The girl playing Anne of Cleves literally isn’t getting as much love as she deserves. She’s literally amazing and you can tell how much she loves what she’s doing. They’re all amazing and I love this so much I just think she deserves more love
Carissa Kanae no she’s not, aimie atkinson (katherine howard) has been in the original fringe cast and now this west end cast. the original anne of cleves (genesis lynea) is her girlfriend so they used to perform together at the fringe but then anne of cleves got recast to alexia macintosh (the cleves in the video) xx
Dani the original actress is in the West end. This is an alternate. Aimie Atkinson who is the main actress for the role took sick and was in hospital. This I believe is Grace Mouat. That is why she doesn't have pink hair. I could be wrong tho
I love how, even in these casual outfits, the ladies are still wearing colors reminiscent of their costume color schemes. Aragon: She's wearing orange-yellow pants, and Aragon's costume is primarily colored yellow and gold. Boleyn: Millie is wearing a green top, and her dress in the show is, of course, green. Seymour: Her color in the show is white, and she's wearing a white top. Cleves: Alexia is wearing a dark pink dress. Cleves wears red in the show. Howard: So, obviously Aimie's K Howard costume is primarily pink, but here Howard is being played by Grace. Grace's swing costume is primarily black and gray, matching her black top and grey camo pants. Parr: Finally, Parr wears blue. Maiya is wearing a sparkle silver and blue top. Maybe this was totally intentional, lol, just something I noticed.
I love how when Hamilton re-tells history it's "amazing, inspiring, groundbreaking" but as soon as Six does it in an empowering, feminist way it's "terrible" or "BTEC horrible histories"
Idk, i think the music is a bit dead and boring. I think they could've done so much better because it seems like such a good idea to make a musical about.
oh my god why is everyone comparing six to Hamilton there is allowed to be more than one musical about an event in history, there not even similar there just both about history, and I have seen both six and Hamilton
I'm pretty sure everything in this show is either a joke, or a song. Mostly both. There's this one bit, and this isn't exact, don't @ me, where Catherine Howard just straight up disses everybody's else like- "Oh, yeah, almost getting sent to a nunnery. Dying of natural causes and having a son. Getting beheaded, who else could know what that feels like? Surviving." And then she pulls aside the woman who got her own castle, countless riches and no men to tell her what to do with it and says "But all joking aside getting judged by a man based on how you look really sucks." Bloody gold
You can tell K-Howard is classically trained when she sings. She’s incredible but you can hear it in her voice. Her technique and presence is amazing. They are all so good
What’s interesting is (K-Howard) is actually an understudy for all 6 wives!! She has played every single one at least once so that’s why she has a very broad training I believez
“My sleeves may be green but my lipsticks red” “Funny how we all discuss thAt but never Henry’s little-“ In year 5 I had to do a production on the six wives and I was Anne of Cleves.
The fact that the song is a remix of greensleeves (a song written by Henry VIII to one of them, I think) is ICONIC I LOVE IT CAN'T WAIT FOR A CAST RECORDING
Amelia Andreas it was written for Anne Boleyn and that’s why her outfit is always green, they even put it in her verse for the final song of the musical
It was believed to be written to Anne Boleyn from Henry VIII but the style it is written in didn’t actually get introduced to England from spain until after his death.
Yujin유진 If your talking about the one in the green top, she’s called Millie O’Connell and just finished in 42nd Street at Theatre Royal! Shes so lovely and amazing I did a tap workshop with her
If you see all of them have the *hidden* cosplay. Aragon has 'orange' that is almost similar to gold Boleyn has green and the space buns Seymour has black and white Cleves has little things with red and the shorts About Grace didn't found something And Maiya has blue in the crop top and the earrings Yes, I was thinking about it so much hahaha
Anyone who wants to criticize should consider that in their post-performance interview they mentioned that they had been in rehearsals for less than a week (they might have even said they'd met that morning, I can't quite remember)
Growing up I never really had someone I could look up to when it came to body shape, I’ve always been self-conscious about my figure and then here comes Millie, slaying the stage and looking gorgeous as hell and I see her dancing around, going all out, and giving it her all and honestly? Ish feels good.
