I hope the contestants are excited as I am for this! Good ideas for adding some variety.

I love that we're experimenting with different stage lists. We need to gather experience and data to determine if stages are viable or not, not just boot them off of the stage list without a proper reason. Even if it turns out that all the experimental stages at the Gimvitational are trash for competitive play, at least we will have learned something for the future and can back up a claim. We did this with Wario Ware; It was actually sometimes used in the early days of Ultimate because the layout is fun and unique, but the community quickly figured out that the side blast zones are way too close and thus (sadly) not suitable for fair competitive play.

Aw man, I can't believe you didn't include hazards on Battlefield in the ruleset! smh /s obviously, this is really cool.

Can someone please explain to me how there exists any legitimate reason for Hollow Bastion to be Hazards Off here? Hazards Off prevents the stage having the final stock Dive to the Heart transition, which is not obtrusive. And as far as I'm aware, it's the same stage layout. GimR should change this, I see absolutely no reason to hide one of the coolest stage animations in such a format. It seems like an oversight, unless there is significant blastzone changes.

Can I like this twice? I've been toying around with out-of-the-box rulesets for some time now and don't have a perfect way to deal with CPs in expansive stage lists, but your ruleset might have solved it for me! I'll definitely be trying this out in my friend groups and streams over the next week or two. Thanks GimR!

i think the issue with this is that with a tourney w such a big prize money, i dont think anyone will risk going for a stage they have 0 experience on, like pictochat or fod. Would be cool to see any games on them tho
