have the van, an old one, still under mechanical repair after a year and a half! And I am very broken too. But I won't give up my dream.❤
A mushroom with hair😂 First time I've heard anyone describe themselves that way. You are as real as they get Beverly🤙 I'm so happy you and Cooper came thru on my recommendations and I hit the play now button. Sorry you had to go thru that car accident, so glad you are still here with us😊 I love your No Build💯 🌟New Subscriber🌟
Carolyn's RV life on RU-vid might be helpful to you. My advice: Comments will get you more RU-vid dollars. But there will be great comments, and there will be horrific comments. Just remember, comments bring dollars. Delete the bad and ban the offender. Appreciate the good hearts. Tell people you want good comments. Never talk to us about the bad ones bc people will quit watching. Remember, delete and ban the bad. Also forget the bad. Talk to the good. There are people who will be helped by listening to you. Keep going.
Thanks for the comment about the comments. I didn’t realize they helped. I just like engaging with everyone. I do realize that I won’t be everyone’s cup of tea and that some will try to deliberately hurt me with their words. When you open yourself up on a social platform you really do open yourself up to so much. I will definitely delete and block those trying to use it as a bridge to spread hateful, disrespectful or ugly intentions towards myself or anyone else. 😊
Hello Beverly, I'm glad I found your channel, I also have 3 grown boys out on their own, I have retina problems and health problems, not working, and just took a break from working on my no build van camper Lol, I had to feed my dogs so I sat down to see if anything new popped up and your video was at the end of the last video I watched. I will be following your awesome van adventures, I hope you have a great time. Keep smiling!
Thanks for sharing your story Beverly you remind me of me I’m a recovering domestic violence survivor who has permanent injuries including brain damage & I had to learn how to talk again so I know how you’re feeling & I’ve been in a car accident too I’m also a van lifer who travels with my fur baby 🐈⬛ & she’s got exactly the same bed as Cooper I love 💗 your van 🚐 I enjoy watching your videos you’re not an idiot you’re a lovely person & you need to think only nice thoughts about yourself lol I know if I can recover from almost dying you can too I’ll always have to live with some permanent injuries but I have learned to do things differently to suit my injuries the trick is to remain positive & to think positive thoughts about yourself so instead of thinking I’m dumb I can’t do this you need to change your mindset to I can do this even though it might take me awhile to get there with practice but that’s okay I’ll do this because I want to & because I’m worth it & most importantly you must be patient with yourself you’ll get there Beverly & I don’t know if you know this but we can’t see your injuries you’re very attractive lol God bless you Cooper & your van 🚐
So glad to see you on my feed. Love your personality. Being real is better than any polished nonsense! I'm 54 this year and feel stuck sometimes in these 4 walls. I would love to travel and I've always dreamt about living in a van. My husband is disabled and so for now it's not to be. I am a cancer survivor and I have lymphedema and right now I just feel blessed to still work. I'm excited to journey with you and thankful you decided to bring us along with you. You look beautiful not "a mushroom with hair", lol.Cooper is a cutie and probably a better friend than most humans. My lil buddy passed 2 yrs ago. 😢 I agree that everyone needs a hug from their kids. I have 2 sons and mine are 28 and 38 and still my "kids". 😊 Sending you lots of blessings and look forward to your adventures. ❤
Thank you for sharing and I know how it is to feel trapped and go through medical issues as well as take care of others. I am so glad that you found my channel and I hope you enjoy the journey because I am happy to have you with me. Live through my lens if that’s all you can do at the moment. I did that for decades with others honestly. I love RU-vid for that ability. Sending well wishes to both you and your husband.
I love what you did with the ceiliing. It will be a sad thing to get rid of it to put up a fan, but I understand how important having a fan is. Bless you, hon! I wish you the very best with life and hope to see more of your vids.
You’re doing great and I prefer someone turning in the camera and talking. No editing or fancy intros necessary. I can’t edit either. Just turn on the camera and shoot since 2015.❤❤❤❤
That’s awesome! I would like to at least do a little basic editing where I don’t repeat myself a million times but nothing too fancy. I want to try to keep it as original and organic as I can but would love to show several parts of my day in one video. 😊
Thank you just one step at a time while solving each requirement. Plus I did have the minivan for the last year prior so I was able to use a lot of what I had accumulated while in it. 😊
Wow...sounds to familiar. I was rear-ended in my minivan to a d suffer the same problems😔😔😔. Hopefully, I will talk about my incident someday. Building out my van and documenting on my channel is helping me with the depression and overcoming the fear and anxiety. Keep motivating yourself...I DO EVERYDAY!!
I am sorry to hear you also were injured in a car accident. Hopefully you are healing well. It can be life changing for sure. I haven’t discussed the accident except to say I was injured maybe one day I will as well.
Thank you for sharing with us. Honey you don't look like a mushroom with hair. You are beautiful. Oh fire ants are horrible. Some got me and my gosh it stung for hours.
