thanks for sharing the detail for this optical spot. i like the color gel add-on to the front of the provided lens. please confirm how it installs whether its a snap on or screws on. also, please confirm the size (mm) assuming i can add to my canon ef lenses. gonna guess it will work so long as my canon ef lens is the same size.

The gels snap on to the front of the lens, not sure the diameter. You can attach any Canon EF lens to the optical spot.

fantastic info / product display / review!! have you purchased any 3rd party gobo patterns like from Amazon ? i noticed there are other makes/brands making similar optical spot/snoot with same round gobos but perhaps the diameter is slightly off in size to match each make of kit. The additional gobos for this LA wescott are kinda pricey but look like better pattern choices over the ones that come with original purchase thanks for any additional gobo info if you did try out others … otherwise, thanks for this vid!! 🙏🏼

Thank you Andrea! I have not checked out the Amazon gobos but I will for sure, thanks for the tip! You are right, the Westcott gobos (and anything from Westcott lol) tends to be expensive. Thanks for watching!

Would you ever consider the DigiBees to use as your main light since it has an LED modeling light which should make unit cooler?

Hey Rodney, my goal is actually to convert to a completely continuous system in my studio. But the DigiBees are a great idea too. Right now I'm happy with my Bees and they get the job done, even though they get warm with the spot. Thanks for watching and for the tip!

Could you suggest me if this can be used with which continuous light ,i mean which brand and power .i am thinking to buy one

Hi Bela! You can get the optical spot with a variety of mounts, so it works with almost any light. You just need to make sure the mount of the flash you purchase is compatible with the mount that you purchase with the optical spot. The bowens mount is probably the most common.

Hello , I noticed that lens making light spill like a round circle . I makes the shape sharp but around the shape make some light circle . Have you noticed that .? With other lens I used it is ok

Hi! If I'm understanding your question correctly, you can make a hard or soft line around the circle by changing the focus on the front of the lens. Hope this helps!

@@MrMkariniot Yes, you can do this by changing the focus of the lens. You can create a very sharp crisp circle or a diffused one by adjusting the focusing ring on the lens.

Sure! I use it with my Nanlites and other constant lights. You have to make sure to purchase it with the correct adaptor, for me it was with a Bowens mount adaptor.