Hope Rainbow ...honey this is not just a rude comment, it's plain ignorant. please think before you send. it's not like people decide to be insecure/self-conscious about body shape.
@@hoperainbow2046 The person you replied to posted this 8 months ago, and is also under no obligation to justify their feelings to anyone anyways, especially strangers online. I get that you likely didn't intend your comment to sound rude or ignorant, but as the other commenter pointed out, it did kind of come across that way. No need to get defensive, just accept the criticism and learn from it and move on.
Six Hawthorne Yeah “Move on” without getting more replies. You think that if I was lectured once I’d get the message. I never said that they were obligated anyways.
The sound for this performance doesn't do the song or show justice. They have three official recordings for this show on Spotify and I highly recommend listening to them to get a proper feel for the show
I recommend watching any other live performance where the venue doesn't limit them to their mics cause i personally feel that the beauty of this show comes from the energy on stage and the costumes and the choreography
I know this is a long time after this was commented and no one will see this but the cast was performing this before they even officially started so of course it won’t be as good. They still did amazing none the less. Also, they still use mics in the show but like I said earlier, they still hadn’t completely started yet so they didn’t have all their costumes and choreography at this point.
I love this so much. The fact they literally met each other the day before, and the girl playing Katherine Howard is the swing for the show just makes it more amazing!
The negative comments are the reason why new material can’t be made in the west end and or doesn’t last very long give it a chance personally I thought this was incredible!
I think this sounds a little pitchy in places, but for someone who spends all day everyday trying to tell these stories to bored teenagers, I'm dreading it-Catherine Howard and Anne Boleyn are stuck in my head and won't leave me alone!!!
This was only the day after they'd all met and rehearsed for the first time and the sound is never bang on at West End Live. If you're able to see the show, it's brilliant :)
Saw it yesterday in London. Awesome, fun, shame it's only 75 minutes long. I'm going to see it again for sure. The show was sold out. Hope they extend. And I especially like the moral of the story: (SPOILER!!!) Henry VIII is famous only because of his wives.
@@hannahedoss9345 well he only founded the church of england bc the pope wouldnt allow him to anull his marriage from one wife in order to marry another so still it all comes back to the wives #girlpower
❤Best things about all queens❤ Aragon: Was overall full of life and an amazing singer. Boleyn: Its Millie, and who doesnt love Millie!??! Seymour: Her voice was the best. Amazing. Cleves: You could tell she was having fun, not there because she had to be. Howard: Was very interactive with the audience, like at 1:56 Parr: Was beautiful, and very talented and engaged!
I was signing six at school and someone actually asked me if I still watched horrible histories I said 'Sorry (not sorry 😂) but I watch the best musical in the west end’ Edit: *singing
Back here after watching this year’s performances😍 What a glo-up wow, I thought they slayed here, especially considering they barely knew each other at this point, they made my jaw drop on the 2019 performance😍😍
I remember seeing Millie in a video about auditioning for Chicago and I was so upset when she didn’t advance but it was so awesome to see she went on to get a role as amazing as this!!! Also the fact that the swing actress, who plays any role which needs to be filled, is wearing camo as if to blend in is giving me life.
All of the girls exept from Anne Boleyn and K-Howard (because they are everyone’s favourites) are severely underrated look at Natelie Paris, so good at singing!
Okay, but can people stop saying that we need to give a particular queen more love. I ,for one, love all the girls individually and no one ever said they disliked one queen. We stan all of them and it’s okay to have favourites jeez.
Saw this in Edinburgh and it was absolutely awesome. These ladies are beautiful, talented, lovely and really sweet. Met them after the show, you can see how they support and love each other and you see that while they're on stage and off stage. Everyone of them is great, can't wait to see this fantastic show again.
I saw it live in Norwich, it was amazing... even more awesome than you can imagine. This is just a taste, each get their time to shine, tears, laughter, it had everything.