That's a SWEET setup. Nicer than some of those "fancy" van dwellers. Yours is comfy and just beautiful! Can't wait to see your adventures. Just subscribed :)
Hi Beverly I video just come up thank you for sharing your story and by the way you are beautiful and I pray you will get a job you are doing a great job love and blessings from Australia 😊♥️
Girlfriend you're gonna watch yourself evolve. I used to live in SRQ and had three eye Drs. there. I know SRQ and Ɓradentucky well. The Park sounds wonderful. I also had 2 major car accidents while there. Chiropracter Dr. Jeffrey Hudson and the Drs at SRQ memorial put me back together. Boy could we talk! Anyway I had to leave and go to Boston to have multiple eye surgeries. Double Corneal Transplants. I live in Hawaii right now, but am trying to escape back to the mainland. There's quite a few disabled van lifers out there, so don't feel you're all alone. I really would like to bebop around Sarasota and visit some places, and finish some unfinnished business. The whole back, neck, brain thing I get it. I really do. Stay grateful, relaxed (let God do the heavy lifting) and watch comedy! chat back at cha soon. I took one glance at your van and said, yeah that's my style! One step at a time we'll both get where we're going.😊 aloha
Thank you for the kind words and I am sorry to hear about your accidents and eye surgeries! Even though you are trying to escape back to the mainland I bet Hawaii is amazing!!!
@BeverlyAdventures lmao at the Hawai'i remark. I'm writing a book about my experiences here for the past 7 years. On the surface, it's beautiful. Nature always is. But the people are another story. It is multicultural and very much like a 3rd world nation. It's just like an abusive husband. It sucks you in with charm. That's what you are shown as a short-term tourist. But if you decide to move here, you take a beating daily. I want white people and black people to know the truth about what it's really like, as we are in the deep minority. The only people who do well here are the Zuckerberg and Oprah types. If you can buy enough land and isolate yourself, great. But for non millionaire, Billionaires, JUST NO. Many spend a fortune only to move back to the mainland for a laundry list of reasons. You can't imagine, no one can, because it's kept very hush hush. It's a trip, van-life ain't nothing compared to this. I get a step closer each day to figuring out how to get out of here. But on a more positive note, and I am by nature a very positive, upbeat person, a lot of things are going well for me. I hope it's the same for you.
Thanks for sharing your story. I will be 60 this Nov and I was in a terrible roll over end over end then side ways. It was a brand new extended cab pick up. My boyfriends truck. I was driving. This was over 20 yrs ago. I was on life support due to my traumatic brain injury. They found a small tumor non operable also during my stay. I had seizures all the time and I talk and constantly forget what I'm talking about and my train of thought isn't there. Its sad I graduated college on the deans list 4.0 GPA I am thankful I was able to get accepted on SSDI right away. So I totally understand what your talking about. Being on deaths door brought me to experience some things in life most people aren't fortunate to. That will come on my page. I have a page mostly animals I rescue them however im moving to Mississippi to do RV Living. Im selling my parents house they passed. Can't wait excited.
My heart goes out to you and I am so sorry that you have had to go through all that. I am praying you are able to find a great rv and have a wonderful time in Mississippi and maybe we will cross paths on the road. Sending you a have a great day hug!
So glad you posted. You got this! This journey will teach you that you are strong! You don’t have to edit your videos…just roll with what you know. You will learn the rest. Just a recording tip to help you, turn your phone sideways to give the full view and those black boxes on the side will disappear. Looking forward to your adventures! I’m also going to follow you from my Van life channel…ReinVanting Renee. I’m in Florida as well.
Thanks for sharing. By sharing your life and experiences during your travels (local and not), you helps others doing it or considering it. For instance, where do you shower in FL? Are there truck stations that you can stay at? I hear you don’t have to live in FL to be considered an FL resident. Did you know that? I hope that helps you with your insurance situation. Be well and safe travels.
Thanks! Yes, I already was a resident of Florida for several years prior to the vanlife. 😊 Many options for showers. Planet fitness or any gym, public pools, beaches, campgrounds, sponge baths, there are even bath wipes you can get that are like they use for patients in the hospital or bedridden and honestly I have even used a hose at a park before obviously still had a swimsuit on. Where there is will there is always a way. Just have to think outside the box at times. 😊
I have protein S diffiency and had an ocular occlusion about 7 years ago in my right eye. I've had retina tear twice and get injections every 8 weeks. When I saw your video I thought, oh great another YT grifter. But then I watched this video. Good to see you and good luck with everything.
Thanks for sharing your story and I hope everything goes well and you can keep the Vision you have. I have to say I am concerned on what about my video prior to watching it gave you that impression? I certainly don’t want to mislead or give anyone that perception. I am glad that you gave it a chance because I certainly don’t want to be associated in that manner.
@@BeverlyAdventures It was not this video. It was another one. There are a lot on YT who whine and cry and try to get $$ from people. I hate it and there are many. That is why I went to first video. What a horrible hand you have been dealt. Of course things are pretty shitty here and all around the world. You did nothing wrong. It's the platform. I have often thought of starting a channel to share my knowledge but it's a brutal place to be. Keep up. I'm curious to learn more about you.
Hey my husband is a brain injury and he’s came from not being able to add 1&1 to drive a car again so keep your head up it gets better and you really have a beautiful face
My continued thoughts and prayers for your husband to keep improving daily!! That’s amazing!!! I am sure a huge thanks are in store for you too, it can be so hard for everyone. Thank you for the compliment 😊 I hope you stick around for the journey and continue to enjoy watching me stumble my way through, always get back up. 😂
I've suffered TBI many times due to head trauma. If it weren't for serrapeptase enzymes and medicinal mushrooms, I don't think I would still be present and functional. They aren't cheap, but they are worth it if you want to stick around in this physical realm.
OMG, our lives are so similar m I just finally settled my insurance lawsuit. I was injured in a traffic accident on Panama City Beach. I suffered back neck and a TBI. I understand the difficulties associated with a TBI. I'm hoping to either get a van, possibly a Transit, or maybe a live aboard boat. I'm also living off a very limited income. I look forward to more of your content as you are able..
I am sorry to hear about your car accident and sounds like you are a bit of a mermaid 🧜♀️ with the water and land. I don’t blame you one bit! I hope you continue to heal and I am sure you will choose perfectly. 😃
@@BeverlyAdventures Thank you, I wish you a speedy recovery as well. I'm currently in Maryland, so if you're up this way, it would be awesome to meet. If I go back to land, I will probably head towards Quartzite AZ for the winter and to higher elevation for the summer months. That's the key for summers living in a vehicle. I used to live in my Kia Rio and would travel to Leadville Colorado and stayed on BLM land. Best wishes
Im so glad this popped up in my feed. Girl you are living the dream and it will help massively with your healing journey and youre so brave just doing it. Im 45 in Scotland and want nothing more than to live the van life before i get past it but have zero idea how to go about it. Your van is so cosy and cooper is adorable, everythings better with a dog ❤ new subscriber here.
That’s for subscribing and the comments and cooper also says thanks! 🐾 I do believe the healing journey really does have to come from within as well now. I hope you can achieve your wish and do the vanlife and if nothing more then renting a minivan or suv and stopping at goodwill or Walmart grabbing some stuff and go on a short adventure perhaps. 😊
Hi Beverly, Love your van and Cooper. I predict that by the end of summer, you will be monetized by RU-vid. You've got what it takes to be successful! So glad to have found you. Looking forward to your travels. Take care and stay safe.
That’s some very kind words! Cooper 🐾 says thank you and so do I. That would be really cool to ever get monetized on RU-vid considering I don’t even know what I should have to be successful. 😂 I am just myself but that’s a pretty ambitious thought by the end of summer. Hopefully everyone enjoys the journey with me and I am blessed to just have others interested in watching me in the first place so big thanks!
Thank you! I have no desire to be cinematic . I like keeping it real but having the ability to show you portions of my day etc instead of just a sit and shoot. The can is the mid roof so it’s 6 foot interior height. 😊
Hi Beverly, came upon your channel today and subscribed. I like your build. I have a new-to-me Promaster and have the same kitchen from Ikea! I was looking for an email for you to send you some information on a Max Air fan. How can I reach you, or is it okay to post it here? I live on the other side of Florida. Wishing you safety and healing on your journey.
Well, I'd say you're off to a pretty solid start. As you said, foundation. You build on foundations. And, the nice thing is that you have the mobility to go where you need to in order to pick and choose what you add to your van and your experience.
Picaridin insect repellent on Amazon. It keeps mosquitos and those pesky noseums away! Only thing I have ever found that works for me. 😊 Thank you for your kind words! I hope you stick around and enjoy the journey!
Thank you for sharing! I can't wait to follow your adventures. For only 2 weeks, you have done a ton! What kind of bug lotion are you using (not promoting)?
Thanks! It’s definitely a process. The lotion is on Amazon and probably other places called picaridin insect repellent the lotion version. Works amazingly well!!! Highly recommend 😃
What about doordash, uber eats, that kinda thing for extra income?🤔 just a suggestion ❤ I'm from st.petersburg FL (i understand about the heat) but living in upstate NY currently.... i want to do vanlife soooo bad I'm currently saving up for a van. Keep up the videos 👍 God bless you 🙏 wish you the best
Those are all great options. Gig work is a great way to make extra income while on the road but I think it would be easier with a smaller vehicle like a minivan, etc. It’s always great to have options! 😊 I hope your dreams come true for you and remember things don’t have to be perfect when you make that actual leap. Have a great day! 😊
All women are beautiful! It’s what’s on the inside though that truly matters. Thanks for the compliment though and hope you stick around to follow the journey! 😃
has that person who caused that injury payed any compensation money to you ? you can't work anymore because of that injury. how about lifequality with the injury you mentioned ?
You just need you a sweet man that will help you heal from what life has done. Youve got more than me. Im gonna be living out of a toyota matrix and traveling with my cat mister g. Not ideal but im thankful for what i do have. Do you enjoy fishing
Hopefully you and your cat can have a grand adventure! Haven’t been fishing in years but enjoyed it as a kid. Who knows maybe my journey will include some down the road.
Thank you! I hope to share so much more and hope everyone follows their dreams no matter how big or small. Vanlife or not. I just have to do it on a shoelace budget 😆
